We were treated to a tiny ping-pong ball size sort-of-scoop (more shavings) of the flavors we chose which in no way came close to even half filling the little cup. As we left to sit down the server changed. We watched the next 4 people (now served by a young man and a different young woman than we had) deliver single scoops which packed the little cups to overflowing. I went back to buy a candy pop my granddaughter wanted and mentioned the disparity, asking if there was a standard scoop size. The poor young lady tripped over her words explaining they had a few different scoop sizes. The owner/manager over heard the exchange and came over to inquire. She unapologetically explained that the proper size serving was, indeed, a golf ball size serving. I didn't argue about our ping pong ball sized servings in the tennis ball sized cups. I didn't ask why the giant cup for the teeny tiny serving, I didn't ask for an apology. All would have been helpful to know or hear, though. I will never go back. The hospitality here belies the name, as it was decidedly not Southern...and economically not at all a good value proposition.

The shop is cutesy with pink walls and a little social media worthy photo op on one of the walls. Lines are hit or miss. I either walk by and nobody is there or it's a long line. I can't say service at this location has ever been noteworthy. It's more just moving people through the line. They offer mini and regular sized donuts. I love, love, love that they offer mini donuts. I've never been a big fan of their donuts, but the winter donuts may have changed my mind. My favorites have been Sugar Cookie and Gingerbread Latte. I enjoyed the buttery, flaky layers. I also grabbed an iced sugar cookie and that was delicious. For drinks they offer coffees and a case with sparkling waters, juice, and canned coffee. Five Daughters is worth a try if you find yourself near a location.

The peanut butter was fluffy and the rich chocolate complimented it perfectly (the decorative chocolate piece on top was also a nice touch). It's hidden in the middle of some shops so it can be hard to find, but parking is plentiful. It's rather small on the inside but they have some chairs to sit outside as well. This place has some pies, soups, egg tarts, and of course, the best selling item- bubble tea! Strawberry Lemon Tea with Boba- This was the most refreshing drink for a hot summer's day. I told the owner that I wanted something fruity and she suggested this. I'm so glad that I listened to her. This was like a light strawberry lemonade with a slight taste of tea. Of course the perfectly chewy boba at the end of very sip was just the cherry on top. I had to wait a little bit for my drink and just hung out in my car while they got my order ready. They make everything from scratch so it was DEFINITELY worth the wait. I also want to note that for my lactose intolerant friends out there, they use only lactose free milk for their milk teas.
