Ineffective Service, Exorbitant Charge for Nothing, and Management Ignores Customers…read more I regret calling Raptor Rooter & Plumbing LLC for a serious plumbing issue in mid-November 2025. Water was backing up from a basement floor drain in my South Hill Spokane home, creating a messy and urgent situation. Technician Brandon arrived and, after I described the recurring problem in detail, tested the drain by running water. He then briefly ran a cable snake only about 2 feet into the drain and stopped. He provided no diagnosis, no explanation for the backup, and admitted he didn't have a camera scope on hand--which likely would have revealed the root cause. After roughly 45 minutes, he left without resolving anything. I was shocked to be billed $462 for this unproductive visit. Hoping for some accountability, I left a message two days later for General Manager Chris, asking him to call me about Brandon's service. It's now January 7, 2026--nearly two months later--and Chris has never bothered to return my call, showing a complete lack of integrity or concern for customer satisfaction. Fortunately, I found a reputable plumbing company in the area. Their general manager and team were responsive, thorough, and fixed the problem permanently. Raptor Rooter's work was inadequate, their follow-through appalling, and their overall integrity horrendous. Save yourself the frustration and money--I STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU CHOOSE ANYONE ELSE for work beyond attaching a garden hose.

There seemed to be some mix-up on the number of our bin and its location, but they have a NO REFUND POLICY. When I finally reached the customer service manager, Marlena, she refused to issue a refund, disputing there was ever any confusion, that we had not put our bin out on those days (we had!), and that eventually all our garbage was picked up, so they had fulfilled their service. I believe there were other bins at our pick up site that were also not getting emptied. The bees were terrible.

Turns out that our fresh water holding tank developed a crack which was evident by the sinkhole near one of the sides. H&R Complete was recommended to us by a friend, so we gave them a call. Herb came out to survey the damage. He brought in another contractor to supply the new tank, who was also incredibly professional. The guy said it was clear, but right after he left it backed up immediately which was worse than before he started. The sink would at least drain. In addition, when he reassembled the drain pipes, he screwed one connector on crooked so it leaked! I called to ask if they would return without charge since he made it worse. They said no. The service manager was supposed to call me but did not. Definitely a second rate company. I went with Action Drain based on Yelp reviews. I definitely recommend them.

Later after have a professional come empty our septic we discovered a busted pipe from him. He bad mouthed other companies when we said we got other advise the whole time he was at our house. Our sewer has been backing up for a few years requiring at least annual preventative rooter clean…read moreouts. This is due to having the dreaded 'orangeburg' sewer pipe. We obtained several bids with Kalin coming in at the lowest. I have to say there was a $5k spread on the bids which was kind of surprising being they were all doing exactly the same thing. The crew showed up pretty close to the time we were told but it was just a crew of two instead of the normal 3 to 4. As a result things went slower than expected, making the one day project push into the next day. All the work was done as expected and the two guys that were here were pretty nice guys. One thing that could have been better was communication. A pre-made document stating what to expect, when the crew will arrive, payment info etc would help them tremendously. It would be nice if they had put a note up at the alley entrance notifying neighbors a couple days in advance that the alley would be blocked. We've noticed their biggest competitor does this when working in alleys in our neighborhood. We also didn't find out they were pushing to the following day until late in the afternoon. It was good my wife happened to be off the 2nd day, otherwise there would have been an issue getting them into the house. I had to ask when they would show up on day 2 and was told 9am. At 8am they were ringing the doorbell without a courtesy call to notify my wife they were going to be early. These would be easy fixes that would alleviate some customer frustration. Overall a decent experience that ultimately gave a us a new sewer line that will hopefully last longer than me.
