Chet's is the gold standard of a cleaning service. I had them come to clean carpet and a rug. Zack was terrific. He came to the door with a person he was training. They were both polite and extremely careful. They protected painted corners with padding so the hoses didn't damage anything. They put clean pads all over my wood floors so they didn't get wet. I had a grease/ dirt stain on the carpet that they removed completely. Everything looked beautiful when they were done. I would highly recommend. read more

Chet's broke two plastic pieces on two sets of my blinds and told me that there was nothing they could do when they returned the cleaned blinds to me. The owner pointed to the waiver that they had me sign, but that was just saying they may not be able to get things fully clean, because there could be sun damage. They broke the plastic because they were careless and said, "well, it was brittle." After I told the owner that this wasn't right and the pieces should be replaced, he said he would try to get replacement pieces. He said he would call me within a week. It has been two weeks and I haven't heard back. Do not do business with this company, they will not be considerate of you, your time or your property. There is more that I am unhappy with in my experience with this company, but I think I have said enough. read more

I had used a large local cleaning service in the past. They were OK. Then I read the reviews on Chet's and thought I'd give them a try. From the initial visit where the experienced estimator gave me the price estimate through to the cleaning done of two chairs and an ottoman yesterday, I am beyond thrilled with the results. These people are perfectionists. They really care about cleaning whatever is needed and will not stop going through their arsenal of tools unless it will damage the upholstery. I found Chet's after searching for furniture at a high end reconsignment shop. They came highly recommended by the staff there. I was looking to have 2 floors of carpeting cleaned but ended up replacing one floor with hardwood. They came out right away to give an estimate. I was impressed that they covered their shoes before coming in, showed me how to correctly spot treat the carpet as well as gave me realistic ideas on what to expect from their cleaning. The price was definitely more than I was used to paying but I decided to give them a try. I needed to reschedule due to remodeling parts of my home and they were understanding. On the day of cleaning, they called to let me know they were on their way and what time to expect them. Two young men, Dev and Pat, came and protected my front door, laid down coverings to protect the tile floor in my entryway and put on clean rubber shoe covers over their shoes. They took their time and my carpet has never looked better. It smells better, is visibly cleaner, softer, just all around pleased. Devon and Pat showed me the one spot they were unable to clean due to it being stained by an older piece of furniture that used to be placed there. They cleaned up after themselves, explained what they did, how to best let the carpet dry, gave me a bottle of carpet cleaner and booties to protect the carpet if I had to walk on it. I've never received such detailed service from a cleaning service. They took longer then any other service I've used in the past but the results were infinitely better. Wonderful, professional cleaning experience! I had my entire house done the other day and it took them approximately 10 hours to finish. The two men that came to the house couldn't have been more professional, courtesy and thorough. They got a majority of all the stains out of both our furniture and rugs -- which isn't an easy feat in our house full of children and pets. I wouldn't think to use anybody else! The last time I used Modernistic to do the same job and NOTHING looked clean and the service was sub-par. I live in Troy, Michigan and I have been using Chet's for over 15 years while on their "always clean" program (carpets cleaned twice per year). I have never been disappointed with their work. All employees at Chet's are very professional, well-trained, courteous, and very quality conscientious, which no doubt reflects the owner's management style. Just this last month Eric and Mike (the owner's nephew) did a great job in cleaning my carpets, including even repairing a spot where I had carelessly let an ash from a fireplace match fall, searing the carpet. Even though this would certainly not be considered a normal "cleaning" issue, at no added charge, Mike carefully trimmed the burnt fibers so thoroughly that the spot is no longer detectable! Again, Chet's always exceeds my expectations, and I will never use another vendor. I have used Chet's for over 30 years. The most recent experience was to clean my Hunter Douglas Luminette Sheers and remove water stains from my Silhouette Shade. When the estimator came out he said we can get any spot out as long as you tell us what it is and what you used on it and explained verbally and with the brochure pictures how they clean stairs. I had to sign a form stating they may not get the urine spot out and if I wanted them to come back it was another $125! They didn't clean the stairs as the pictures showed, didn't use the blowers they promised nor did they perform a walk through. For the high price I expected integrity. read more
