There was also a lot of varying information on the price of both self parking and valet for overnight. It seems the price changes depending on hotel occupancy. I did valet upon arrival and my bags were loaded up and delivered to my room which was great. I had read that check in can take quite a while but things went pretty quickly for me. This is a massive hotel so the walk to our room was pretty far. Although my room didn't overlook the ocean which the original reservation had been for, I did have a nice view of the courtyard from my little patio. The room is very cute and clean and nice sized. There's a walk in closet and full size mirror plus a steamer and coffee maker. I was able to hear my neighbors through the walls just fyi. My friend forgot a toothbrush and when she called the desk they brought her 4! I found that funny but we were grateful. We did order room service one morning and I was shocked that my favorite part was the kids fruit! What? It was such a nice size and the taste was phenomenal! The mint sauce over the sweet fresh fruit was seriously amazing. We did also get eggs Benedict that was very tasty as well. They mentioned it could take up to an hour and a half to receive our order however it came in about 20 minutes. Very quick! I was disappointed to see they didn't have and coffee options on the room service menu though. I did visit the cafe later and ordered a salted caramel latte but that was one insanely salty latte. I generally enjoy salted caramel, this one was a bit much. I did visit another persons room who had a fire pit right on the beach. I have to say that was amazing. Although it was still 80° at 2:30 in the morning we lit that sucker up for at least a few minutes to enjoy the ambiance. Overall I had a nice stay.

People are usually in a good mood, the weather is perfect, and the food passable, specially after a few drinks. But then reality hits when you go back to your room, or when you realize that the ocean is contaminated due to sewage coming from TJ, and also when the food starts to taste even blander after a few days. But first, the room. They aren't cheap, and that's fine, we chose this location. (I always disliked people who complain about things they chose). But the quality and cleanliness barely surpasses a Motel 6. Yes, its painted nicely, and have cute wall paper, but the shower is full of mold, there's dust, sand, and hair all over the room, refillable soap bottles are oozing with rust, and the maintenance is lacking. Then, after a few days you really need to escape the hotel food. But watch out, because the hotel never mention the beach being unsafe to get on, not even hidden somewhere on their website. I would come back for a couple of nights, no more than that. It will be easier to not be as disappointed knowing what to expect.

It's really not necessary to valet here because they have their own dedicated parking garage for self-parking. The front desk is friendly and informative. The interior layout doesn't flow too well. Elevators are tucked away and you have to walk deep down the halls to access one. There were only 2workers behind the bar restaurant and 1 person delivering orders in the pool area. You pay for the location and that is about it. The main lobby was super cute. We were very excited to stay here. But it took a turn when we were shown our room. The smell was so bad you could smell it a few feet outside of our door. We would wake up in the middle of the night because the smell woke us up. It smelled like mildew & mold so bad, on top of cigarettes and hospice. I went to call to ask for a new room and our phone didn't work. I moved the side bedroom table to see if it was plugged in and it was so dirty with bugs and lint balls. I didn't touch the phone again. I called from my cell phone to see about changing our room. She told me I could come the next day and take a look at other rooms that were available, but we were only there for one more night and we had plans with friends that day. The carpet is disgusting. The couch is so dirty. There were brown stains on the sheets of our bed. Every time the cleaning crew would come in, they would open every single window to the fullest to mask the smell. There's not a restaurant here so you have to go get your food and bring it in. There were dead bugs in the utensil drawers. So we used plastic utensils, and paper plates our whole trip. Our room looked nothing like the lobby. A motel 8 would've been better. Even the pool is sad. We were going to cancel our stay and book somewhere else, but we booked through Expedia and it's a nightmare trying to get a refund through them. Otherwise, we would've left after the first day. When leaving a manager pulled me aside and said he was going to comp one day resort fee for us because of the smell. He didn't have to do that, but it was nice of him. We will never be back unless they do a serious update. So sad because the location is killer!

I tried to convince them to go to a more upscale hotel, but they were determined to stay here, as they have been doing for years. My dad is a retired officer in the military, and he loves to be close to the base. However, while the pictures on this Best Western site look decent, they don't reflect what the rooms are actually like. Our room was cramped, gloomy and dated and gave me claustrophobia. The sheets and towels were like sandpaper, and the room is shabby and dirty-looking. The only small window looked out into a dirty alley. This was the most depressing room ever! In order to open the bathroom (which was disgusting) you had to make sure the closet door was closed. Carpet was dingy and the bedding was cheap and scratchy. The blanket was 100 years old and the bedspread was like an old shower curtain. There was ZERO natural light and the room stunk of musty, damp air from a loud swamp cooler. The ice machine close to our room was loud and people used it all night. The amenities were non-existent (not even bottles of water, so bring your own). The faucet handles barely worked in the bathroom sink, and there was no hot water. The WiFi is terrible and there are no modern charging ports to use. Housekeeping doesn't replace the linens or even come in to make the bed like a normal resort, unless you request it. What's the point of going away to relax if you have to clean your own room??
