HORRIBLE COMPANY!!! Don't EVER do business with them!!!! My wife was driving down the freeway, adjacent to their garbage truck. Their back end was open and debris was flying out all over I90 and cars were breaking and swerving all over to avoid getting hit by flying debris. My wife was in the fast lane to get in front of them and before she could, two pieces of debris struck my front wind shield and completely shattered it. My wife filed a police report and we notified Sunshine disposal and recycling, and they basically said "too bad, so sad" and that this falls under the category of a "road hazard" (whatever) and they are not responsible in any way. They also had the audacity to say the road debris could have come from anywhere, even though my wife saw it fly out of the back of their garbage truck. BAD BAD BAD COMPANY!!!!! read more

I'll be reporting you to crime check, the IRS, BBB, WA state Attorney General, and Consumer protection agency for illegally and without my consent, tacking on someone else's unpaid bill from a wholly different address and county then mine, to my bill just because they moved in with me for a few weeks. I suggest that anyone else that's being extorted or de-frauded by Sunshine Disposal to do the same. I pay my bills on time but I'm not legally obliged to pay someone else's bill when that bill is in their name and wasn't even generated at my address. we moved back to Spokane after five years, Called to get service set up, They told me, There was a bill not paid for two months of service at my grandparents house, This was Seven years ago, And after we sold the house we were not there after December, They said the service was for January and February of 2019, We were no longer there! was told it went to collections, I called them explained to them what I was Informed, end up paying the dam thing anyways because we need the fricken garbage service, It's not been almost two months and we still don't have service from them, I'm filing a small claims suit against them at this point, this company is a scam read more

Sunshine Disposal has been good most of the time. We had trouble changing bin sizes, but worked that out after a week or two, but then recently we had more trouble. Our trash did not get picked up for 3 weeks in a row this summer. I called every week. We asked for a refund for 2 weeks. Melissa in customer service was understanding. There seemed to be some mix-up on the number of our bin and its location, but they have a NO REFUND POLICY. When I finally reached the customer service manager, Marlena, she refused to issue a refund, disputing there was ever any confusion, that we had not put our bin out on those days (we had!), and that eventually all our garbage was picked up, so they had fulfilled their service. I believe there were other bins at our pick up site that were also not getting emptied. The bees were terrible. read more

I was forced many years ago to have Sunshine as my refuse pickup company. complaining about service is a joke because we have no alternate choice. prices and adjustments are constant and ridiculous. during summer when I travel I have no garbage to put ... I get no credit for that but boy when they miss your pickup and you put an extra bag out they will nail that charge on you even though it was caused by them read more

My family was part of the Oregon Rd fire in August 2023. When I tried reaching out to them the Monday following the fire, I was on hold for at least 20 minutes before I just hung up and said I would deal with them later. I tried again a few days later and again on hold. Finally got ahold of them and explained what was going on. Well I could write a possible novel on how they acted. I am just going to say, that they have no compassion for people who lost pretty much most of their stuff in a fire. All they said was we sent out a bill, well unfortunately our mail system or forwarding system is broken and bills don't seem to make it where they should. So best of luck to them and I will do what I can to not give them anymore business. read more

The staff has always been friendly and I believe they run an excellent business for our community. They have several recycling bins so not all items have to be discarded as "trash". They also provide an area for hazardous chemical waste free of charge. I appreciate these services as it helps our community be cleaner and have less impact on our environment. We have had garbage pickup service from them for years and they have always done a great job. Customer service reps are always polite and helpful. We have used their dumpsters several times in the last 5 or 6 years and I have been very impressed with their assistance, delivery and pickup. An outstanding company! read more

Dishonest company. My husband was driving on I-90 when an item flew out of the back of a Sunshine Disposal Recycling truck and shattered the windshield of our brand new car. He immediately called and reported the incident. The first person he spoke to was gracious, but he was then connected to a manager named Adrienne. She yelled at him and told him it was a hazard of the road and that the company would not pay for it. An item flying out of the back of a recycling truck - that was not a rock - is a hazard of the road? After he informed her that we would report this to WSP and the DOT as an unsecured load, she immediately changed her tune and asked us to get quotes for the replacement of the windshield. We submitted quotes, and based on the belief the windshield would be replaced, did not report the incident. Then we waited. And waited. We were then told that the company was obtaining their own quotes. Nearly one month has passed and the company has failed to call us back. Then, an insurance adjuster called, unbeknownst to us, denying "our" claim for lack of evidence. We never submitted a claim nor knew insurance was involved. We believed, with the request for quotes, that the windshield was to be replaced. My husband could not stop on I90 to photograph the item that hit him. He was driving 60 mph and the suggestion that he should have done so is irresponsible. Now we are left with a broken windshield, after we were induced not to file a police report. I am blown away by the dishonesty and lack of integrity of Sunshine Disposal. This company is a disappointment to our community through it's demonstrated willingness to endanger fellow drivers on our roadways and to damage our property without accountability. read more
