This place provides a full mouth party. Make sure you make your way through the menu and try all the kabobs and sides. As nothing should be missed. Every dish has its own medley of flavors. It's. Great if you just need a snack or if your a little hungrier, you can build your plate up or down. Not only is the food great the service is wonderful! Very attentive. We will be back and can't wait to share with friends. read more

This place is great! Really great Persian food, nice, clean, and well-lit space, and very friendly staff and service. My go- to has always been the chello yek combo with the koobideh. My sides change depending on my mood and the weather but all have been great. The hummus is really worth diving into and the shallot and yogurt dip is a favorite! I've also had their chicken kabob as part of a catered order and that was moist and deliciously spiced as well! Their baklava are among the best in the city and better than some I've had in Orange County! I work down the road and will be sorry to move away next month! They do deliver but I'll probably just drive over! Price is about right for the freshness and quality of the food you get and they have a rewards program that gets you some money off after you spend a certain amount. If you're looking for something off the beaten New Mexican track, get yourself over here. Parking is easy, even during the lunch rush and it is right off the freeway! read more

This place is so awesome. It took me a minute to figure out how to order, but I've got it down now. The chicken kebobs are super delicious. I don't know what they marinade them in, but dang! The hummus and naan bread is also really good. I look forward to going back and trying more of their food. read more

Very good. Definitely worth a try. It's good to see a Greek restaurant so close to Coronado Mall. I've only had the Gyro sandwich, but the place smells amazing inside and I really need to try some of the other selections. Also, the owner and the wait staff are super friendly and helpful. read more

Absolutely love this place. It's not necessarily fancy or real spicy like other Iranian food, but it's just quality all around. The chicken is never too strong and/or rancid-tasting like a lot of kabob-style places can make it, it's sweet and light on the tongue. Make sure you get the Samak spice to sprinkle on the food. And when I say sprinkle, I mean sprinkle liberally. It's delicious! read more

Good food, good prices and nice atmosphere. I like to get the number two with chicken and koobideh. This dish comes with two sides and a fresh naan. Go support local business and have some yummy food while you're at it! I'm going to try the gyros next time! read more

Hidden GEM ! AUTHENTIC, fresh, delicious - this is the REAL DEAL ! We stumbled across it by chance and we really loved the food, exquisite plating and modern atmosphere ! Served cafeteria style which we liked so we could point at the food since we could not understand the Mediterranean words on the menu. Loved the music too - made me want to get up and belly dance (but I didnt)! read more

Chello Grill - Mediterranean Near Me - Albuquerque, New Mexico

Best Mediterranean I have had in the southwest!!! I drive to Albuquerque just to eat here (oh, and see family ). They will let you sample the stews and they are all delicious. Truly love this place read more

When I think of Mediterranean food I think vibrant, flavorful and exciting. Unfortunately, I did not get a single one of those tonight... I was really looking for something new tonight and Chello Grill pulled up on "Hot New Businesses" so I thought what the heck. The restaurant is clean and looks really fresh and new, I was almost excited until I realized that the prices were kind of high and the options were just not that great. I ordered two kabobs (chicken and steak) and both my wifes and my chicken had some raw pieces and my steak was WELL past well-done. If there was a category after well done that is how the steak was cooked. Maybe they should switch how the meats were cooked and they'd be decent..The meat did have decent flavor but I could only eat a few pieces of the chicken as the rest was too undercooked. They claimed to have fresh baked naan, however, what I saw and what I received was not fresh baked naan. I watched as they warmed my "fresh baked naan" in a broiler. The naan came out incredibly dry and overcooked (story of my night) and ultimately flavorless, not to mention the naan is cold by the time you get your meat. Lastly, the rice. I really wanted it to have some sort of flavor, I mean, it's Saffron Rice which should smell and taste wonderful. But alas, the rice was crunchy and flavorless. Seems like they don't really understand how to cook much of anything here. On a high note, the service was great and friendly as I obviously didn't know how to pronounce some of the food nor did I know what some of it was and needed some stuff explained to me, so they were very helpful when it came to my ignorance. Bottom line - Although this is a hot new business, they are not firing on all cylinders. If they could cook their food appropriately I would definitely give it another try as the concept is great and an exciting new type of restaurant here in town. read more

I love this place! Most affordable persian food I've come across ever, and the taste doesn't suffer for the price! I got here at least once a week. It's run by a Persian family, and the mother oversees all the cooking, so it's up to authentic standards. The servers are also always really friendly. There's a lot of variety in the food too, including free cucumber water. 10/10, would recommend. read more

I had high hopes for this place....until I tried it. I rarely write truly bad reviews on yelp, those have to be earned from me. I ordered the kabobs for 5 people. The online menu is not very clear when ordering and I thought it came with a yogurt sauce. The restaurant called me to clarify and no yogurt for me. The 40oz of water I had to drink while eating the extremely dry food makes me think they should rethink not including the yogurt. It was also supposed to come with grilled vegetables, but those did not arrive. My over cooked gosh-e fil and extremely dry stuffed dates did arrive. The only positive thing that I can say about this experience is that the delivery driver was nice and the "food" arrived in a timely manner. read more

Our office has recently had them cater lunch for us. Everyone enjoys the food and service.

Was excited about a new Mediterranean restaurant. Very disappointed. It reminds me of Chipolte's (not a fan) for kebobs. The lamb was dry, the rice was dry and the naan had a mint after taste . . . and was dry. Will not be back and will not recommend. read more

Environment is clean and well lit. Staff was kind and helpful. Food was bland & lamb and naan had strong propane flavor. Very disappointed in the food quality. read more

What a nice healthy meal. Had the beef kabob with grilled veggies and saffron rice and a side of cucumber, tomato and mint salad. It was delicious. If you need help with the menu the owner will help explain it to you. There is also a very nice selection of different ice teas and desserts. I was very pleased and can't wait to go back. If you want fresh delicious healthy food ,this is the place. read more

Oh my God I'm so excited about this place! Albuquerque was in DESPERATE need of a legit Kebob place that tasted like authentic middle eastern food and this place NAILED it. I'm Armenian born and raised in Los Angeles, so I crave good middle eastern food at least once a month in Albuquerque, especially when I don't get to fly home to LA for a while. They even had stews that my grandparents and parents would make that tasted so close to their recipes that I had a little bit of a nostalgic flashback to being home. The service was excellent, prices were ridiculously reasonable, and the food was spot on. This is easily on the top of my list of go-to restaurants in the area for sure. read more

This is definitely my new favorite restaurant. Delicious, healthy food and great service. Also really affordable!

Great Mediterranean food for the price. Good proportions although I would suggest asking for the half of the rice serving unless if you like eating a lot of rice. read more

The meals we had were generous and tasty. I found the online ordering a tad confusing. The naan is crispy rather than more bread-like and thus harder to eat with the meal. read more

I found a new great restaurant. I had one of the stews. And a mint tea. I wish I was hungry enough for their platters. They also looked good. read more

Excellent service! Stopped in for take out and was welcomed with fast friendly service and Yummy fresh food! You can't beat that. Planning and bringing the family back to try all the dessert options. read more

You must eat here!!! Great food, polite hospitality, amazing bargain for high quality food! Albuquerque needs this place. Glad they are here. I had the no.2 combo with chicken and beef. And the salad with masthakyar and shirazi. Meats were seasoned well, balanced, and cooked perfectly. The salads were crisp, fresh and refreshing. Chello Grill is so good that i had to say something! read more

YUMMY Greek and Middle Eastern Food! Walk up and customize your order just the way you like! Great to go or to eat in

Real Iranian food. Great service! A little bit pricy but worse the quality and quantity.

I had given up on decent Persian food in ABQ and was surprised when a recent search for food around me yielded Chello Grill. I think that calling it a Mediterranean establishment is a misnomer as Iran is not on a Mediterranean coast, but admit there are similarities. I grew up in LA and have eaten more than my fair share of Persian food so I can say without hesitation that this is a great place to eat. The staff were friendly and the owner gave me a sample of the daily stew while I waited for my food. The celery stew tasted just like my family makes. Very authentic! I loved the kabob and it exceeded my expectations. Be sure to sprinkle some sumac on the kabob--it enhances the flavor. I'm going to attribute the poor reviews to the aches and pains of a new restaurant working the kinks out. Eat here! Support great ethnic cuisine and small business in ABQ and get a healthy meal with fresh ingredients and flavors that depart from the monotony of tortillas, rice, beans and green chile. read more

Visited for our first while we were road tripping out to California. Everything was awesome! They have kebab meals which come with a veggie kebab, rice, and 1-2 sides depending on the meal (I really liked the mast o khiar, which was like a tzatziki sauce) it went really well with the steak kebab. You also get a huge piece of naan. Portions were very generous and everything was extremely fresh. If I lived in town I would be a regular. Will definitely stop by again on our way back. read more

I was looking for a healthier place to eat and stumbled upon this place. I walked in and was immediately greeted and explained the menu. The woman that helped me was extremely helpful and answered any questions that I had about how everything worked and what the food choices were. My food was served quickly and tasted great. The vegetable kabob had a lot flavor for just being vegetables and the rice tasted amazing. I also got the Stone Fruit Shaken Iced Tea and it was very delightful and was most likely the best tea drink I've ever had. The prices are average at about $13 including a drink for one person. Overall, I will continue to come here and I advise anyone who is looking for a new place to eat to come here. read more

M and F Auto Sales had take out, it was delicious! Nice to have good mediterranean fast food instead of the same old fast food restaurants. Thanks Chello Grill! read more

The Yiro was tasteless, and it was presented on a long flat piece of pita (I guess that's what you'd call it)...but I ended up wrestling with long pita...kind of like snake wrestling... anyway it was very unsatisfying because it lacked any real flavor. The half salad was no different than you could get at Pizza Hut..this restaurant features NO middle eastern workers...and I think that's the problem...it it's basically an Americanized version of Mediterranean food. Doubtful I'd return. read more

Great food, great service!! We couldn't decide what to eat BUT they offered all 3 of us a sample. Then while waiting for our food they brought out little potato cakes which were fantastic! Service was friendly but not overwhelming. I'm sad we haven't tried this place sooner! read more

I can't comprehend a Greek restaurant that does not spice or flavor their lamb or meat. Very blah and disappointing. I mean if you are going to open a Greek restaurant, get it right! read more

I'll have to say, meh. It felt slightly overpriced but the food was decent. They messed up one of our orders, giving us rice instead of greens, though my friend opted not to bother telling them. It's a good size serving. Th chicken was moist the beef was good but we both felt like our plates could have used more seasoning. I would go back if prompted but it's not somewhere I'd rush to. read more

This place so great. Super impressed. Hostess is super friendly. Great Persian and Mediterranean flavors. A selection of fruit infused teas and drinks. Kids menu. Nice interior decor. A very friendly staff. read more

All the food was really good! Great customer service as well. I had the sheesh kabob and this eggplant dip that was amazing!

My favorite Persian restaurant in town. Food is great. Service is amazing! Stews are my favorites.

Fantastic flavors, great portions, lovely emplyees. Prices are very fair. Huumus was delicious.

Sorry Pars Cuisine, but I no longer have to drive all the way up to you-especially because you are a special night out place. What I love about this place is that, essentially, it is take out. Even dining in. No staff to engage or tip or deal with. It is right near where I live. They make take out so easy. Staff is engaged and the food is always on per expectations. I like that their hummus is "thick". I love how everything else is prepared. Yes, it is assembly line. But, it is done right. Who would be complaining? This is the best restaurant to be engaged in my neighborhood within a 5 mile radius by far in the last year or two. Everything is fresh and almost perfectly cooked. Well done. read more

I bought 4 chicken kebab and they were so good. And 12 beef koobidehs that we had to throw away. The meat was old and the koobideh was so soggy and uncooked. read more

We had a party of 4. All told, we got koobideh, barg, and chicken kabobs. My favorite was koobideh. It was a good as I've had @ some of the best Persian restaurants. Chicken was dry, but flavorful. Barg was less tasty than koobideh. My favorite side was yogurt with cucumber. read more

Love that we can get a healthy meal here! They even had music on Wednesday night. Very special. The only problem is the lights are so bright like a fast food restaurant. Hint to the owner: put your lights on dimmers. People will stay longer and eat more! It's a proven Interior a design concept! read more
