Will anyone differentiate their coffee shop or will they all sell pastries from My Favorite Muffin and serve walking burritos? Bad customer experience here as well. No one behind the counter can even greet you or ask your order they even make it confusing as to where to order. It's not hard to offer a good customer experience and the two girls behind the counter sucked at it. With all the options I have for coffee shops around this area. I can't see why I'd come back here. thank goodness the coffee is worth it. But Disappointed. read more

Today was my first time visiting the Cherry Bean and I am here to share with management my experience. I was visiting your shop today to meet with a client to work through his process of grief as I am a grief recovery specialist. We were enjoying a quiet moment at the back round table and were interrupted by the barista with an alert that the coffee shop would be closing in five minutes. I assured her that we would swiftly finish up. At 5:03 she again approached us and said "I need you two to go. We are closed." To which I responded "We are finishing up right now." She responded by saying "Yeah, it's just that I work here and my shift is done. So you have to go." The barista then went and stood next to the front door with her arms crossed and waited for us. As we were exiting I said "I'm sorry we upset you so strongly" to which she did not respond so I followed with "..and I don't think I'll be coming back." She responded to that by closing the door behind us and locking it. This is the worst treatment I've received at a coffee shop in Denver and sad that I won't be able to return to support your business. What's worse is I was with my friend who is a cook at the ramen place across the street, who had spoken very highly of your shop, and was too incredibly horrified by the treatment. I imagine this isn't how you'd like your customers to be treated, so I wanted to share. read more

Super cute little coffee shop! While visiting Denver my friends and I would walk from their house to this cute place every morning. The iced coffee is pretty good! The matcha green tea latte is delicious but I would recommend adding a little sugar if you like your drinks on the sweet side. The employees are super friendly and they have free WiFi! Also try the Cuban toast. It is very simple but filling. It is also only $2 bucks! read more

We popped into Cheery Bean before getting our hair done for a quick pour over to survive our big wedding day. What a great idea! Though they say that they can't do pour overs during a certain time window, they will do them if it's not to busy, so beware of the clock when you're heading over. The service was great. Awesome little place. Very beautiful inside and you can tell the people working there are either the owners, or very invested in the place - I am really starting to appreciate the great service and atmosphere small places like this offer. Way better than any starbucks. We went with our 6 yr old son, he loved the vibrant colors and gravitated immediately to the hammock and couch in the back. Between his snickerdoodle cookie and his milkshake he was in heaven, dancing around to the great music they had playing. My BF and I each had the cubanito which was good, and I loved the pumpkin cream cheese bread and he loved his almond croissant. I cant wait to try the horchata latte next time! read more

I love this coffee shop! The barista recommended the dirty horchata, which was an horchata with a shot of espresso. It was delicious. I also had one of their gluten-free, dairy-free cookies, and I wouldn't have even noticed that it was gluten-free, it was so delicious. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff was very hospitable. This is a great addition to the neighborhood and I will definitely be back! read more

I had quite an enjoyable experience my first time here. The owner and his family are very friendly people. I got an iced Americano and I was very happy with it. They have chairs and tables to sit in and enjoy yourself in the great atmosphere. I chose to sit outside on the sidewalk tables the have available and enjoy the shade My coffee was delivered to me which I appreciated. Overall great experience! This is my favorite cafe in Denver, though I'm perhaps biased as I live within walking distance and like supporting the neighborhood. They use Sweet Bloom and Commonwealth beans, which are two local and very high-quality roasters. Their menu across the board is fantastic, including the pastries, breakfast items, and smoothies. I've been a lot of other good cafes in Denver, but given everything Cherry Bean remains my favorite. The atmosphere is also great. Nestled in Sunnyside's small "downtown" intersection of Tejon and 41st, it is in a beautifully renovated old corner store type building, with large windows and a lot of brick and woodwork. This part of the neighborhood is quiet without much traffic, but also feels fairly active. Looking out the windows, I am reminded of the day when people lived in small towns centered around active downtown main streets. The place is kept very clean. Lastly, the owner has a passion for coffee and treat customers with a lot of respect. You can find higher-end coffee drinks all over Denver, and Cherry Bean is among the best. read more

I love a creamy iced latte or a perfectly foamed cappuccino with some foam artwork and The Cherry Bean has me covered. I live close by and find myself walking over 2-3 mornings a week. Honestly, the best iced latte in the neighborhood. My friend said the chai is good as well. I really want to try some of their other drinks.... an ice cream one, one with horchata, one with condensed milk??... but I haven't been able to pass up my usual yet. I live in the neighborhood and have quite a few good coffee options to choose from - but this place has become my go to! The baristas are so personal and super friendly - Jose, Simon and Amanda. My boyfriend and I had the mocha shake, pumpkin spice latte, and a couple sandwiches. All delicious! I wouldn't have opted for the pumpkin spice but they make the syrup in house and it was fantastic! I'd never heard of this place before, and decided to stop in. I sure am glad I did! Not only was the staff BEYOND friendly and welcoming, but the menu was amazing! I was in the mood for something sweet, but I didn't really know what to try, so I got a cold horchata,(I think it was called a "frozen horchata")and I am so glad I chose that! It was PHENOMENAL! I also got a chocolate covered rice krispie treat, and OMG-DEELISH!! Like I said, I was craving something sweet, and the sweetness was like an organic sweet, not that ARTIFICIAL CRAP! Everything was PERFECT!! Another big plus about this place for me was the environment! And both times a relaxed encounter with helpful, friendly people :) Both times the baristas offered information on the mountains and other fun things to do around the city. My friend and I visited Denver last year and Cherry Bean was on our leisurely walk to the city center. We stopped there everyday and always had great coffee and super friendly service.
