Unethical and fraudulent. This company tried to charge us hundreds of dollars for a 2nd trip because they couldn't find the septic tank. The problem is - they said their tech arrived onsite at 9am and looked for 3 HOURS before calling someone ONE TIME at NOON and then left the location. Calling into their office they actually doubled down that the tech they sent out was looking for it for a full 3 HOURS before calling someone to ask about where the location might be?! YEA RIGHT In the same sentence they admitted "he should've called someone earlier" but are still trying to charge us hundreds more since he had to go back. This is the kind of small, rural location company that takes advantage of people due to the lack of other options. Don't be surprised when they tack on additional fees and fuel surcharges because "it took more time" or "they couldn't find it" - this is bordering on fraud. Then to double down and argue with us on a blatant lie that someone was looking for 3 hours before calling someone... I have never worked with a more unprofessional company in my life. read more

I called little stinker and let them offer me some appointment options that worked for them. I chose a window of 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on a weekday. Keep in mind THEY offered me the appointment times, I had to work around their schedule. That's fine if they show up but guess what happened... Come the day of the appointment I got no show, and no call. I finally called them after 12 PM and got voicemail several times. A few minutes later their scheduling lady called back. I asked what was going on. She had no idea. I asked her why they didn't call me when they weren't going to make it ontime and she had no idea. Eventually she told me the driver was running late and would be there in 10 or 15 minutes. I told her I had taken this time off from work and she offered me a tiny $20 discount which doesn't cover my lost work. Then she got rude with me and told me the 2 hour window was only an "arrival window" and that the driver wasn't 2 hours late, only 15 minutes late and the window didn't cover time needed for the actual work. This was never mentioned to me when I booked the appointment. Idaho is a one party consent recording state so I recorded the phone call and I'll post a link to it so if you are curious you can hear what she said first-hand and see how messed up this company is for yourself. The driver showed up and didn't offer any apologies for being late. He backed up over my lawn with his huge truck despite me asking him to use a dirt/gravel road around the edge of the lawn to get closer to the septic lid. He told me he was just going to use a 60 foot hose instead but he still parked his giant truck on my lawn despite me asking him not to. At this point I just wanted this over with as I was late for work. 30 minutes later he finishes and tries giving me a bill for $780. I told him about the $20 discount the woman on the phone offered and he immediately lowered the price making me realize he wasn't going to give it to me unless I reminded him of his own company's policy. That is some shady stuff. Then he wrote my credit card number ON A PIECE OF PAPER. In 2024! You've got to be kidding me. I will be checking it for fraud over the next few weeks. I haven't seen a business do that since 2002 and I've lived in rural Idaho and Alaska for years. After he drove off I found FECES he left behind in a large puddle on my front lawn where where he disconnect his hose and let it run off on my yard! DISGUSTING! NOW I HAVE TO CLEAN IT UP. My family and my dogs use that lawn and it made me sick. See pictures. Every aspect of dealing with this company was bad. I will never use this company again and I will tell everyone I know to avoid them. I noticed the owner has a habit of responding to bad reviews by pretending the reviewers meant a different company somewhere else so I took pictures of their truck with their phone number and I also posted my receipt. I have been a repeat customer of Little Stinker for many years, twice at the prior house and twice at the current house. However, last time they pumped our septic tank they said it was leaking and charged $1500 to paint a little (less than a quart) of sealant in the tank. Can you believe it?? So this time when we needed the septic tank pumped, we went with a different, more reputable local company. This other company asked where the second septic tank access was, to get to the solids. I didn't know we had a second access. It turns out Little Stinker never pumped the solids part of the tank, and only pumped the liquids, and charged us full price. Twice!! The solids part had not been pumped in years, and Little Stinker was deceptive about it. Now years later, I learn how deceptive they were. read more

Some parts of the service provided by this company were good but there is one huge glaring issue that I have with them. I called them out because my septic tank was full and had started to back up into the house. Their solution was to cut the sewage pipe under the house and when they did that they allowed all the raw sewage to spill out onto the dirt under the house. Not only is this illegal and unacceptable but this is how disease is spread. Almost every other Septic Cleaning company I know of has a process for capturing raw sewage but not these guys. I have half a mind to call the health department because I have it on video. Not only that but the guys who took the panel off my trailer forgot to put it back on before they left. So I had to call them back to do it. But wouldn't you know they were so sloppy when they took it off that they just let the bolts hit the ground, and did not bother to collect them into some sort of bucket or container. So of course they didn't find all the bolts. And when I called back their parent company recently, Drains Plus (see my review of them), the guy who came out said he wasn't going to take the panel off the side of my trailer because of the issues I had the last time they were out here! Basically what he was saying is you created a problem for us and I'm not going to go through that again. Pretty much a big load of crap in my book, pardon the expression. So I found their "service" to be extremely unprofessional and even hazardous and would definitely not recommend them. read more

I have to say I am very impressed with these folks and their service tech Tim Pring!! I had an emergency at the house and they responded immediately! Tim was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and fixed our septic pump competently and in a timely fashion. After that, Tim walked me through improvements I could make if desired and things to consider when upgrading my system. These folks were a pleasure to go through during a stressful time. We Just had our septic tank pump , they did a great job on multiple properties we have. We had a drain problem originally that's where the problem started ,they damage our main sewer line with the snake. Now were having to go back and have it fixed, and be inconvenient without water for a day.I asked for a little bit of help and got nothing after they received $700 from us. If you want to use little sticker I would only use to pump the tank, not snake the drains because they don't have enough experience with clearing drains. We will now be going to a different company, It didn't have to go this way, Now they've lost a loyal customer with multiple properties, for this reason I will only give them 2 stars. I can't recommend this business enough!! Amazing job! Let me explain: I live out in the middle of the forest in a very remote part of North Idaho. It's not easy to access. Many businesses refuse to come out at all. You get the idea. Anyway Little Stinker not only came out, but Patrick (the man they sent) also helped me find my septic tank, dug it up, pumped it, and put the lid back on all while it was raining and cold! It wasn't easy to find the tank either, I had no idea where it was, other people would have walked away but Patrick stuck with it and helped me. We ended up finding it and got it all pumped, and it's a good thing too because it was full! Patrick was so helpful, professional, and courteous. Additionally I was given a break down of the details and cost of an entirely new system (tank, drain field, excavation etc.) all of which was totally unnecessary. Do not trust these people. They add costs for an "outside of area" fee after pumping. No warning before hand. They also make up how much sewage they pump. Quote from office person "We don't tell you what the meter read - you are supposed to trust us". Supposedly - basic fee for 1000 gallons, and then 31 cents a gallon thereafter. But how many gallons? You have to trust the driver...... DO NOT TRUST THEM. They do not care about repeat business or good reviews - they take the suckers (us) who will only use them once. We called out Little Stinker because we were having a problem with our septic backing up into our basement. We figured it would be a good idea to get a consultation from a professional as my husband is a carpenter and is not as skilled in septic and plumbing issues as he could be. I called the office and they said they would have someone out and it sounded like a rooter issue. When Tim arrived onsite my husband brought him down to our basement and showed him our pipe clean out and where the water was coming from. Tim recommended that we pump our septic to clear up the problem even though it had been pumped one year prior. He said that if there was a clog, when he pumped the septic it would clear. He pumped it and we paid right around $685 and went on our merry way until the following weekend when we started smelling septic again. We went down into our basement and found that the same problem was happening. I called Little Stinker and let them know that the issue hadn't been resolved and they offered to send someone out on Monday to take a look. When the guy arrived, my husband had already found the problem and repaired it. It turned out to be a crack in the main line right where the leak was happening. When their technician arrived on site, we showed him what the problem was and how we fixed and informed him so that he could bring the information back to the team in hopes that this would be a good lessons learned for their team. When the technician asked for $65.00 I was shocked and told him that the office would have to call me to discuss payment because we had already paid over $600 for a service that was unnecessary. When the office gal called to talk things out, we informed her of our experience with Tim and noted that we were disappointed as we thought we had hired a professional and trusted their professional opinion. We had called them out for a consultation and were disappointed that we had to resolve the issue ourselves on a weekend. She was adamant that the septic and the main line are two different subjects and she would not budge on the $65.00. By the end of the conversation she called me a RUDE BIT*H and hung up on me. If you are looking for a professional to give you advice about your septic tank. This is NOT the place to go. The office staff was rude and the technician they sent out did not bother to do discovery or make any other recommendations than the expensive option of pumping a tank that didn't necessarily need pumped. I had to deal with a good foot of waste water in my basement even after following their recommendations and I was treated like dirt by the office staff when I expressed my concerns.
