A nice couple enjoying their wonderful breakfast.

A classic all American diner in an old rail car serving perfect diner food for breakfast and lunch. Highly recommend it and a complete diner experience by an all female team.

The Bird, the Cheers of Diners, where everybody knows your name (just not mine), and NE version of NJ BEC.

Should Chet, Chet Jr, or CIII be alive and running this diner, I don't think they care much about my review or number of stars. This place is probably always busy with the locals and when I walked in i immediately thought "oh, the Cheers of diners, where everybody knows your name (except for mine). Since there are no 1/2 points I do have to settle on 3 after leveling off the pleasant experience and atmosphere and my meh food. However, I do recommend coming here! Next time I won't do takeout but sit and enjoy the back in Time Machine.

This place is always packed but they have a high turnover wait since there are counter seats and actual tables. I love ordering their Bill K combo which comes with two eggs and choice of sausage, ham or bacon in addition to pancake. I always upgrade the pancake to blueberry for an additional charge. The pancake is packed with a generous amount of blueberry. It is not too sweet yet fluffy and delicious. The size is huge too, fills the entire plate. The combo also comes with coffee or tea, the coffee is refillable. The staff are friendly and fast. I'd say to be here early because they close at 11am!

Charming breakfast diner built in the 1930's. interesting nostalgic decor that seemed very little if any change over the years. We sat in the room opposite the counter. The place was moderately busy and we were seated immediately. Our waitress was very busy yet attentive and friendly. The menu was simple and offered basic selection of breakfast options. I ordered coffee, two scrambled eggs, bacon, wheat toast and hash browns. My friend ordered apple juice, ham and cheese omelette with mushrooms, home fries and marble-rye toast. My eggs were cooked to order and fluffy. Bacon was crispy, potatoes were slightly crispy and tasted freshly grated(not from a frozen bag). Toast was basic and nicely buttered. My friends omelette was also cooked to order and delicious. Overall, we were very pleased with our meal in terms of taste, portion size, service, and value (total bill was $14.50).

a plate of french toast and a cup of coffee

After driving by this diner for years, I finally stopped in on a rainy Wednesday morning at 8am. The place was packed! Jess, the owner, made me feel right at home. I sat at the the counter and the waitress immediately brought me hot coffee. Food was good! I got the Texas French toast combo with eggs and bacon. I will definitely be back!

Eat the eggs. My little leaguer ate three eggs and ever since he added over 10mph to his fastball - now he strikes out everyone !!

I'm not sure if they're still open, I've stopped by during open hours a bunch of times and they're always closed.

I got eggs, home fries, bacon, toast, and 1 pancake. There's a small parking lot and service was very friendly. I waited only a few minutes and my order was taken quickly. The eggs and toast were good. The bacon was okay - just normal bacon and not overly smoky. The home fries were also good. A little smaller portion, but they were cooked well. The pancake was super fluffy and tasted really yummy with the syrup. My only gripe was that it was cooked near or on something with garlic and parsley so about a third of it didn't get eaten. I went to bite into it and it was maple garlic town in my mouth and that threw me off. However, I was nearing on full anyway so I kind of was like eh it happens. I did let the server know before I headed out for future orders and stuff but I didn't want an extra pancake or anything since I ate a good bit of it. She was super nice about it as well. I got the check and left cash on the table. It was about $21 for the meal and 2 drinks. It's a cute little spot and I would go back probably just for the pancakes and the nice service.

The bellies were good but I really didn't like the breading. It lacked flavor. I found myself adding salt and pepper which is strange to even think of adding to seafood. Nevertheless the place is cute and the servers were friendly. Definitely full of locals. I'd come back.

Upon walking inside, you'll immediately feel like you've gone back in time. It gives off a very classic, old-fashioned diner feel, with booth seating and red stools along the counter. Important to note that this place is cash only. Lobster and other seafoods are advertised as their specialty both online and within the restaurant. I never had a lobster roll before, and unfortunately, this place made me think lobster rolls were mediocre and overrated (and then I had my life changed by lobster rolls from other places). FOOD: Lobster Roll (6 oz.) (2.75/5) - I opted for mine to be served warm with butter. It came with a side of slaw and very generous portion of onion rings and fries. The lobster roll itself was lukewarm and the melted butter came on the side in a small plastic cup. (I was expecting for the butter to be more incorporated.) The lobster sat on a small bed of cut lettuce. The lettuce wasn't of the freshest quality as some pieces tasted strangely bitter. The lobster was a tad rubbery, and everything was overall bland to me. I found myself reaching for the salt shaker more than would have wanted to. SERVICE: I believe a new hire was getting trained during my visit, so it was a bit clumsy. However, I found it rather charming. They are all very warm people, and you can tell that this is a family owned establishment, which is why I really wanted to like this place. TLDR// Unfortunately, did not have the greatest first lobster roll experience here. Hopefully, I went on an off day or I was better off ordering something else.

Small place, doesn't look like a diner from the outside, but once inside the back room, you can see…read morethe tell-tale diner shape. Interesting hot rod decor to distinguish it from the rest. Busy joint, tight seating, and energetic servers who keep attentive. -- Patty Melt: So much to like about this, from the marble rye (though I think pumpernickel) to the full size patty (better than the double smashed you get elsewhere) to the onions to the gooey melted cheese to the extreme juiciness and pleasing flavor. I didn't detect any Russian dressing, but this sandwich wasn't lacking for moistness or flavor oomph. A near-elite rendition and one of the best I've had in a while. Excellent. -- Fries: Included with the patty melt and a plentiful supply. The bad news: they're the dreaded industrial "coated" kind. The good news: they were piping hot and cooked perfectly, crisp outside, fluffy inside. The great news: you can substitute home fries. My server offered a sample of the home fries. -- Home Fries: I found them to be right in my wheelhouse for doneness, crispness, seasoning, onions, and overall texture and flavor. Superb. Between the good looking plates that passed by and my enjoyment of my own food on my first visit, there's sure to be a second. Looking forward to returning with my wife for breakfast and more of those home fries.
