I have been coming to this Arco for years. I frequent Disneyland and this is a convenient location to grab something quick after leaving the parks. It seems that every time I go there, the older gentleman behind the counter is extremely rude. I have started avoiding this location unless I absolutely have to stop in there. He has even made my mother and daughter feel very uncomfortable. It is very unfortunate that he feels the need to be rude to not only us but I've witnessed him being rude to others as well. read more

I will say, the bathroom wasn't the cleanest but honestly, better than I expected for a gas station. I will say their items are a little overpriced and the 35¢ debit fee didn't make it any better. I've stopped by this Arco AMPM numerous times over the years. Generally after trips to the Happiest Place on Earth (aka: House of Mouse). Literally right down the street. I go here to fill up mostly because it's less expensive than the gas stations closer to the parks. On a recent visit, the pumps were down (technical issues). I'm partially disabled. There gas pumps DO NOT SAY DEBIT ONLY. They only accept credit and cash inside. Aside from the credit and cash only being accepted inside with no signage, there's a $2 CREDIT CARD FEE OR $00.35 CHARGE FOR DEBIT. I was late to the Endless Summer Yelp Elite event so I drove like a mad woman on a empty gas tank and hoped and prayed to God I'd make it and still have enough gas to find a gas station on my way back out. Damn, I'm one lucky girl. I was on fumes when I exited and Siri found me a gas station about .1 mile away and I cruised in and filled up. This place is brightly lit with lots of gas stations that are clean and well serviced. It's like an upscale Arco and it's the cheapest I've seen in a long time. Gas was reasonably priced for being near Disneyland and the convention center, and less than what we filled up in San Diego the day before. We got drinks for everyone in the car. Well one. I hate to give one star. Especially to a business that I've been patronizing for years (and still intend to). They have taken precautions such as the Plexiglass divider at the cash register and the floor decals. The problem is there is one cutout in the Plexiglass and two cash registers, one on each side of the same cutout. What happened to me on Saturday (December 26) is they decided to open both registers and called the next person in line while I was at one register. Next thing I knew, there was no way to practice "social distance" of 6 feet. I couldn't even do it with one foot - we were standing literally shoulder-to-shoulder, touching. This, after standing 6 feet apart in line! And actually it was not one person that came to the window, it was a crowd of four guys all together that crowded into the space I had been. Of course I did not tolerate this and as soon as I realized what was going on, I moved away, telling them they should be practicing 6 foot distance. It did not seem to matter to them. I had to wait to approach my register until there were no more people in line (because they kept on coming to the adjacent register). Just a footnote here - I had already waited several minutes for this cashier to open and at that time I was the only one waiting. This whole ordeal took so long that by the time I got out of there, my handicapped spouse (who had been waiting in the car) was coming in to see if I was okay! This is outrageous and should not be happening during a pandemic. I have been in this establishment many times, have waited in line prior pandemic and only had one register open. So they don't always use both registers. I complained to the cashier that they should have a hole cut out in the Plexiglass further down so two people are not using the same window. My message: This is a good station most of the time (absent a pandemic), they have cheap prices, good gas. Not worth it though if you get exposed (and remember, many don't show symptoms). This ARCO station has CHEAP GAS, as cheap as anywhere else I've seen it. It is just up the street from the hotel I stay at once a year in June when it hosts a National Swing Dance Competition. It is also very handy to both the Disneyland and California Adventure theme parks. You can pay at the pumps with either cash or ATM cards but be warned they don't accept credit cards and you'll pay a small fee, about $0.35, to use your ATM card but the savings in gas will be worth it. The am/pm minimarket is well stocked with enough munchies and drink options to fortify me for the long ride home to Bakersfield, which I'm usually starting late on a Sunday evening with work coming early the next morning. So I went in thinking you could leave your card with attendant while you filled up & then come back for it...attendant insisted I give a $ amount of fuel I needed and accepted no other option.
