Mark is the best person to get the job done hands down. I own a restaurant with a ton of foot traffic rendering a significant amount of wear and tear on the carpet. I had booked Pristine Clean after consulting Yelp, and just wanted to come full circle to confirm that the service was as good as expected. Over the phone Mark quoted about $200 to clean the carpet in our second story master suite. Upon arrival he measured the space (excluding the space under King bed as I told him we would never move it) and said that cleaning the space would be his minimum charge of $150. He was very professional and conscientious during his time in our home, asking if we had any pets (the front door had to be ajar during the cleaning for the tubes coming in from his truck) and covering and uncovering his shoes each time he entered or left the house. He came over the same day that we called and he quoted us a price that seemed high at the time (we saw ads for carpet cleaning as low as $89 for two rooms) but as we found out, it was well worth every penny. I have been using Pristine Clean for probably 5 years and I am more impressed each time I have my carpets cleaned. Owner and cleaner extraordinaire Mark Newvine impresses me year after year with the thorough job he does, right down to remembering the layout of our furniture and the "trouble spots" we have had over the years. When there are stains or spots for him to tackle, he asks a lot of questions so as to determine the particulars then suits the methods he uses to that particular stain. Once we had a particularly tough stain and he came back three additional times (at no charge) trying different techniques until the stain was gone. His prices are very fair and he frequently offers "off-season" discounts (25% off in February!) and you always get quality work - Mark is the owner and only employee so you always get him. He often suggests services he offers that might improve the look and last of your carpet (Scotch guarding etc.) but is never pushy. He is friendly (makes small talk with my kids) and considerate (makes sure pets are secured before opening the door) and always prompt (if not early.) His cleaning services even include a bottle of the spot remover he recommends you use as well as a pair of "booties" you can give your next service person (cable guy, repairman, etc) to help keep your carpet clean. We have used Pristine Clean twice and he blows away the National companies - hands down. His pricing is competitive, but his service is top notch! He is the owner and personally comes to the house for a free estimate - no add on charges. Wait - there's more. Both times we've used him - he has come back to work on problem spots. The first time, he stopped by when he knew we were moving in - and recleaned the stairs where movers kept their shoes on and the carpet got dirty. And, this time - he came back to work on a tough stain (red candy) on our wool carpets. Who knew - how hard it was to get red dye out of wool. Well, Mark did and he came back and it came out. But wait - there's more - both times, there was no additional charge for the second visit. I've never been so impressed with this type of in home service. I absolutely encourage anyone to call him - you will be so happy you went with him over anyone else.
