Shrimp with egg, flat rice noodle.perfect.

We were told a table would be ready soon so we stood near the cash register. Then a staff saw us in the way so she scooted us to the actual waiting area by lightly pushing my back. Now I didn't appreciate her putting hands on me. That is not nice. That took me by surprise and made the lunch meal not as happy as can be. We were just 4 and they finally gave us a big table of 10. I appreciate that they didn't have us wait for a smaller table even though big tables were available. The runny egg with rice flat noodle looked perfectly done. Tried the chew chui dumpling which had lots of peanuts. The thousand layer sweet cake was just okay. Not enough salty egg taste. Lots of wintermelon bits. The server at our table was great. Attentive. Their parking lot gets full fast so I park on the street.

Came for dinner on a Wednesday night and the place was mostly empty. Very large restaurant with a lot of tables. We ordered the roast duck $19, honey walnut prawns $20, sweet and sour pork $17, stir fried beef fillet with assorted mushrooms $20, braised tofu and mushroom $17, BBQ pork and roast pork combination $19, fish with spicy salt $18. The food is pretty decent overall and is what you'd expect from a Chinese restaurant. A bit salty and greasy. Portions and prices are very reasonable. Typical Chinese restaurant service. Large plaza parking lot with plenty of parking. I would go back and maybe try their dim sum

Overall a decent dim sum places: some hit and misses dishes & has room for improvement as of the service. What I like: - pecking duck (crispy skin, juicy meat) - shumai (very bouncy: good ratio of meats) - shrimp rolls (i like how their soy sauce are lighter and less salty compared to other places I haven tried.) What I didn't like: - service is not as ideal. They seem busy and super hard to get their attention for water or checks. We ended up walking to the front register to pay directly. - the shrimp dumplings(Har gow) falls apart. Wouldn't get again. - rest of dishes: okra and beef tendons are okay. Not bad but wouldn't get again.

Located near the freeway ramps down in Belmont, it's wedged into a rather empty parking lot, while it has its own spaces in the back road where you enter, if you come in from the Main Street it gets a bit confusing as it's mostly just an empty lot at the front with debunked businesses, so just keep head back towards the other side of the building where it's technically the front door. Cheung Hing is a Chinese banquet style restaurant that also offers dim sum during the lunch time. I have been here for both the banquet style meal, and have also experienced the dim sum. Their menu is pretty typical on both sides of the meal menus. They were very busy for the banquet dinner and also when we visited for the dim sum. Price wise, they're not terribly cheap, albeit cheap for Belmont, both regular menu and dim sum menu. Portions of the food here are also not going to be huge by any means, but will offer enough for your typical eater, but don't expect large portions so you may need to order more to be filled. The service here is so-so, as the waiters generally have a hard time paying attention to you, and when you order things they will at times forget certain things and take a long time which really helps to raise the blood pressure. At the end of the day though, what really makes Cheung Hing not so special is the food itself, which is pretty mediocre and bland for Chinese cuisine. Just doesn't really feel like even the basic of dim sum dishes were good either as the ingredients just didn't have that freshness to it. There's not a ton of options in the area for dim sum, or at least actual sit down spots, so you could certainly do worse than Cheung Hing, but overall the restaurant just so-so from quality, quantity, and service.

The place is old and maybe needs an update inside. Service could've been better....but what can you expect from a dim sum style restaurant hahahaha. It took so long to get our dim sum (the place was empty on a weekday night). And everything is quite pricey....$7ish per steamed dim sum. The charsiu and duck were yummy and the plate was huge, but it was $20+....I think I'd rather drive to SF to get my dim sum and HK meat plate fix...

Solid spot for dim sum in Belmont! Have been here twice now and had the following during my most recent visit: - Pan fried chive dumpling- good, but a bit oily - Shrimp & bamboo shoot dumpling- average har gau, didn't notice any bamboo shoots though - Pork & shrimp roe dumpling- very good siu mai, one of my must orders - Pan fried turnip cake- came out a bit cold the first time I was here, but tasted a bit fresher the second time around - Puff BBQ pork bun- the custard buns are a bit on the sweet side for me, so I love getting this version of the pork buns for a bit of a sweet treat - Steamed bean curd roll- probably my favorite dish I've had here, the texture and flavor of this dish is always on point and the bean curd is filled with the perfect amount of veggies and meat Extremely quick and attentive service and the restaurant seating area is really large and cozy! I've always come a bit on the later side, around 2pm, so haven't had any issues at all with wait times, cleanliness, or service. I also love the green tea that is always served with the meal.

Dim sum is good. Food is authentic. Parking is in the back. Don't follow directions via Google Maps. Use this address instead: Cheung Hing Restaurant Parking. 678 Ralston Ave, Belmont, CA 94002 https://maps.app.goo.gl/vNU61da47weu2oBj8?g_st=ic

Service is pretty good here and food came out rather quickly. It's a pretty standard dim sum spot and for being in Belmont, it is pretty good because options here are limited. There's a few spots on the street but the parking lot in the back is easy and there's an entrance out there too.

A very affordable dim sum place, we came for dim sum on Sunday, a lot of people waiting for table. The food is ok, nothing very special.

The last time I went there the fried rice tasted like cigarettes, and they didn't have the sesame balls that they had the time before.

The roasted pork and soy sauce chicken were standout dishes for me -- flavorful, juicy, and nicely presented. The truffle fried rice was also surprisingly good and packed with flavor. Loved how many different dishes we were able to share around the table. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was that service slowed down once the restaurant got busy, and some dishes felt a bit expensive. But overall, the food quality, presentation, and vibe made it a really enjoyable dinner spot in San Mateo.

I had the pleasure of having lunch here on a Friday afternoon. We were a party of three, with a reservation for 12 noon. It was my first time here, but my niece had been to Palette several times. So she knew the best tables and how to order. We were seated in a booth towards the back near the kitchen. There was a steady flow of staff walking by. Anytime you needed something, you just ask someone. We decided to order a variety of dim sum, the Signature Peking Duck (half), and the Pan Seared Seafood Noodles. Everything was delicious. The presentation of the Peking Duck was beautiful. They used momo pancakes instead of steamed bao. It's not a duck chopped in half. It's an offering of crispy thin duck skin, with chunks of boneless duck meat underneath. Served with cucumber, radlish, scallions and hoisin sauce. I think my favorite dim sum was the Yuzu Walnut Prawn Puff. Crunchy fried prawns w/ yuzu sauce, and candied walnuts. It's considered an elevated modern dish. Don't forget to check out the koi pond with live fish on the community table top. Free parking in mall lot. I parked on the roof and took the escalator directly down to the restaurant.
