I've always wanted to go to Peter Lugers in NYC but never had the chance. As luck would have it,…read morethere's now one in Las Vegas and I happen to be there for a convention. With so many highly rated steak houses, I was debating on which to go to but ended up going to Peter Lugers as it was also close to the hotel I stayed at. I got there pretty late but there was still seating at the bar available. The service was very good and the food luckily lived up to the hype. I got the thick cut bacon and steak for one. Both were excellent and paired well with their house made steak sauce. The steak itself was full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and very tender. They also gave me and my buddies some complimentary chocolate coins. From the service to the food, this place delivers and I'm glad I finally got to try it out. Would highly recommend Peter Lugers in Las Vegas if you're in the area.

The service was phenomenal, and the staff was extremely knowledgeable from start to finish. Of course, I had to try the famous bacon, and let me tell you... it really is some of the best bacon you'll ever have. Don't forget to dip it in the house BBQ sauce! I'm still dreaming about that bacon. The Caesar salad was a bit mid and slightly dry for my liking. The Maine lobster tail, however, was cooked perfectly and tasted incredibly fresh. I wasn't a huge fan of the creamed spinach or the fried potatoes, even though the portions were very generous. Personally, I would've preferred a loaded baked potato instead. The steak itself was cooked beautifully and packed with flavor, though I felt the presentation could've been a little better. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely return to try more items on the menu.

Most importantly the steak was perfect. We had the NY strip and the Filet, which we have had all over the great USA and Echo & Rig is easily in the top 3 may even be #1.

Appts were okay....butternut squash was VERY dry. Not like the last time I had it. I tried to ask for extra maple to moisten it but it did not help at all. Didn't even eat it. The cauliflower was good. Nice mix of sweet and spicy. Fried spinach salad is one of my faves! Melts in your mouth and I'm not even a big salad person. And then we tried the shrimp and artichokes. When it came out it was not what we expected. But it ended up being delicious!! Restaurant is classy. Cute outdoor section on the second floor. Floors are always slippery though. Careful in heels! ** only other complaint on the butternut squash is no one asked if everything was okay since the whole dish sat there. I literally ate one piece. We also spoke to a manager about the great service, which I did mention how dry the butternut squash was during the conversation. Apparently offering a different dish or removing the dish and taking it off the check isn't a thing anymore if food isn't up to standards. Or even firing up a new one. A little disappointed about that, but it is what it is.

We had a birthday dinner for three buddies who all have birthdays close together at Smith &…read moreWollensky and it was a terrific experience. The Las Vegas Smith & Wollensky is located in the Venetian Grand Canal Shoppes and is a great looking facility - definitely a classic steakhouse vibe but in a contemporary setting. We had two appetizers, the Angry Shrimp and Confit Bacon and they were excellent. The star of the evening, though, was the Swinging Tomahawk Rib Eye which qualifies as dinner and a show. The service was everything you could want from an elite steakhouse, especially the presentation on the Swinging Tomahawk. The Waygu Tomahawk is a magnificent steak which I think is a steak lover's must-have experience, with the caveat being that it's huge. It was soooo good. Last came a chocolate cake with freshly whipped cream which was delicious! Love this place!!!

The puree that came with the wagyu filet mignon was amazing. The bread was meh. I wouldn't order that again if I came back. The steak tartare had a bitter/vinegary taste to it. It was my first time having tartare so I'm not sure if that's normal or not. It also came with bone marrow which really elevated the dish. Our server Todd was very friendly and attentive. Perfect service from him. Downstairs has more of a casual vibe. Upstairs is slightly more intimate and you can have a view of the canal.

It is a Wed night at 8:30pm and it had several tables full but we were still able to be seated right away. The place is hard to find so heads up! Look up pictures of the outside so you don't walk past it! It's a beautiful, cozy spot with an upscale feel and vibe. The playlist is amazing! Whomever curated this has incredible & varied music taste and it all works together! 90's R&B, Alternative, Grunge Rock, all of it so good! The menu has sections that you choose 2-4 items from and share with your table. We tried the Mushroom flatbread, the Pot Roast sandwich, the Beet Salad and the Grilled Oysters. The Grilled Oysters were not a favorite. However, I think that's just personal preference because of the style they are prepared in. We prefer our grilled oysters to be very charred and more of a buttery flavor. These are prepared in an Asian style and and more of a soft grill than a char. Our server very graciously had a second plate served up with more of a grill to the oyster which we appreciated. The rest of the dishes were delicious. We were so full that we passed on dessert, but would definitely be back because the options were inventive and looked so tasty. A doughnut bread pudding, a bourbon brownie; yes to both please!
