Needed to find a place last minute for take out on my way home and this fit the bill and Indian sounded good. So pleasantly surprised with how good everything was. Ordered a chicken Tikka kebab, delicious! Wrapped in a naan and had great flavor! Love that it came with fries with curry sauce on it! Also ordered the Saag Aloo (that came with rice). Good sized portion and tasty, but I should have asked for it to be spicy! I was missing that kick. My order was ready a little after it said it would be so they comped some mango custard, love me a free dessert. Cute restaurant, would love to come back for their buffet!

Jai Ho! Come, come to the canopy of life.. Come to the brocaded blue sky Jai Ho! We settled into "Kabab Curry" for a late lunch.. We opted to order off the menu vs Buffet (it looked quite good, but we're in the mood for a new adventure..:) We shared a "Mushroom Saag" it was magically so delish with fresh cooked spinach w. spices and scrumptious mushrooms &.. "Lamb Korma" w. melt in your mouth lamb and wildly delish korma sauce. We had basmati rice/peas to compliment this fine dining lunch. This restaurant is relaxing w. superb cuisine. We treated ourselves to "Kashmiri Naan" w. cashews, cherries, raisins and pistachios for dessert...Washed down w. Glasses of Pinot Grigio Wine. A surprise gift from the Lunch Gods..:) Now with me, you dance for today.. For our day of moves, whatever problems may be.. Cheers! Dance! Dance! Jai Ho! "?" We went to Kabab & Curry for Sunday lunch, and it was very good. The buffet lunch offers many favorites like saag paneer, chicken tikka masala, chicken vindaloo, goat curry, samosas, tandoori chicken, naan etc. The restaurant is bright and clean, and the service was friendly and prompt. The four of us sampled a variety from the buffet, and everyone was pleased with their choices. The buffet also offers fresh fruit and salad along with a few dessert items like rice pudding and mango custard. The only reason I rated four stars vs five is a personal one. I like really spicy food, and this was flavorful but not really spicy. I'll have to return and order a specific dish where I can request the spice level before I can comment. Everyone else was happy with the spice level. We'll definitely return.

    Chicken Tikka Masala...enjoyed it.

We went to this new Indian restaurant with friends who suggested that we all give it a try.  I like Indian food, but I don't actually have a favorite restaurant in Albuquerque with this cuisine.  After eating at Kabab & Curry, it is definitely in the running for our favorite spot.  I ordered the Chicken Tikka dinner from the Chef Special category which included  Biryani rice, Riata, and Garlic Naan for just a little more money than Chicken Tikka from the a la carte menu. There was enough naan to share, which was nice. Everything was delicious. The table also ordered the Dal Saag which we also loved.  One member of my family ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and he totally enjoyed it.   The restaurant was simple and clean.  The staff was welcoming, friendly, and helpful.  We look forward to our next visit.

Kabob and Curry is my go-to spot! The family who runs it is super nice and friendly, which makes the experience even better. I had the goat curry (made it spicy, of course), and it was absolutely amazing. Also ordered naan and butter chicken--both were top-notch. Honestly, I can't stay away from this place!

Came to check out this recently open spot for their lunch buffet. For a smaller spot, they have a really good selection on their buffet. I enjoyed everything I tried, especially the butter chicken and garlic naan. My one comment is they didn't seem to want us to hang out very long. Maybe I am misreading things but once we finished with the buffet and were just enjoying our chai, it seemed like they kept coming up over and over in a way that kind of pressured us to leave. There are a ton of empty tables and we really just trying to chat and didn't need additional service. I will know that the parking lot is a little complicated to get into if you were coming northbound on Wyoming. You will be required to make a U-turn basically.

Just opened on Wyoming! Kebab and Curry had a dual selection buffet set up. Delicious Indian food on one side, fresh fruit, salad and dessert on the other! Most Indian restaurants in Abq have started to all taste the same with the flavors, this place has richer- style dishes. It was phenomenal! And the garlic naan was heaven. I went back too many times for more... The owners were all so nice and friendly as well! Got to meet the whole family. I definitely enjoyed how light and airy the vibe was as well. Good luck with parking once everyone eats here! You'll be addicted too~!

The big flaky vegetable samosas with mint and tamarind chutneys

I tried takeout from this new place after seeing great reviews about it, and it lived up to them! I got vegetable samosas, saag cholay, and garlic naan. All were very good! The samosas could have had some more spicing in the filling, but they were still very satisfying with their very flaky, super fresh exterior. Perfect texture. The garlic naan also tasted very freshly made and was so satisfying. Best of all, the saag cholay was so, so good- a perfect combination of flavors that gave me that YUM reaction on every bite. I also love that there's a saag (spinach) option that isn't just paneer. Their menu has a separate vegan section and vegetarian section. That is so helpful for those of us wanting to see easily what we can order, and for vegans to see which things do or do not have dairy. Thank you for so many options under each as well. It was hard to decide what to get, as many sound enticing. I can't wait to try other things here! I'd also love to check out the lunch buffet sometime. If only there was a dinner buffet also!

Fantastic family owned restaurant with hospitable service. The food was very rich and flavorful. Don't let the prices intimidate you. We had plenty leftover for another meal. The ambience isn't much to write home about - just enough to not get in the way of the delicious food. This isn't the black tie fancy date place, rather the unbuckle your belt and chow down on delicious food kind of place. Overall highly recommended for great Indian food.

The food was AMAZING! Came with a few friends that have been raving about this place and it did not disappoint :) Food portions are huge and we had enough left over for 2 more meals after! You honestly can't go wrong with anything on the menu so try something new when you check this place out! Overall 4.5/5!

The hubby and I were headed to find a quick meal (to-go) this evening. I was pleased to see that Kabaab and Curry finally opened up. We flipped around when we noticed the open sign in the window. Boy, am I glad we did! He's never had Indian cuisine, so I figured why not tonight. I ordered the chicken Tikka masala and he ordered the tandoori chicken wrap. Both were outstanding and super flavorful! Please note the photos are from my home, so the plating is not as beautiful as I saw them present it there. I also want to mention how gorgeous the interior of the restaurant was. It's very bright and colorful with flower murals on a few walls. The staff were extremely inviting and friendly. They offer their lunch buffet from 11 am to 2:30 pm. They're closed on Mondays. I'll definitely be back and hope you all give them a try as well!

Pictures, jewelry, fans, a floor sitting space, and a relatable quote were very inviting. The servers were absolutely nice and gregarious. When the hubs was getting full, our server encouraged him with a "you got this" and that was a very nice touch. For our food, we ordered the meat sambosas to start. A big empanada full with meat and some vegetables accompanied by a chutney sauce that had very nice acidity, similar to a chimichurri. This starter was absolutely tasty and perfect to get us excited for the entrees. For our entrees, we ordered the chicken and lamb tikka kebabs and the afghan saffron tea. The lamb was on the charred side but the spices gave it a fantastic flavor. The chicken was not dry and the acidity of the spices made the chicken an excellent choice. Both came with rice that tasted sweet thanks to the afghan raisins and carrot. It was a very different but nice flavor. The piece of naan was thick and soft. The tea was colorful and the tiniest bit of bitterness. Overall, this was a great experience at a very nice place, with friendly servers, and great food. If our first experience is indicative of our future experiences, 5 stars is what this place reflects.

We arrived a few minutes after noon on a Saturday and were promptly seated. Our waitress took drink orders and returned to answer our questions and take our orders. We had a lamb gyro, lamb kebab and my daughter ordered a plate with a sweet rice, falafel, hummus and a Mediterranean salad. Everyone was more than pleased with the flavors of their dish. We shared tastes around. I found the rice interesting, but prefer more savory when accompaniment to an entree. The marinated lamb for the kebab was outstanding and the meat cooked perfectly. I even tried the hummus which to my surprise was very good. I do not as a rule enjoy chick peas, but this mix was delightful. The restaurant itself carried the desired theme, even offering traditional low seating for those who wish that feeling. Solid five stars. I'd give extra to the wait staff for how they dealt with the chronic complainer at the next table, if Yelp would allow that extra. If you have been reading my other reviews on yelp or Google you know my philosophy is that…read moresometimes you go to a restaurant and the food isn't that great or maybe it's awful. It a situation like that, barring getting ill or having the meal be too expensive, I always say, give it another try. Cooks and Chefs have bad days/nights just like all of us. So if you can, try giving the place a second chance. However, if the wait staff is bad. They ignore you, they're rude, or if they are mean there's really no reason to go back. Those people represent the customer facing side of business and if they don't care, what does that say about the rest of the place? I can already hear some of you saying hey, they have bad days too. You're right but in sales (I've been there) you have to work it out one way or another. It can suck but whether you feel it or not you are an extremely important cog in that machine. Well, let me tell you at Royal Hyderabad on Juan Tabo, every single time I go there they care about the food and experience. They are fantastic start to end. The last time I went I got there very early to pick up my food. They offered me a seat, brought me tea, and the woman at the front struck up a conversation with me. It was friendly, nice, and in my experience of the wonderful culture. About 15 minutes later my food was ready. The woman handed me the bag. She looked at her watch, then the bag. I took the bag thanked her and wished her a good evening. I walked out the door smiling to the other customers. I was outside when it hit me that I was WAY too early pick up my food and there were several other people in line. How could they finish my food so quickly? I stopped turned around, and the woman came running outside and asked me if I could just come with her inside and wait. She noticed my name remembered who I was on. The phone asked me if I was told my food was going to take a while and she said she wanted to check my bag just to be on the safe side. She didn't think the kitchen was running that fast. Well, she was right. I had a different order and the people in the back had just made a mistake. It was just a simple miscommunication, but instead of letting me leave, she came all the way outside as I was walking to the parking lot she stopped me, asked me to come back in and helped me. She then immediately went to the back, explained what it happened and one of the chef said he would make it right and he did he had my food out in just a couple of minutes. Was recognized the person there cared enough to come get me they thanked me. They admitted to a simple mistake. They fixed the problem. Everybody was smiling at the end, and all the other customers got to see it and quite frankly, they looked impressed because they all probably know how many times they've walked out of a restaurant with an incomplete or incorrect order and nobody cared. As I have likely said before, try Royal Hyderabad on Juan Tabo. Remember that if you can't handle hot food and I mean well beyond New Mexico hot food try medium or mild. The food is delicious and I've never ever not enjoyed anything that I've tried. And the people who work there seem to really care about their clientele and treat them so nice.

The tandoori chicken especially had an amazing smoky flavor and looked awesome coming out still sizzling at the table. Albuquerque definitely needed a spot like this, and I can see why so many people recommend it for Indian food in town. A couple small things I think could make the experience even better: the drink selection was pretty limited since they only offered Coke, water, and juice. It would be nice to see more variety. Also, they had music playing in the restaurant, but it was so low you could barely hear it, so the atmosphere could feel a little more lively with the volume turned up. If that changed I'd give them a five star. Overall though, the food and service were both great and I'd definitely come back!
