Chips and guac were awesome. My Low and Slow Burrito was delicious, wife's quesadillas and daughters burrito were a hit too. I am Celiac, so I was questioning different items on the menu to see if they were gluten-free. The majority of the waitstaff didn't know much about whether items were gluten-free or not. They did go back to the cooks and find out. We had the chips & guacamole, and street corn cob as an appetizer. The chips for the chips and guac were mostly broken, which was disappointing, but the guacamole was very good. The tortilla chips are not gluten-free. They are made of corn, but are cooked in the same fryer as the churros which means they are cross contaminated. The street corn on the cob was excellent and we found out, gluten-free. Two of the members of our group had burritos. They were very big and well wrapped. They both enjoyed them. The rest of us had tacos. We had Carne Asada. (Excellent!), tuna (also very good) and pork (excellent!). If you don't like spice, the pork is the way to go. I ordered the chickpea and sweet potato side with my tacos. It was so spicy it was un edible. Even those in our group who like a lot of spice said it was too much and I couldn't eat it. Overall, it was a great meal. We really enjoyed ourselves. The deck was nice and I did not get sick from cross contamination. Overall, Trail Break was a winner.

For dinner I got the GF buffalo cauliflower starter (has a vegan option) and it was so good. The spice level was perfect and it was made really well. I had cider on draft and it was really good, plus there was a gluten free beer option which was such a nice surprise. They also had a lot of local items on the menu. Service was a bit slow, but overall the experience was still really enjoyable. I really wish more places like this existed because it makes eating gluten free and vegan on a trip so much easier and way less stressful.

The owner and management were inside talking to customers at the entrance. The ambiance is chill, friendly and with good music. About a third of the tables were full, with a full bar against a wall in the middle of the room. Great beer selection that included some great local brews. We tried their crispy wraps which reminded me of the old days when Chimichangas were menu staples in a now gone chain.... Our server was nice and she told us her favorite dishes ands I took her recommendations and it was superb. A welcome addition to Woodstock. We used to stop at an iconic coffeehouse and restaurant on the town center but it's got so busy recently that the 30-minute wait isn't worth it. Especially when we're on our way to Killington or Okemo. We may have just found a fav place.

The hostess was incredibly personable and sweet. I'd had a crap day and really just wanted a beer. It was 5 minutes to close. I figured it wasn't going to happen, but I figured I'd look at their draft menu for the next day and get an idea of what I'd want to eat when I come back. Not only did they take great care of me and get me a MUCH needed beer, but when I came back to eat the next day it got even better! I couldn't decide which beer I wanted. The girl was SO nice and gave me half of each. Good call, because I definitely liked one more than the other! Now HERE is the BEST PART: the worthy burger. Sweet Jesus. I heard angels. Seriously one of the best burgers I've ever had. Ever. The bun was perfect and THOSE PICKLES! The cheese was perfectly melted. Just the right amount of secret sauce. Did I mention the pickles were amazing? I also ordered truffle fries with Parmesan and a kid size order of the Mac and cheese. Because real cheese. They weren't bad. The truffle fries were on the milder side, but tasty. Maybe a little soft. Pro tip: get the pesto aoli to dip! I like homemade Mac and cheese and I hardly ate more than a few bites. I had heard great things but eh. Maybe I was just in love with the burger! I didn't get a picture. My phone died and I couldn't wait do yourself a favor- get the worth burger with some extra pickles on the side!
