Great flavors and a generous portion. The service was incredibly fast for a delivery order. I got my order in about a half an hour and everything was correct and packaged well. Needed to find a place last minute for take out on my way home and this fit the bill and Indian sounded good. So pleasantly surprised with how good everything was. Ordered a chicken Tikka kebab, delicious! Wrapped in a naan and had great flavor! Love that it came with fries with curry sauce on it! Also ordered the Saag Aloo (that came with rice). Good sized portion and tasty, but I should have asked for it to be spicy! I was missing that kick. Overall: Kabab & Curry does the job, but it isn't our favorite place for Indian food. Food: 3 We ordered several dishes including butter chicken, lamb korma, lacha paratha, and naan. The curries were just ok. We were disappointed with the lacha paratha which was very flat and dry instead of flakey. We went to Kabab & Curry for Sunday lunch, and it was very good. The buffet lunch offers many favorites like saag paneer, chicken tikka masala, chicken vindaloo, goat curry, samosas, tandoori chicken, naan etc. The restaurant is bright and clean, and the service was friendly and prompt. The four of us sampled a variety from the buffet, and everyone was pleased with their choices. The buffet also offers fresh fruit and salad along with a few dessert items like rice pudding and mango custard. The only reason I rated four stars vs five is a personal one. I like really spicy food, and this was flavorful but not really spicy. I'll have to return and order a specific dish where I can request the spice level before I can comment. We went to this new Indian restaurant with friends who suggested that we all give it a try.  I like Indian food, but I don't actually have a favorite restaurant in Albuquerque with this cuisine.  After eating at Kabab & Curry, it is definitely in the running for our favorite spot.  I ordered the Chicken Tikka dinner from the Chef Special category which included  Biryani rice, Riata, and Garlic Naan for just a little more money than Chicken Tikka from the a la carte menu. There was enough naan to share, which was nice. Everything was delicious. The table also ordered the Dal Saag which we also loved.  One member of my family ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and he totally enjoyed it.   The restaurant was simple and clean.  The staff was welcoming, friendly, and helpful.  We look forward to our next visit. read more

Came to check out this recently open spot for their lunch buffet. For a smaller spot, they have a really good selection on their buffet. I enjoyed everything I tried, especially the butter chicken and garlic naan. My one comment is they didn't seem to want us to hang out very long. Maybe I am misreading things but once we finished with the buffet and were just enjoying our chai, it seemed like they kept coming up over and over in a way that kind of pressured us to leave. There are a ton of empty tables and we really just trying to chat and didn't need additional service. I will know that the parking lot is a little complicated to get into if you were coming northbound on Wyoming. You will be required to make a U-turn basically. read more

The wait staff were slow and did not clearly understand our English. Additionally, they tended to the orders that were "called in" versus the people sitting at their tables. The owner was inflexible regarding allowing us to order full meals yet asking for a small child plate added to our order to satisfy the need to try their food. The wait staff left our food waiting on the shelf getting cold as they hustled to get the take out orders done. The wait staff had to be asked numerous times for things such as peas to add to our "rice and peas" as noted in their menu (culturally the rice always has peas ) The wait staff stated that we were NOT charged for the peas ...and I had to show the staff their own menu. I tried takeout from this new place after seeing great reviews about it, and it lived up to them! I got vegetable samosas, saag cholay, and garlic naan. All were very good! The samosas could have had some more spicing in the filling, but they were still very satisfying with their very flaky, super fresh exterior. Perfect texture. The garlic naan also tasted very freshly made and was so satisfying. Best of all, the saag cholay was so, so good- a perfect combination of flavors that gave me that YUM reaction on every bite. I also love that there's a saag (spinach) option that isn't just paneer. Their menu has a separate vegan section and vegetarian section. That is so helpful for those of us wanting to see easily what we can order, and for vegans to see which things do or do not have dairy. Thank you for so many options under each as well. It was hard to decide what to get, as many sound enticing. I can't wait to try other things here! I'd also love to check out the lunch buffet sometime. Fantastic family owned restaurant with hospitable service. The food was very rich and flavorful. Don't let the prices intimidate you. We had plenty leftover for another meal. The ambience isn't much to write home about - just enough to not get in the way of the delicious food. The hubby and I were headed to find a quick meal (to-go) this evening. I was pleased to see that Kabaab and Curry finally opened up. We flipped around when we noticed the open sign in the window. Boy, am I glad we did! He's never had Indian cuisine, so I figured why not tonight. I ordered the chicken Tikka masala and he ordered the tandoori chicken wrap. Both were outstanding and super flavorful! Please note the photos are from my home, so the plating is not as beautiful as I saw them present it there. I also want to mention how gorgeous the interior of the restaurant was. It's very bright and colorful with flower murals on a few walls. The staff were extremely inviting and friendly. Excellent food and service. My chicken kabob (reishi?) was juicy and delicious and although I rarely eat nearly raw onions, they really enhanced this dish. Plus there was a good bit--enough to easily stretch over 2 meals (and the chicken reheated well and stayed juicy). Vegetarian spouse got the Mushroom Mattar Makhani, one of his faves, and said it was great just as it was prepared. (Not too hot, not bland at all, veggies fresh.) The samosas were also very good and the chutneys were fresh and delicious. I got an order of Kashmiri naan, and although too full to enjoy that night, it reheated well for breakfast the next morning. My friends and I were excited to dine at Kabab & Curry and they definitely lived up to our expectations! We had a party of six and every one of us ordered a different dish. I had the shrimp tikka masala and vegetable samosas. Delicious! One friend had chicken vindaloo and loved it, saying the heat level was perfect. The service was attentive but unobtrusive. We live nearby Kebab and Curry and decided to try it for lunch. We were so happy to have a neighborhood restaurant that served such delicious food. We had the buffet and everything was more yummy than I expected. I'm by no means a connoisseur of Indian food but I'm familiar with all the names of dishes. The butter chicken was just like it sounds...buttery, creamy and delicious! It's family owned and we got to meet the family. They were all so warm and kind. Service was great! The mango malwa (ice cream) was the fantastic end to a wonderful lunch! We got to the restaurant about 45 minutes before they close and everything was still fresh and the pans were full not picked over. We'll be going back to take our whole family! read more

I have not been happy with Indian food in NM until now. The tandoori chicken was quite tasty and came with 3 legs and 3 thighs ( normal sized, not huge costco size, but more than enough for me) plus two yummy sauces, a juicy lemon slice and sliced onion. I only give 4 stars because the uber eats menu says it comes with vegetable biryani and naan. I received cumin scented rice only. That was sad. Bonus, it came with free rice pudding but it was very milky, not creamy. I'll eat there next time. read more

This is a new Indian restaurant we discovered this month. We keep coming back because the food is so well prepared. The chicken is very tender, the spices are just right, and the naan is to die for. The helpings are very big, so we always take home. Excellent service, very friendly. The place is where our favorite family owned New Mexican restaurant was before it went belly up from the Pandemic.
