Fair at best, soggy eggroll. I was really hoping for good chineese in Algonac. Sadly no good Chineses near here.

Loads of places do house made pasta as a show, but that pasta goes to dry or stock up for another day, but at Jiang Nan, you place your order and they get to work pulling the noodles in front of a huge picture window and then they take them right to the pot to make your meal... and what a meal it was! To start, we shared pork bao and the cucumbers... oh my gosh the cucumbers (crispy, fresh, tossed in a bit of chili oil and garlic and just so dang good)! I got Beijing Zha Jiang Mian: delicious pan fried noodles topped with a sauce of savory fermented soybean paste and ground pork with fresh scallions and carrots. My husband got Beef Stir Fried La-Mian: tender sliced beef with bok choy stir fried with fresh noodles and a savory brown sauce. Our friends got soup noodles (I forgot which dishes) and they loved them as well. My only critique is that service was a little slow, even though the restaurant was half full. You must try this place!

My meal from Not Just Noodle was simply outstanding…read more The Seafood with Stir Fried Noodles dish was nearly perfect. The noodles were thick and toothy with a savory and especially tasty sauce. The combination of shrimp and scallops was buttery. The vegetables had a natural earthiness. I also loved the green onion pie (a.k.a., scallion pancake). The dough had the ideal weightiness to complement the gentle green onion flavor. I will definitely return.

And whoever mops the floors must have an irrational childhood fear of cleaning corners. Although the floors themselves are clean, each corner has a disgusting black buildup of filth. Likewise, the sinks in the bathroom. They have not been cleaned well in a very long time. Food: the beef roll pie is delicious. The marinated beef is OK but should be served cold, not room temperature. The steamed dumplings were OK too. However, the noodle dishes were oily, bland, flavorless, and just seasoned with a sweet brown sauce. Further, there is almost no meat to be found in the noodle dishes. What I had looked to be scraps. I paid three dollars extra to have the wide hand cut noodle. It was basically served raw to me. Service: this place has no concept of service. Food comes out haphazardly. First I got my entrée, then my daughter got her entree, then we got two appetizers. Sometime later, my son got his entrée, and the steamed dumplings came. Never once was an empty dish taken away, and never once was a water glass refilled. Service here is absolutely awful. Other than the beef roll pie, there isn't a single redeeming quality about this place. The food is awful, the service is terrible, all surfaces are sticky and dirty. Avoid this place at all cost.

Very friendly and fast customer service. And the broth was surprisingly rich compared to other ramen shops I've been to in USA. I also enjoyed texture of the noodles. It's a bit different kind of ramen compared to ones in Japan but it has its own flavor that I enjoyed . Spring rolls are huge with lots of glass noodles , meat and vegetables and fried to perfection. I think the pork topping is something like pork cooked in clock pot , sliced and pan fried to make it crispy outside. It's unique and I didn't dislike it. If I'm around the area again I'd definitely go back.

I used to crave this place and tell everyone about it when it was New Age Noodles and now I have zero desire to go back since the menu change/ rebranding. Sad. RIP.

They'll take your order to your if you eat in. The soda machine was wonky. It's one of those digital ones and it took two or three tries each time I wanted it to pour. This built up a long line at the soda machine. My wife had the pesto cavatappi and it was pretty good, if a little too creamy and bland. I had the Japanese flat noodles with steak and it was better than average. My kids got the mac and cheese and as you can see in the pic, it's a little under sauced. The menu choices are more interesting than your average fast food place and the product itself is fine. The issue is the price. I'm aware of inflation, but $44 to feed two adults and two 4 year olds is a lot. If the food were stellar or super filling, fine, but it was not. The kids meals were $7 each! I have been to Noodles and Company once or twice before and remember liking it better. I think this place is a few improvements away from 4 stars, but for now, it's just fine.
