The shop is smaller inside but has a few display cases showcasing all their delicious desserts that have made them so popular over the years. I was picking up a carrot cake and a variety of cupcakes. I had to sample their chocolate and cream cheese frosting bites... mmmmm This location has been here since 2019 after their south ave store was so busy. Was excited to take my child here for their birthday.. they really wanted cupcakes and we were sorely disappointed. The cake in the cupcakes were EXTREMELY hard and dry, the only thing good was the icing, and it also was the only part of the cupcake we were willing to eat. Even better than the first time I had ever visited this bakery, which was in 1994 for our daughter's birthday cake. I stopped here after running another errands in the rochester regional market. They have the best cheesecake I have had anywhere and that includes the famous one in nyc. They have so many varieties of cheesecake. The have slices and much larger full cheesecakes. The cookies stuffed with cream cheese frosting are a must grab. They also have full cakes and slices. My favorite part of this business is the slices. You can try a different variety each time you go and narrow down which is your favorite. Or get a full cheesecake and a few different slices. We dropped by this location for curbside pickup and I am SO glad we did. You just cannot beat Cheesy Eddie's treats, be they at this location OR their South Ave location. I'll have to update my review when I actually have the chance to go into the warehouse once COVID is over, but the quality and process for curbside is simply the best. Some favorites of mine are the carrot cake (obviously), cheesecake, and the Jack or Jill's delight! Order online to save time and buy in BULK (yezzz) to eat treats for days. Divine! Cheesy Eddies has the best cheesecake ever. I have indulged in their cheesecake on numerous occasions but why have I not visited the store sooner?! They have red velvet cake and carrot cake, just to name a few of the non cheesecake desserts. The 20 piece dessert tray I purchased had a nice variety of mini mouthwatering desserts, a nice way to sample the variety available. My favorite was the key lime cheesecake. We'll be enjoying a delicious carrot cake on Halloween. The carrot cake was decorated in the store at time of purchase - love the spider web decor. Great location in Genesee Valley to the right and behind Palmer's. I already know that I love Cheesy Eddie's carrot cake and wonderful cookie sandwiches - so I thought this time around I would grab some cheesecake slices for dessert. I have been wanting to try the Black Button bourbon cream for awhile and was excited to see it was available as a slice option. The bourbon cream slice tasted like their basic cheesecake as a base, which is always rich, creamy and perfect, but I didn't appreciate much of a bourbon cream flavor in this cheesecake. The salted caramel type topping had a nice, buttery flavor making it still a great option. My husband likes more traditional flavors and loved the creamy, sweet fresh strawberry topping slice. I also love that they offer their cookie sandwiches in 3 sizes - mini, regular and a larger size. I got a mini of all three options - Peanut butter with a peanut butter creamy filling, chocolate chip with creamy filling and their well known oatmeal with cream cheese frosting filling - all three are amazing and you should try them all. Location is open, white with bright light, clean and has many options to choose from. They have full sized cheesecakes, cake slices, cheesecake slices, cookie sandwiches, pound cake and pound cake sandwiches with frosting in between and I spotted some brownies that also looked amazing that I plan to try next time. Cheesy Eddie's Bakery is a gem. Best place for carrot cake and cheesecake in Rochester. Their cookies are also amazing. The staff is friendly and worked efficiently during the busy pre holiday rush. I love that they have several different sizes of sampler cheesecakes to get slices of many different flavors they have to offer. The cheesecakes freeze very well if you want to save some for later. So far my favorite flavors are the original, peanut butter cup, oreo explosion, raspberry swirl, and cherry delight. The cupcakes and dessert trays are great for corporate gifting, bring to work treats and thank you gifts. I bought 2 slices of cake for my dad's birthday - carrot and cheese cake. The shop is small but bright, clean and in a shopping area with lots of parking. The workers are friendly and helpful. Once we got back, we couldn't wait and dove right into them. The carrot cake was moist and a little bouncy. I'm not much of a frosting person but I liked their cake to frosting ratio. I haven't had had a good cheese cake in years so I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised! I'm saying this even thought it didn't have a crust which is my favorite part. Clean and bright. It was national cheesecake day so I got a free slice I chose key lime. It was okay. I'll stick to the real deal and not cheesecake flavored key lime because if anyone is going to do it right it will be cheesy Eddie's. I wasn't a huge fan of it. There seemed to be too many employees not knowing what to do but it's a new place so I won't be too harsh. It takes time for new places to run smoothly. Not everything is labeled. I asked what the pink frosted cupcake was as there was no signage on that one and two employees "thought" it was raspberry. The cashier/checkout station is CRAMPED. The design doesn't seem that well thought out. The cashier was obviously new and overwhelmed by the brisk business, the trainer was super patient and offered encouraging words which was nice to see. I think people who come here need to understand to not be in a hurry. I visited today after a huge craving for a sweet snack. They had hand sanitizer right by the door and complied with COVID regulations. There was a large selection of sweets all in different sizes depending on how much you wanted which was nice. I got some cupcakes, slices of cheesecake, and mini cookie sandwiches. All were incredibly tasty, but I loved the mini cookie sandwiches. They were small enough to satisfy a craving without being too much sweetness.
