Half scoop of the Yas queen, full scoops of root beer and strawberry
    Anna L.

Super cute place! When we walked in, we were greeted by the friendly staff and was told we can take her time when figuring out what flavor we wanted. We were allowed to have as many samples as we wanted, so I first tried the Yas queen. This flavor, composed of hibiscus and lemon, and it was very, very good. I got a half scoop of that while my boyfriend got a full scoop of strawberry and root beer both of those flavors were excellent in the ice cream itself wasn't too heavy it was very light and balanced Making a very good summer treat as a whole. I did enjoy my experience and will definitely be back!

There has been anticipation since the announcement was made about this location. The original location being on 11th St (Route 66) made its rounds on location & being a vendor at many events + cities. It was only a matter for time for a brick & mortar to take place & now we're here. I went to the soft opening two days before & got the Mexican Hot Chocolate & Strawberry Coulis. There's something about getting my selection scooped out & being ready to consume right then & there. It's something I enjoy. Coming back to the official grand opening, I went with a scoop of Cherry + Almond Bark and a scoop of Boozy Blueberry + Thyme Graham Cracker. I'm starting to think the blueberry is my favorite flavor, the Strawberry Coulis is creeping up my list. The Cherry + Almond Bark is a staple & is the one that usually sells out quick, I'm surprised there was some left today because I know they were busy. S/O to Kim for taking care of my order & being super friendly. The owner, Kristi, was active in the kitchen while there were a good amount of people enjoying their ice cream. The place is filled with colors, art & all kinds of typography. This spot being in walking distance is a good excuse to always come back here, as if that was going to stop me to begin with.

We got to SoBo a little early for our burger night reservation at farmbar with friends, so we had dessert first! I'm so glad we popped in! There was nobody inside at all, but it was a Tuesday night around 6pm. It's super cute and cozy inside. I tried a half scoop of the seasonal caramel apple on a sugar cone, and it was the perfect size for a pre-dinner dessert! And that was the best bite of ice cream I've had in all of Tulsa. Hands down. Definitely try this spot. The employee working was incredibly social and friendly too.

Friendly service. The half scoop of ice cream is perfect for me. You can get two half scoops too. Waffle cone is $1.50 extra. I will be back to try the other flavors. There were a few vegan flavors available.

Love that they have GF and dairy free options. I highly recommend the cherry almond bark but the raspberry sorbet was scarfed down too. Also love this location.

This is a great ice cream stand with unique and delicious flavors located next to the Buck Atom statue. I believe the general store at Mother Road market also carries their ice cream and they participate in local farmer's markets as well. Shoutout to Gary M. for telling us about it and sharing his 7up cake flavor with us! (It's delicious, highly recommend!) I stopped by on a super hot day, which is the perfect excuse to get a cold treat. They specialize on making small batch ice cream using fresh ingredients and supporting local farms. They have flavors I've never heard of before like rosemaried grapefruit with pecans. The owner, Kristi, was very nice and cheery. She had a table with a big pair of dice and said I could roll them to determine how much to pay for the ice cream since it was national ice cream day. I only paid $4 for three flavors! Yay for getting lucky. They were all delicious. The mint chocolate is a bit too minty for me but some people like it that way. They have non-dairy flavors available as well. The stand is super cute with some seating options next to it. There are also picnic tables available in the lot. I enjoyed my time there and I'm glad they also sell drinks. Gotta stay hydrated in this heat!

We stopped by recently and tried their 6-cone scoop flight for under $10, and honestly, it felt like discovering a hidden gem. Let's talk about the flight first--what a creative and delicious way to sample multiple flavors! It came beautifully presented with six mini cones, each one packed with personality and flavor. We chose: Salted Caramel Ganache - Rich, buttery, with a perfect balance of salty and sweet. Honeycomb Lavender - Delicate and floral, with just the right touch of sweetness. Totally unique! Purple Velvet - Smooth, creamy, and a colorful twist on a classic. Bean Me Up Scotty - A fun, coffee-infused flavor with a punch of espresso and a playful name to match. Banana Pudding - Tasted just like homemade banana pudding, with a creamy, nostalgic feel. Hemingway Ice Cream - Bright and citrusy with subtle complexity--refreshing and unexpected in the best way. Every single flavor was delicious. It's rare to love all six, but each one had its own personality and stood out in a different way. On top of that, the cones were made fresh, and you could really taste the difference. Crispy, warm, and with that perfect homemade texture--they were the ideal vehicle for each scoop. It's clear Big Dipper takes pride in quality and detail. The shop itself was clean, cozy, and inviting, and it's clear they care about maintaining a tidy and welcoming environment. Everything looked well-maintained and thoughtfully decorated. Our server, Sofia, was absolutely friendly, knowledgeable, and super attentive. She wore gloves the entire time, made sure everything was handled hygienically, and helped us navigate the flight flavors without rushing us. Her genuine enthusiasm for the ice cream made the whole experience even better. Final thoughts: Big Dipper isn't just an ice cream shop--it's a full-on treat-yourself experience. Between the creative flavors, the fresh cones, the excellent service, and the affordable price, we left happy and already planning our next visit. 5 stars for sure. If you haven't been to Big Dipper yet, do yourself a favor and stop in--you'll be hooked after the first scoop.

We rode our bikes there since it's conveniently located off the Midland Valley Trail. I wish they had a bike rack nearby. The light pink tiny cottage house quickly catches your eye. They have frozen treats including signature swirls and shakes. You can choose your flavor --vanilla or pineapple whip (lactose free). Then choose cone or cup and add your toppings ($1 each). The candy toppings are pretty extensive, from Reese's to gummy worms and sprinkles. You can also add syrups and fruit toppings. They have 13 signature swirls including Route 66 (vanilla soft serve with strawberry, hot fudge, whip cream and cherry) and piña colada (pineapple whip soft serve blended with coconut cream and coconut pieces). I tried their pineapple whip in a waffle cone with chocolate syrup. My husband tried their vanilla big boy cup ($6) with Reese's and butterfinger. They have shakes available in chocolate, vanilla or strawberry. They also have affogato and coke/root beer floats. There was a huge line when we got there but it went through pretty quickly. They have a good system to order and pick up on different sides. There's a big table outside but no seating available. Great addition to the neighborhood!

Instead of a simple greeting like "Welcome to Sonic," I was bluntly hit with "What do you want?" over the speaker. No courtesy, no professionalism--just attitude. I let it go and said I had a mobile order for Larry, only to be told "pull forward" in a rude, demanding tone. It didn't get better. When my food came out, the employee practically shoved the bags into my face--aggressive and completely unnecessary. At that point, it was clear this wasn't just a bad moment; it was a complete lack of basic customer service. I called the store to speak with a manager, hoping to resolve the issue. Instead, I got even more unprofessional behavior. The manager dismissed the situation with "I'm not the one who did that." That's not the point--you're the manager, and it's your responsibility to address how customers are treated. When I pressed the issue, she escalated things further by cussing at me over the phone. Completely unacceptable. I've already filed a formal complaint with corporate, but given that complaints appear to be outsourced and handled with little accountability, I'm not holding my breath. If this is the standard of service at this location, customers should seriously consider going elsewhere. Respect costs nothing--and this place seems unwilling to offer even that.
