Had brunch at Cheever tavern and it was good. They had a nice seasonal drink and food me menu with plenty to choose from. We had the breakfast bowl and basic breakfast and tried the French toast. The food was solid and service was good. Nice local spot to try.

We enjoyed dinner outside. Our waitress was great - very attentive and helpful. We started with the Buffalo cauliflower - full with flavor. It was even better when we asked for a side of ranch. For entrees we had the burger and the chipotle lobster roll. The fries were so good! Both meals were delicious! We'll be back!

Finally got the chance to try Cheever tavern and it was wonderful! We sat inside just due to the heat, but the outdoor space is lovely and I think it would be so nice in late August-September. The indoor space is cozy and there are both tables and bar seating! The Brussel sprout app was so yummy and definitely could feed 2-4 people. The ribs were delicious and perfectly cooked. I love how they make their own sauces, I really think it makes their dishes more unique! I didn't get any of their drinks but the ones at tables around looked good! Definitely a new go to spot on the south shore!

28 dollars for a pumpkin tortellini with only 8 pieces of pasta is kind of absurd.... Skip this

We found this place on Yelp As we always do. Nice clean restaurant in a residential neighborhood. Very friendly staff. Indoor n outdoor seating. We ordered the crab cakes, fried calamari n maple roasted Brussels. Both Crab cakes were good size n good n the Brussels sprouts were crisp n tasty. The fried calamari was good too. Generous portions. For entrees we had the Pulitzer burgher, bourbon steak tips, scallops w seafood risotto n beet salad. The scallops were yummy n moist perfectly cooked. Seafood risotto tasted good. Beet salad was very good w toasted caramel iced walnuts n goat cheese. We topped our meal with tiramisu, chocolate lava cake n crème brûlée. The molten lava cake was heavenly. The tiramisu n crème brûlée were good. Tx 4 a Great meal Cheever tavern. Will be back again next time we r in the area.

How cozy is this place?? I loved the vibes the minute I drove into the parking lot and saw the beautiful cemetery (I love cemeteries!) next to the restaurant. My husband and I came here for lunch and sat outside on the deck overlooking the cemetery. It was so calming, peaceful and relaxing. My husband ordered the Norwell chicken sandwich and I got the fish & chips. The chicken sandwich looked amazing; a giant piece of fried chicken topped with a very appealing-looking sauce. My husband inhaled the sandwich before I could ask to try a bite! My fish was fried in a very unique and very thick batter. I wasn't sure what to make of it - I didn't love it but I didn't hate it either. But what I did love were those fries!! They were like thin steak fries with a slight curl to them, perfect for dipping! I'd definitely come back here to try other things off the menu.

Warm chocolate cake (but it really is more of a brownie)

Interesting menu, quality service, some items we didn't love, some we did, but this is a great Norwell gem.

Great little spot for fresh sushi and more -- not "salty" at all!…read more I'm happy to say that Salty Days is one of the good speciality seafood places that you could count on one hand in the South Shore. The sushi rolls are hearty and could make a meal in and of itself. Fish was fresh, but I found the flavors in the rolls a bit muddled and on the sweeter side. We had honey and mango in our rolls that accounted for the sweetness, but I would have appreciated some acid or perhaps more salt (ironically) to cut it. I also sampled a poke bowl. Tuna was tasty and appreciated the texture of the crunchy bits. Service was friendly -- although they taunted us a bit as the TV on the wall had a live stream of a bar in St. John's. Want to know what that's about. Came once before early on and service and portions felt a bit off -- no longer -- they are learning and appear to be hitting their stride. On a side note, if you are like me, you're a bit confused why Greater Boston has nice seaside towns but don't lean enough into the ocean's flavor. A great omikase and sake is still not happening outside of Boston, unfortunately (if I'm wrong, tell me where).

We ended up here for both a happy hour and lunch, and the food, cocktails, and service exceeded my expectations. The fish and chips rivaled what I had while visiting Seattle. The fish was perfectly cooked with a light, crispy batter that wasn't greasy at all. During our happy hour, I indulged in the fried oysters, and they were cooked to perfection. You could tell they were fresh and expertly prepared. If you're looking for a great happy hour, lunch, brunch, or dinner, Oysterman is a great choice! They do get busy, and if you are arriving with a large party, plan on reservations. They do have a separate bar area and a patio.

True to their name, they offer fresh local oysters, as well as littleneck clams, shrimp, and of course, locally caught fish. On our first HH visit, I ordered the Duxbury-sourced oysters. They were sweet as sugar and a tad briny, Perfecto. Plus one ordered fried oysters, and they were fried perfectly. Since our golf match was rained out, we stopped by for lunch. My fish tacos were on point. The cod was so tender, and the cole slaw was a perfect accompaniment. Plus one ordered fish and chips, and according to live feedback, they were as good as the ones she had in Seattle. Lightly breaded tender haddock equals 5-stars! She judges all fish and chips by the one she experienced in Seattle! Service is on point, and we rarely, if ever had to flag down our bartenders for refills. They do have a full bar and an interesting (in a good way) wine list. The main bar area does get busy, but there is a satellite bar area and a patio. Sports are king here, and they have multiple TVs, so it's easy to catch a game or catch up on the sports news of the day. ,
