We both had onion bagels with the jalapeño cheddar cream cheese and the flavor of both was SO good. The bagel itself though is pretty chewy and tough to bite into - not sure if it was just because we went later in the day or if that's how they always are. I wouldn't hesitate to go again though.

Skip Einstein's, this place is as good as any New York or New Jersey bagel shop. Get your lox or cream cheese breakfast sandwich. You won't be disappointed!

I love bagels, the problem is there aren't many bagel places in Utah. Even less of said bagels are fresh and delicious and made East Coast style. Cheryl's bagels were absolutely amazing. It's a small little shop in a strip mall set-up. The bagels are soft but still chewy with a nice outside shell and such a yummy flavor! (They are NOT hard, tough, or rubbery). They really blew my mind and were even more than I was expecting!! I've already been two days in a row. (Yes, there that good.) They have a big, unique selection of cream cheese, too. Including green olive, blueberry lemon, bacon scallion, and caramelized onion. One thing I would like to see is a cinnamon raisin or a blueberry bagel(there are only savory bagels currently). This place is like a little piece of the East Coast. I will definitely be back for more!! My only complaint is that Cheryl herself is not the most friendly person I've ever met. She is a bit brusque. However, my interactions with her employees were good, they were friendly. So, them and the bagels will still keep me coming back for more.

What in the world, why did I not discover Cheryl's Bagels earlier? Cheryl's bagels are dangerous and I hope she knows that and is proud of herself. Walk in and you immediately smell the aroma. I went at 8am and there was already a line and people going in and out. I am not a morning person, but I'd be willing to wake up early once in a while to indulge in these bagels. This is a small store with an assortment of bagels as well as cream cheese flavors. Cheryl helped me pair the bagels I was interested in with the cream cheese and sandwich I wanted. I ended up walking away with a pork roll, egg, and cheese sandwich in an everything bagel as well as a zaatar bagel with jalapeno cheddar cream cheese. Cheryl gave me a sample of the zaatar and the jalapeno cheddar cream cheese to make sure those were the flavors I wanted, and I'm pretty sure it was also to make me want more. The breakfast bagel was warm, the cheese was melty, the egg was fluffy, and the whole thing was an experience. The everything seasoning was so savory and hit the spot. The zaatar and jalapeno cheddar cream cheese bagel was delicious as well. The jalapeno cheddar was so strong that it overpowered the zaatar, so if I were to get a zaatar bagel again, I'd pair it with a milder cream cheese. Still, absolutely delicious. Yes, I finished the bagels before I reached home. The texture of the bagels were the definition of perfection. The best kind of chewy you could want in a bagel. Next time I visit, I'm going to bring a lot more bagels and some tubs of cream cheese home with me. That fridge full of different types of cream cheeses was so dangerous. Even though going to Bountiful is a bit of a drive for me, these bagels are 100% worth it. Everyone needs a little treat every now and then.

Cheryl is a delight! I live in New York, and want to say I know a thing or two about bagels. Cheryl's got it. Not the gummiest bagel, a little stiff, but a great bagel and even better spread. Green olives and cheddar jalapeño were delicious spreads. Good portion. Everything bagel was bomb.

Looking for a new venue near home to satiate my morning cravings, my wife told me about a new bagel place in Bountiful her cousin had recommended. We took a quick drive down the hill to Cheryl's Bagels which is located in the strip mall on the south west corner of 500 South and 200 West. There was plenty of parking when we arrived and a few people lined up at the counter. The interior is very clean and organized with a nice display of the nine or so types of bagels offered. I took a few pictures of the place and when we ordered the woman taking orders at the counter asked why I was taking photos. My wife outed me as one who does Yelp reviews so my cover was blown. I got childishly mad at her and left to sit in the car after ordering a plain bagel with cream cheese. My wife ordered a garlic bagel with the Lox spread. After we got home and I had cooled my jets, we sat down and had the bagels for a late breakfast. The bagels themselves were really good, nice and chewy with a smooth crust, just like they should be and not like the roadkill bagels at the chain bagel shops. We shared half a bagel from each of our orders and I felt the plain cream cheese was a better value as the lox spread didn't have a lot of salmon flavor. There were some other spread options that might be good and I'll have to return and try them out. Cheryl's bagels is an owner operated place that produces a quality bagel. The hours and days open are short, probably so the owner can have a life outside of work. The spread and topping options are limited and a bagel plain or with spread is what you get, no toasting, no built up add ons like lox, capers, onions, whitefish, etc that you might find at a New York bagel place. But for a very good bagel itself, it's a great option. I'll surely be back to Cheryl's as a go-to local bagel shop.

I love bagels! I was excited to see that a storefront was open for Cheryl's bagels. We stopped by around 11:00 am on a Saturday. We were third in line but while waiting the line easily grew to about 8 deep. You can order bagels to go or have them slice it and add cream cheese there. Lots of flavors for cream cheese as well (strawberry, plain, honey nut etc) The bagel was big and chewy. The service is friendly and you can tell there is pride in the product. Will definitely come back.

Cheryl is the real deal. Full house on Saturday morning.

Elle M.

Cheryl is such a gem for SLC area. Her bagel shop is full first thing on Saturday mornings.

Big fan of Cheryl as well as her bagels! She is the nicest lady and you feel like family when you meet her! She makes the most amazing east coast style bagels and her breakfast sandwiches are to die for! My favorite bagel is her "everything" but my kids also enjoy the plain bagel with strawberry cream cheese. She is a must stop when you are in the bountiful area!

I'm always looking for small businesses to support with hard working people who love what they do, and this is the spot!! We got the honor to meet Cheryl herself while she gave us tasters of their AMAZING bread pudding. We got simple bacon egg and cheeses with some scallion cream cheese and a side of bread pudding. 10/10. This is now a go to spot for us. #shopsmallshoplocal read more

The best East Coast-style bagels in the state, hands down! No bullshit flavors like chocolate chip or blueberry! Here it's all about the classics---we're talking plain, salt, onion, garlic, sesame, poppy seed and the "everything." Cheryl also has started selling flavored cream cheese. The scallion was superb; I found the lox spread a bit too salty. The road to perfection comes at some inconvenience. The ordering system is a bit arcane. You must order your bagels in advance and they often sell out dates. Cheryl only bakes her bagels once a week. You have to pick up your bagels either in Kaysville or in a hard-to-find Sandy industrial park, but they're worth the effort! Figure about $18 for a dozen. The nostalgia of an authentic bagel? Priceless! read more

I enjoyed my husbands everything bagel sandwich, it had pork belly? Or something along those lines on it.. super tasty! - mine not so much I ordered a bacon egg sandwich on a rosemary salt bagel and it was overall way too salty. I wouldn't ever order that specific combo again. However I will be returning and taking the sweeter route. The website vs what is written on their boards don't seem to be the same so that made it tricky for me to say what I wanted without physically being there. read more

Just had a sesame seed bagel with jalapeno cheddar cream cheese at Cheryl's Bagels. It was hands down the best bagel I've ever had in my life! Delicious and I really loved the jalapeno cheddar cream cheese too and the little pieces of jalapeno! I guess they don't toast the bagels there. So when I go back, I will ask to have the cream cheese on the side so that I can take my bagel home and toast it first. I did heat it up in microwave when I got home, so yum! Hands-down these are the best bagels in Davis County. Having moved recently to Davis County, I was disappointed with the bagel offerings (and non-homestyle breakfast offerings more generally). Cheryl's Bagels was exactly what I was looking for. All of her food is amazing, but I think her Everything bagel and Honey Almond cream cheese are particularly awesome. The Everything bagel has a perfect seasoning recipe and the Honey Almond cream cheese has a rich flavor and super appealing texture. Beyond offering superb food, Cheryl cares about her product and her customers' satisfaction. Maybe it's just me, but this level of care and service is almost impossible to find post-COVID. She runs her business like it matters to her, and it is so refreshing. Last week I had some unforeseen circumstances and she reached out to confirm that I knew my bagels were ready for pickup. After I picked up the bagels but forgot the cream cheese, she personally delivered the cream cheese to my doorstep. She didn't act the least bit bothered by the fact that I inconvenienced her twice. Amazing food and service! read more

I'm giving this place a 4 because the basic bagels are very tasty, the spreads I tried were great, the service was excellent and maybe I caught them on a bad day. I bought a rosemary salt bagel and a salt bagel and I understand that salt implies that there is going to be salt on the top but there was so much salt on top that it was inedible. I had to scrap as much salt off the top as I could and even then, it was still very salty. read more

I drove 25 min for these bagels and while the bagels were pretty good, the customer service I got from the owner was not great. When I got to the front and asked for 4 sesame bagels, Cheryl said "whats in the box is what we have." and then she pointed towards where the bagels were and said "go look" in a rude tone. Meh, the bagels were good, but not great. I was incredibly disappointed with the pick-up - I was scheduled to pick up at 11, but apparently they were done hours earlier and the owner emailed me..... because that's what I do, check my email about bagels first thing in the morning. A text would have been nice - at any rate, by the time I got there, at our previously agreed upon time, the bagels were sitting outside in the fresh snowstorm on a shelf, nicely hardening up in the 22 degree morning. Needless to say, I wasn't thrilled. Bagels themselves tasted fine, nothing to rave about, and I presume they would have been better fresh, as I ordered them. I'll skip this place in the future, which sucks, because we were really looking for a great bagel place. read more

My wife had ordered from Cheryl's Bagels even before Cheryl had a storefront. It was like a breath of fresh air to savor those authentic New York bagels. Each bagel on the menu boasts simple yet quality ingredients and is freshly baked every morning. However, they tend to disappear quickly, so it's a smart move to arrive early! Cheryl exudes a charismatic energy that instantly makes you feel at home when you step into her charming store. She's more than happy to answer any questions, offer delightful samples of her delectable spreads, and she never rushes you, even if there are other eager customers waiting. Cheryl's commitment to quality shines through, as she only accepts the finest produce for her menu, and anything left unsold is generously donated. Following Cheryl's advice, if you can't devour all your bagels in one sitting, make sure to store them in a ziplock bag. And if you're not planning to indulge within a couple of days, it's a fantastic idea to freeze them for later enjoyment. In conclusion, these bagels are simply divine--doughy, dense, and bursting with exquisite flavor. Cheryl's Bagels is a hidden gem, a slice of New York right here in town, and an experience you won't want to miss! read more

The store itself is cute and the girl that served me was nice but the Asiago cheese Bagel hardly had any cheese on it. I asked for their soup special of the day which was 'chicken and rice' but they were out of it. It was 12:15 pm I was surprised at that time of day that they were out of it. The server said they had already had 4 people that had ordered the soup. Seems like they should have made more than for 4 people. Definitely disappointed because it used to be one of my favorite places to go. Hopefully things will go back to how they used to be!

Once home my ham and cheese sandwich was drowning in ranch (I didn't even ask for ranch!) I don't plan on coming back to cutlers after my last two visits being inedible. This hidden gem should stay hidden. It's a very beautiful place, but extremely smoky inside. Your…read moreeyes start stinging the second you walk in, and somehow the smoke follows you through the entire meal. We were quoted a 10-15 minute wait despite there being multiple open tables everywhere, which already set the tone. The person at the front also seemed like greeting guests was a personal inconvenience. Not exactly the warm welcome you'd expect from a place trying this hard to look aesthetic. To make things worse, several pastries sitting in the front display were visibly burnt. Not "artisan charred" -- just burnt. The pastries we ordered were actually good, which makes the rest of the menu even more disappointing. We tried the soft scramble, pork cheek tartine, truffle tartine, and mushroom fettuccine. Everything looked beautiful but tasted either burnt, bland, or both. Every toast item arrived burnt enough that you could taste it in every bite. Our server came by often to refill waters and check on us, but the service somehow still felt oddly impersonal. Since the restaurant wasn't busy at all, it also made us wonder how attentive the service would be during an actual rush. Honestly, this place feels more focused on looking trendy than serving good food. Stick to the pastries if you go -- it's the only thing worth ordering.

Leona our server - retook our order and kept our water and coffee filled. As they got busy service began to slow- special drinks slowly got delivered - and we had a noticeable wait for our food. But the atmosphere is very nice and our company awesome so it wasn't as noticeable. Food came out hot - which told us the kitchen was busy but our server was delivering the food quickly. Everything was delicious- well seasoned and perfect temperature- soft scramble look yummy - the Benedict so good they made it a yummy meatless dish! The eggs poached well and served with peas a really neat compliment to the dish. Mushroom pasta looked very good and I'll have to order it next time. Funghi pizza was excellent- the béchamel was excellent and melody of mushrooms yummy- crust was good a bit dark on the top but bottom crust good. Overall we weren't in a rush so the wait wasn't too bad - the food is excellent and worth the wait
