I had previously went to a place in Mineola for my Chinese food. When my favorite place closed, I stumbled upon this little restaurant in Williston Park. I have never been disappointed by Chen's Kitchen. The General Tso's chicken is delicious, as is the Hunan Beef. And the Young Chow fried rice is always good and a meal all by itself. Don't know why it took me this long to say something about the only Chinese food I order for not even kidding at least the past 10 years! So good we order in my house alone nearly three times a week plus all our friends order just as frequent! I can tell you I have eaten my way in and around the menu and have never ever had anything I didn't like! Pretty decent food. Got the fried chicken with fried rice. Believe me there are places that mess this up, but this spot did it pretty well. Fried chicken was crispy af and the fried rice had a lot of pork and vegetable, it tasted real good. Food also came out quick. Anyone who knows Chinese takeout , knows this food is awesome! If they are your usual millennials , they know nothing! In this area, there's an over kill of Chinese takeout for the obvious of reasons. Chen Kitchen listens to you when you order, speak great English and the food is outright fresh! Most of the other places, raise their prices without mentioning it, and then when you question them, they tell you, we have a new menu? Try exchanging a botched order with the rest of these clowns! Sorry but this place barely passes for average Chinese takeout. For starters, the fried rice is old and burned. Had to pick out the pork pieces as they were inedible. My coworker got the half fried chicken with French fries.. chicken was so salty it was almost inedible! Must have been refried three times before they served us! Plus it took forever to get our food in an empty restaurant. The Hunan chicken was good tho.. that doesn't make up for it though. Crossing this place off the list. read more

I am very skeptical about LI Chinese food...don't feel that they can compare to Queens or Brooklyn. We get tired of Chinese food spots quick at my job because they are expensive and the food is subpar. However, so far Chen has not disappointed..I'll keep you posted. read more

Been ordering take out from Chen Kitchen for over a decade. The owners have always been nice and very down to earth. I love their Egg Drop Soup and Wonton Soup. The spare ribs are great and also their shrimp eggrolls. The fried rice is not greasy like other restaurants, which is good. read more

One day i figure that the reviews for this place are really good, so i should try it ...mistake. Its you're typical "grass is always greener" scenario. We've been ordering from this place since we moved nearby. Always a positive experience except for ONE TIME. It took over an hour and a half for the order to arrive. We couldn't even go pick it up because it had already left for delivery -___- They were nice enough to give us a discount for the delay which was nice of them. We usually order everything steamed with brown rice and sauces on the side. All of which are very good. The regular stuff is really tasty too. The only thing I don't like from there are the dumplings. They're all dough and no meat. Do not order. Other than that, everything else is pretty good. We were looking for a new Chinese food restaurant, so the fried rice was tasty with lots of roast port, the lo mein was good, also with lots of chicken. The shrimp egg foo young was ok not great. I like that the sauce was on the side! The egg roll was a little greasy, but tasty. So a good meal not sure if I will keep looking. read more

There are a ton of Chinese restaurants in the area and we have tried them all. With that said, we order from Chen's every week. Consistently the best food, the people are friendly and delivery is prompt. There are probably 5 or 6 Chinese restaurants between us and them, but we order from them every time. read more
