I take a lot of metal in . universal metals pays so much better there prices vary slightly from week to week. Here's what they normally pay. $3.60, $3.50, $3.40 a pound for striped copper, $210 a pound for brass, $1.70 a pound for copper/ aluimium radiators. 20 cents a pound for batteries, 80 cents a pound for aluminum Rims, 55 cents a pound for chrome wheels, 80 cents a pound and down for aluminum if it's cut in 3 feet lengths or less. Brass radiators $2.00 a pound And top dollar for catalytic converters. They don't take cans. They pay way more 50 to 60 cents more a pound for copper and brass and double what spokane area pays. The guy is friendly and pays you in cash. I cash in over $4000.00 of metal in a u haul truck. I highly recommend this place, I like action but if you can make more it's worth it taking it to universal metals.

Their back end was open and debris was flying out all over I90 and cars were breaking and swerving all over to avoid getting hit by flying debris. My wife was in the fast lane to get in front of them and before she could, two pieces of debris struck my front wind shield and completely shattered it. My wife filed a police report and we notified Sunshine disposal and recycling, and they basically said "too bad, so sad" and that this falls under the category of a "road hazard" (whatever) and they are not responsible in any way. They also had the audacity to say the road debris could have come from anywhere, even though my wife saw it fly out of the back of their garbage truck. BAD BAD BAD COMPANY!!!!!

They treat me so well that I find myself looking for scrap just so that I can go visit them. They help me unload and sort which has taught me so much about different types of metal and wires. Makes me feel good to recycle items that can not be upcycled and keep it out of the the landfills. The gas money is nice too and they always pay me more than fair for my scrap. I went there today I had 47/13 gallon bags, and a 55 gallon drum of crushed cans I pulled up. The…read morelady came out and she said I will get you a bin park over there. The guy brings me a bin and it is half full of cans. I ask him how are you going to register my cans with all the cans in here already he said the scale. Rates them and he already Tare it. I proceed to rip open the bags and throw them in the bin bin bin started getting quite full so I told the guy I'm afraid to cancel going to start can you bring me another bin? He says don't worry about it. Throw the rest of the bags on top. So I did so I'm in the process of tying my 55 gallon drum to my trailer he comes out hands me $20 I said what is this for he said you can't I said 47 bags and a 55 gallon drum doesn't seem right he says it is with the scale says it is I see he said it's too late I've already taken it off the scale can I have a receipt he says we don't give receipts on cash deals At this point I got super pissed and I had to leave. I recommend you do not go to this place you will be ripped off if you do.
