First, the website doesn't allow you to look at the menu directly. You have to go thru the pretense of creating an order, with pickup date/time required before you can view the menu. And at the restaurant, the menu is on the exterior of the front door, so you need to memorize what you are going to order before going inside. I ordered the Del-Rachel (AKA Turkey Reuben). This was a delicious bagel sandwich. It's comprised of turkey, Swiss cheese, coleslaw and a special sauce. The Del-Rachel comes with some fabulous kettle chips and a pickle. I was able to request a sesame bagel for the sandwich. I wasn't down completely with the idea of coleslaw on a bagel, but they let me have the coleslaw on the side. What they call a creamy caraway coleslaw was actually tasty. In the end, my Del-Rachel was great and I will definitely be back. It may be a little difficult to find Bagel Uprising because it is set back from Mt. Vernon Ave and sandwiched between two other businesses. Also, note that although there is no indoor seating, there's plenty of picnic tables out front.
