Lovely chill park. It has a baseball and volleyball courts. Also, a small outdoor kids gym. Our toddler enjoyed it!!

Great Place to Celebrate any event, The only thing I did not like is the time to end parties is to early.

EXCELLENT little park!…read more we had Sofia's birthday picnic here. had to put down a $200 check deposit to secure 2 tables and a bbq pit. front and center location was where they put us. good shaded area for this warm and sunny day. the tables were slightly on the smaller side, well, for a family of filipinos and mexicans at least. the bbq was the traditional park type. off the ground and large metal grates. the area we reserved and the area around was immaculately clean. grass was trimmed nicely as well. the slopes that are typical with my little town were negligible where our spot was. further out on the fringes, you can notice them. the park has it's own private parking lot which makes it very convenient. there is a "kiddie" pool on site that was very popular on this sunny warm day. the deep end was 3ft and the low end was 2.5ft. awesome for the little ones. well, not mine since we werent' dressed for it. overall, we're looking forward to coming back to hang out here and have another picnic. maybe not as grand of a scale as a birthday party, but, a little bbq and some sun. also, we'd love to come back and have the kids check out the pool. we should get some use out of our $10 recreation card!

We come here mainly jn the summer to use the pool. It is nice for small kids because they have…read morelifeguards and the pool is shallow enough that you don't have to worry. This summer we came the 2nd weekend and it was closed both Saturday and Sunday. When we called to ask why it was closed they said they didn't know. Today I called at 11:45 and they told me that the pool would be open at 12. When I got here we were told that they ran out of chlorine and were waiting for someone to bring some. Then at 1 we were told they would open at 1:30. Finally at 1:50 the pool opens and I'm told that my rec id had expired and I need to renew with 2 forms of id or pay. I said we've been waiting for almost 2 hours and we need to leave soon by the time I go home and get that it will be too late can you just let us in. The guy said uh no. Also if there is a birthday party the pool gets packed with kids and parents. Once the pool gets dirty they close the pool and tell you to come back next time usually within the last half hour. Also at the end of the season the lifeguards start to call out so if there are not enough lifeguards the pool can't open. Also they charged me $1 more than what is listed on the website. If you're coming from far away I wouldn't recommend. If you're local and have a rec ID it's worth taking a chance but expect to be disappointed

We came with friends for the 2021 summer concert series in the park…read more As the name suggests this park is next to the library.  As mentioned in another review, Library Park appears to be the official town center of El Segundo, as it's across the street from the high school.  As I enjoyed the tunes I could not help but appreciated El Segundo HS, which is a magnificent old brick building, reminded me of USC. The entire park, including the library building, covers only one square block, but what a lovely space it is. So, in this town square with old shade trees and a band stand are benches with dedication/memorial plaques. This is just a simple nice/clean park. The concert series was really fun.

Mayberry, as it's across the street from the high school. And the HS itself is a magnificent old brick building. This is a town full of treasures. So. When was the last time you saw a park with a band stand? How very cool. It's Library Park's crowning glory, as there are no sports facilities.......just beautiful areas designed to be eye candy. Like the rose garden. The entire park, including the library building, covers only one square block, but what a lovely space it is. The sports fields, basketball courts, and playground are behind the school just west of Library Park (see photo), allowing the central park to remain pristine. So, in this town square with old shade trees and a band stand are benches with dedication/memorial plaques. As I review more and more parks, I find myself pausing to read the words. And I have discovered that beautiful sentiments are found in parks. Such as the one on the bench in Library Park that reads "Meet me in the garden, Gardener Bob". Who knew that reviewing parks would become a spiritual journey? I thought I was just out seeking exercise. I found much, much more. And I have only just begun.
