We were treated to a tiny ping-pong ball size sort-of-scoop (more shavings) of the flavors we chose which in no way came close to even half filling the little cup. As we left to sit down the server changed. We watched the next 4 people (now served by a young man and a different young woman than we had) deliver single scoops which packed the little cups to overflowing. I went back to buy a candy pop my granddaughter wanted and mentioned the disparity, asking if there was a standard scoop size. The poor young lady tripped over her words explaining they had a few different scoop sizes. The owner/manager over heard the exchange and came over to inquire. She unapologetically explained that the proper size serving was, indeed, a golf ball size serving. I didn't argue about our ping pong ball sized servings in the tennis ball sized cups. I didn't ask why the giant cup for the teeny tiny serving, I didn't ask for an apology. All would have been helpful to know or hear, though. I will never go back. The hospitality here belies the name, as it was decidedly not Southern...and economically not at all a good value proposition.

This is not my first rodeo here, thankfully but I can confirm there's no way to choose a favorite. Literally no way! This time I got stuffed chocolate chip which is stuffed with a brownie btw! You read that correctly and it was decadent omg!! Literally all of it was so flavorful and baked to absolute perfection! I also ended up with the seasonal cherry, it was so good I forgot the full name of it, as I try to wipe away drool. The crumble texture divine. Again, so flavorful. Once I started in on both of these I couldn't control myself and ate them both entirely. I left none left for my husband to try, sorry babe! The shop is tiny and cute and the staff is super friendly. I love this spot! Such a super special gem in our downtown Franklin! It's a must!

As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a smile by Sam. There was a display case full of yummy cookies of different varieties -- chocolate chip, stuffed chocolate chip (brownie inside), salted peanut butter cup, s'mores, brownie, sprinkles, oatmeal raisin, and vegan chocolate chip. They offer full-size cookies in singles, six pack, or a dozen or mini cookies in a cup, small box or big box. Whitney's also sells a small selection of drinks -- milk, sparkling water, chilled coffee, or regular water. We ordered a chocolate chip and a salted peanut butter. At $5 a cookie, this isn't an everyday indulgence, but the cookies were large enough to share. And they were really delicious, especially when they were heated up and the chocolate chips melted.

Using Taiwanese quality import ingredients, he makes everything from scratch. From delightful but expected savory dishes like noodles, ribs beef and his famous wonton. Get 'em while you can!!! --to his staple traditional boba drinks; then the unexpected items like the surprisingly authentic Portuguese Egg Custard, which is a tart, flaky pastry wirh warm Custard and not too sweet (something my Brazilian wife absolutely appreciated for its authenticity). Don't forget the comfy japanese light cheese cake and delicious pie! Then running the astronomically good deal of a discounted cake cookie when purchased with a delicious boba drink that blows Crumbl right out of the water (and Crumbl is actually next door! Sorry Crumbl). Warm and soft on the inside, and a nice crunch on the outside. He went great lengths to ensure they weren't *too sweet!* Service: Wilson is always there, and he and his employees are always super friendly and attentive. Ambiance: The restaurant itself is a little hole in the wall, and oh boy, does the revenue that is not spent on a bigger place go right back into the products. If you see the PF Changs next door, pull into the lot and make sure to say hi to Wilson! Have a lovely lunch, a delicious smoothie or boba, and grab yourself a fantastic quality little treat...for the road ;) Enjoy!
