My god, how do y'all in California deal with the price a fuel this high? This is crazy when you notice the prices of the fuel. But, having a rental it was a necessary evil to have to fuel up before heading to the airport to drop off the vehicle and head back home. Pretty simple stop, pulled in after figuring out where this location was. Right into a pump bay and utilized the pay at the pump feature. Fairly busy station, vehicles stream in and out all day. Honestly for the placement of this, I'm surprised that it wasn't busier. Did not go into the convenience store portion, so I cannot speak to the stock or customer service. Rude night attendant. I was on my way home to San Diego and needed to find a restroom at around 4:15am. I had high hopes for this location as it looked to be well lit and fairly clean at first glance. When I walked in, I noticed the bathrooms were "out of service". Conveniently located down the street from Disneyland, this station I'd rate as A-Ok. I think one person asked me for money, it's rather spacious and clean but the price is high. The Chevron on Ball and State College is the cheapest in the area. I think I was in need of gas and this was the closest Chevron at the time. WARNING; SCAM and RACISM Went here April 1st. Paid for one gallon, and stopped it as no gas was coming out. Recorded evidence of it doing this with another gallon. Taking money and running up but the spout when pulled nothing in the car or when i removed to inspect. When confronted about the fact my car had NONE of the gas in it- the man called myself and my hispanic fiancé slurs and liars. Refused to give any contact information and yelling curses at us. Manager refuses to respond, and never actually is THERE. Told random times and they are NEVER there when called. They also hang up. We contacted Chevron and they have done nothing and said the pumps where "checked two months ago" as if that fixed my issue of a month ago. Being that this filling station was almost directly across from Del Taco, and it had diesel fuel, it was an easy fit. Getting to it wasn't incredibly easy because of traffic, but it worked. I didn't even have to fight for a pump with diesel fuel, although that's often my experience with gasoline users hogging the only pumps that do both. Everything worked fairly well from card to receipt. They accept the Vons reward card and I didn't try my Safeway card, even though they're part of the same company. No hiccups with the fuel on the trip home, either. The convenience store is a little expensive but that's Extra Mile for you. At least, the person behind the counter was fairly friendly. read more

Counter service is fair at most Chevron stations, perhaps at any gas station. There are many Chevrons dotted all over Southern California and I patronize these stations for the sheer convenience and in having their credit card for gas and food purchases. You can save a couple bucks by being a VONS card member. I can't really comment on the quality of the gas, also marketed with Techron. All vehicles will eventually develop carbon deposits in their piston combustion compartment. You can purchase fuel additives every 25K (not a big investment). I would recommend 91 octane for higher end vehicles that require it and 89/87 for the remainder. read more

My Visa debit card was stolen. Amobg other transactions elsewhere, the thief tried to use my card for a $100 transaction at this Chevron. My card company told me time and amount of the transaction, and thankfully it was declined. I have called this Chevron phone number several times to speak to them about it, and to get information for the police report, but they don't answer the phone, it just kicks over to a fax line. This is a really nice, brand new Chevron that has popped off right off of I-5 at Katella. Well, not TOO new, but it got put in about a year ago. It's on my way both in and out of work, and gas prices are usually competitive for the area (especially considering the nearby tourist attraction-- not naming names) while maintaining the same quality that keeps me coming to Chevron. I always get AT LEAST 300 miles out of a tank here, while my gas light usually comes on after 275 miles or so on ARCO. Also, the convenience store and the restrooms are really clean, and they always (well, almost always) sell Monster Energy Drink for 2 for $2.99, which makes me a happy camper (esp. on groggy mornings!) The cashiers are courteous and consistent, and when I've been asked for change by local teenagers (real homeless who really needed help would be another story), the cashiers were quick to tell them to quit loitering on their property. read more

Large drive ways for easy two way traffic. Very wide aisles between filling stations. Pumps run smoothly and are kept clean. Squeegees are clean and soapy water is usually fresh. Paper towels are stocked. I come in twice a week and haven't had any issues. Traffic flows well through this station and the aisles are wide so you have good visibility pulling in and out. Haven't been here at night so I don't know how good the lighting is, but during the day, even at 8am, I've always been able to find an open pump. Pulling out onto Katella, turn right, and you're immediately facing the 5 North and South. If you're looking to use carpool, try to turn left onto Haster then left onto Gene Autry. Carpool entrance to both 5 north and south. Very convenient. read more

Right off the freeway, you'll be back on the road in no time. This gas station appears very clean and modern. Competitively priced for the area. They also have all your convenience store needs, motor oil, energy drinks, Funyons, condoms, Flamin Hot Cheetos, Pepto Bismol and a nice selection of Slim Jims. I didn't get a chance to check out the restrooms but I generally avoid gas station restrooms at all costs. Wanted to say I was very impressed with the staff and manager at this store. While checking out last Saturday night, both the cashier and I got distracted talking about the half marathon I was going to run. Because of the distraction, the cashier forgot to give me my $20 cash I had requested while using my debit card. I called a little while later and the cashier said she wasn't sure if she gave the money to me or not, but remembered me. So I gave the info from my receipt so the manager could review the transaction the next day. This morning when I walked in to talk to the manager, Mini, the manager, asked if I was there about the cash back and said her cashier had forgotten to give me the $20 and gave me my money. Normally, they don't bother me and if one ever did ask me for money I'd even strike up a conversation asking what they plan on doing with the money, but this one wouldn't leave a mother of two alone and he was way too close to her for even my comfort so I ran into the store to ask the cashier to do something about it. The extra mile chevron gas station at haster and katella in Anaheim is ripping people off and the manager is behind it they just tried to sell me a chocolate milk for 3 bucks. The price was marked at 199 but when I went to pay it was 299 when I called him on it he stated the computer is write but he would let it go for 199. This is not the first time they do that on cigarettes all the time saying that they forgot to change the price its by Disney land and they pull that stuff on the tourist because they don't notice or complain. They don't even deserve one star. The cashier, Kamrun, scanned both my boyfriend's scratchers and then asked him for his id. She proceeded to say she only scanned one and wouldn't give him money for the other and tried to give him a hard time with the one she owed money for. Then gave him the other and said she didn't scan it. We went across the street and the 7/11 said that it was already cashed. We went back and they told us we needed to call the 800 number. Getting gas is the same at every Chevron, but when I visited this one, I decided that I wanted to buy a lotto ticket. I must say myself, I look quite young compared with other people (especially when I'm wearing minne ears and disneyland attire) but this man tried to rip me off! I just wanted to purchase a Powerball lotto ticket, and he said "okay that will be 10$." I was so confused.... I asked him, "isn't a powerball only 2$?" He responded, "it is 10$ for 5 powerballs." The last two times I've come to this location I've had an issue. First one, rare situation but someone had stolen from the store and was trying to get away fast. In the process they hit my car which was getting gas and took off. They have NO cameras to help. The only thing they had inside was live surveillance and they didn't help much/ care about my situation. Then about a year later when I'm not worried about going there anymore a homeless man comes up to me while I'm pumping gas asking for money. I told him I'd buy him something to eat or drink instead. He asks for Gatorade and a banana. I go inside and the chick at the counter asked me (with attitude) if I was buying them for the homeless guy. I asked if that was an issue and she said yes and wouldn't let me buy my items. So I left them there. Had to tell the homeless man I couldn't get it and had no cash to give him and then I left. I used to stop in for gas and sometimes beer since this is walking distance from my house. However, I came in here and asked for change one day. I was rudely told by the clerk that I wouldn't be getting anything unless I bought something. His register was wide open, therefore he didn't need to wait for it to be open again (it's usually a clerk's excuse). I politely asked why couldn't I just get change seeing how the register was already open??? The customer ahead of me, asked why was he being so rude? All I wanted was change so I can simply give a dollar to a homeless man outside! I was treated more like a beggar, and was made to feel so uncomfortable in front of a line of people asking the same thing I was!
