The staff are well educated in the products they carry and while I constantly hear how expensive they are, I have never seen the prices as too high, they may be a little more, but you are getting better quality material for that modest price increase. Compare pressure treated or standard framing from lowes or Home Depot with them m, there is NO comparison, Siewers simply carries a better quality product. They also do custom millwork, cabinets and much more. Their sales staff is great, the owners are 5 generations deep. I have known most of the family for years and cannot recommend them any higher.

The prices were amazing. I literally paid $1.24 per foot for the wire where Home Depot was charging $3.78. I saved hundreds of dollars going here. The guys here knew there stuff too. Being a first time amateur electrician I only knew how to run the wire from what I read online. I was also depending on this knowledge to get me through the electrical inspections by Chesterfield County. The sales person, Jeff I believe" was awesome and broke down how to do everything step by step, and even told me all the material I had forgot about. I did everything he said and passed my rough and final inspections with out any problem.

My mother had a warranty issue with her lawnmower through lowes and this was the place they arranged to have it worked on. It was suppose to be picked up last week on 2 seperate occasions and Jeff called to cancel the pickup, literally minutes before he was suppose to be there. The reason was he, and I quote, "doesn't do pickups on cold, rainy, or frigid days and he would need to reschedule". Then it was a scheduling conflict that cancelled the second appointment minutes before he was suppose to arrive . He then told her he would be picking it up today at 10:30. Lowes called to tell her at 10:25 that he had called to inform them that he wouldn't be able to pick it up or do the repair at all. He hadn't informed them that he had already missed 2 other appointments as well. Lowes will hopefully ending their use of them for warranty issues. So for a week you strung along a customer, made them sit around and plan around your missed appointments, only to not show up at all and not have the decency to call yourself. Jeff your a coward and a liar and I hope this message reaches as many potential customers as it can. Please share this and keep other people from having to deal with this place.

CIP installed a full length mirror in my house. The problem is, they INSTALLED IT IN THE WRONG…read moreROOM. So, they moved the mirror to the correct location. But, the wall was damaged with a wall full of mastic (black glue) where they originally (and mistakenly) installed it. It took 3 weeks and several contact attempts before CIP sent a crew to sand and re-mud the damage. They said they would be back in a day or two to re-paint the wall. That was 2 weeks ago. UPDATE: 3 weeks later, the wall finally has been painted. 6 week repair in total. The wall doesn't look as good as it did before it was damaged. So, that's unfortunate. CIP installed 2 other projects prior to the incident mentioned above. The first one was a mirror that broke during transport causing a 2-week delay for the replacement to arrive. The second job went without a hitch. Summary: 2 out of 3 jobs came with incidents. This is really a 2-star review, but I'm giving 3 stars in case our unfortunate experiences with CIP were a fluke.

To get a timeframe for installation was absurd, I had to request a timeframe as I only got a date and was told I could call the day of to see when they would be out, not sure how a company is able to operate like that. I had a window of time that I was available for the set date and they still managed to miss the two hour window. Would not recommend a company that can't understand timelines and also damages materials.

This place has been super nice to me while i've wandered through their shelves to help stock my kitchen. I like their selection of all kinds of restaurant-grade supplies. They also have some unique items in their "used" items. if you want some dirt cheap cheesey coffee mugs or those clear frosted salad places, this is the place to find them. It appears these are bought from restaurants that are closing and resold at a fraction of the original price. I've been there several times over the past 5 years, and everytime, they seem to recognize me - not necessarily by name, but they know i shop there. These kinds of family owned businesses serve as the model for other businesses in how they treat customers, even the once-in-a-while customer like me.

Smallwares and small equipment is what most of their inventory is and they really have a nice well rounded selection. The owner is good guy and his son works there too. both a nice and know what they talking about, without spouting off at the mouth and wasting my time. Not the largest selection of large equipment but they would order you whatever you needed. I didn't need any heavy equipment, but If I did I would go to see Mike at Atlantis. I purchased a washer on 7-28-25 at the Colonial Heights store. I was told by the salesman that the…read morewasher could be delivered to my house the following Monday 8-4-25 for an additional $169.00 or I can be picked up on Friday 8-1-25 from the store. I chose to pick it up on the 1st because I needed a washer Immediately. The salesman said they would call me when it came in. Friday came and I never heard anything so I called the store at 2pm and spoke to the salesman again and he said the washer would not be here until Monday the 4th. I expressed my dissatisfaction with my service because I had scheduled help to get the washer into the house on Friday and I had no way of getting the washer in the house on Monday. Again, I was told I could pick the washer up on Friday. The salesman said there must be a misunderstanding. I asked to have a discount on the washer because of the inconvenience and the salesman said he gave me the sale price. The salesman then told me he could give me my money back as a resolution to the problem. I then asked to speak to a manager and the salesman said he would be here on Saturday. I called on Saturday and spoke with a manager and explained the situation again. I asked the manager if they could waive the delivery fee since I had no one to help get the washer in the house and he said he would do it for $129.00. I then said if you could bring the price down to $100.00 I would except that. The manager said he could not do that. I told the manager that I have bought appliances from them before and bought numerous appliance parts but obviously my words fell on deaf ears. I then told him to cancel the order and I would call him back on Monday to give him my credit card information to credit my account. I called on Monday and spoke with the salesman again and gave him my information to return my money. He said he would take care of it. I checked my bank account on Thursday and the money still had not been returned. I called the store again and the salesman said my account was credited on Monday and it may take 2 to 3 days for the money to clear. He said if you don't see the money in your account by Friday to give us a call. I finally got a receipt for the transaction on my phone Friday afternoon. I then called my bank to verify the transaction and they told me that the transaction was actually done on Friday and not on Monday like the salesman said. I know the customer is not always right every time but when you are told that your money has been returned and it hasn't, you can pick your washer up on Friday and you can't. Then you are told you must have misunderstood what was said. If they are willing to lie about when your money has been returned to your account would they also lie about when the washer was supposed to come in? Integrity is everything!!!! I have done business with The Appliance Place for years and I have bought a Refrigerator, Dishwasher and numerous appliance parts from them with no problems. My family has also done business with The Appliance Place before but after this experience neither my family or I will give The Appliance Place our business or recommendations any more.
