We ordered takeout and I have to say eating the burgers in the restaurant may be a better choice. They tasted good- tons of flavor but fries were soggy when we got home. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side which is no problem but the music is blasting. If this is what they are going for they achieved their goal but if you want a place to talk and eat it's not the best. I could see this being a great late night spot to go.

Fried Pickle Chips

Cheeseburgers hits the spot if you are craving a decadent smash burger. If you're dining in, it doesn't offer much seating, and you will have a hard time having a conversation cause the music is very loud. I got the double bacon burger. It was good and huge. I also got the fried pickle chips. They had a good crunch, and weren't slimy like some, but they were too salty. The breading was as salty as fried chicken, but for breading pickles it was too much. It wasn't busy when I got there, but the service was fast. From ordering I had my food within 10 minutes.

Chili Dog, Onion Rings

Delicious chili dog and well seasoned fabulous onion rings - my test for any place new to me. Not much seating but we found a table. The thrash-metal music was surprising but enjoyable, and eventually went to some retro rock. $2 for a can of Pepsi is steep, but self-serve water is available. Cheeseburgers knows what it is: a simple, no-frills place with pretty good food.

After an unexpected wrist surgery, I figured if I couldn't lift much, I could at least lift a burger. So we DoorDashed some comfort food magic straight to our door. And, man, did it deliver! I ordered the original burger, ditched the mustard and added 1000 island to give it that mini Big Mac glow-up. My husband went for the Rodeo, because he's the kind of guy who sees onion rings on a burger and says yes to life. The burgers were hot, fresh, and seriously satisfying. They had that homemade feel...like if I still had two functioning wrists and a grill, I'd have made them myself. Now, let's talk fries. I ordered the truffle fries, which sounded fancy and fun at the time. Unfortunately, they didn't hold up too well in transit (extra oil + delivery = soggy sadness). Totally my bad. But a quick zap in the air fryer made them good as new! We're already planning a dine-in visit because if the delivery version was this good, I can't wait to try it fresh off the line. Consider us new regulars--surgically repaired and burger approved!

Cheeseburger

I have been here a few times. I normally just get a cheeseburger no sides or anything else. The burgers are a bit pricey but there are not many good cheeseburger options around so it's the next best thing. The customer service is ok nothing to brag about but they are nice in there. Plenty of seating if you want to dine in. I always struggle with parking depending on the day and because of the construction be prepared to walk a little bit to find parking around the area.

Artist wall!

Hands down my favorite burger joint. They have the best food here, any time of the day. It's a must visit after a night out at the bars or a long day at work. It's a hole-in-the-wall type joint. Just a few booths and tables, and some of the best playlists ever assembled. The food is made to order, and always comes out piping hot and fresh. The food speaks for itself - the sauces are made in house, the onion rings are hand cut and battered, you can watch them throw the fresh ground beef on the grill, I could go on and on. The staff is always polite and friendly, even late at night. If you're looking for what to try, the onion rings are absolutely fantastic - they are thick cut, with the perfect amount of breading. The taste is exceptional- I think the secret is some Cajun seasoning in the breading? You also can't go wrong with the namesake: a cheeseburger! There's something about the crispy smash burger, with just the right ratio of cheese, mustard, onion, and pickles. It's the perfect blend of flavors and will leave you anticipating your next bite!

DoorDashed cheeseburgers for lunch today, and they did not disappoint! We first tried this spot back when it was at Blue Sky and were so bummed when that location closed. Thankfully we can still get it delivered. The burgers are absolutely delicious and super filling. The fries are the perfect match, and the ranch is a solid 10/10. Also, do yourself a favor and get the fried pickles! Can't comment on in-person service since we had it delivered, but the order arrived quickly and everything was fresh. Definitely one of our go-to spots for a satisfying burger fix.

Special "REUBEN SANDWICH"
Lesley M.

Third stop of our great Reuben debate, and this was tied for second place in my opinion. The two guys working were super friendly and easy to talk to while making my order. Our Reuben sandwich tasted great, but I didn't taste as much sauerkraut as I thought I would. To me it tasted like fried onions were replaced for the sauerkraut which was a twist that I enjoyed. Hands-down some of the best onion rings that I ordered based on reviews. Those were amazing! Everyone in my group could not get enough of them. Definitely want to come back to try one of their burgers.

The Benny
Malika C.

First time trying Cheeseburgers and the experience was okay overall. I had the Benny with some extras added, chili dog, chicken sandwich, and the truffle fries. The best thing was the hot dog, the chili dog was pretty good. I liked that the chili had beans. Burger was not bad but it wasn't a stand out for a place callled cheeseburgers it should do cheeseburgers better than anything else and for me the hot dog was better. I've had much better burgers. Now to the bad, the truffle fries were disgusting. Completely inedible to me. They need to throw them off the menu. I also didn't care for the chicken sandwich I only ate one bite and threw the rest out. Overall, I'm surprised by the reviews being so high. It was okay for a burger or a hot dog but half the items I got were gross and I definitely didn't enjoy it enough that I'd recommend people go out of their way for this.

This place was an amazing choice! The decor was super cute and the food was perfect. We both got the nation burger (fancy Big Mac)! The service was also great; super nice people. I loved all of their local information as well for local events. The vanilla shake was superb :)

There is construction in front of the business, not their fault. Made it very hard to find a place to park. We are about 1/2 a block away uphill. Not looking forward to the walk back, but hey it's cardio. Very cute place with some up to date music. We looked on line for recommendations. We ordered the jalapeño and cream cheese burger and the rodeo burger. The rodeo burger is a hidden menu item, also some truffle fries. The fries were perfect, very balanced and yummy. The jalapeño and cream cheese burger needed a kick of some sort, but good. The star of the show, we both agreed was the rodeo burger. We will definitely comeback for one of those!!

Great atmosphere, I really enjoy the 90s music and occasionally they play anime like "one piece" on the TV. Why I rated this place five stars is because of the workers! Everyone that works here seems to be so kind, they even remember their costumers names. When it's late they still do a great job cooking, and their attitudes our positive. Which is good because I don't have to worry about the quality of my food because I ordered at 11:00pm.

I'm not a big burger person, but I wanted to eat a burger in Omaha, and Cheeseburgers makes a great burger! The burgers taste fresh, and even though we ordered take-out, it was evident that the burgers were made-to-order. They are open late for a snack or when you miss the dinner window (like us). I'm wondering if they make their own pickles. I will be a return customer.

The Drover, a review:…read more When you pull into the parking lot the outside of the place appears very unassuming. Once you walk-in, the modest decor gets even more humbling. It's a very old school, western, and rustic type of vibe. There's a sense of rugged individualism, resilience, and Western identity. Cowboys are a big part of the theme here, hence the brand name, The Drover. Various murals of impersonations of these vaqueros plaster the walls. The lounge area gives off old mafia movie feels, as you can picture how it could be filled with clouds of cigar smoke as mafioso Capos & soldiers belly-up to the dark bar sipping on their Scotch. Once the drinks start flowing and you get relaxed then the magic starts! You won't be disappointed in the Old Fashioned, or any other type of cocktail for that matter. The fresh baked bread comes out first with a significant portion of spread butter, which is absolutely delicious! Then you realize, that this place actually still has an old school salad bar. Like as soon as I seen the salad bar with all the fixings and the homemade Thousand Island dressing, I was hooked! Finding an open buffet style salad bar these days is as rare as finding a good woman who cooks and cleans. They're like unicorns. The Drover has several cuts of meat to select from. You honestly can't go wrong with the cut that you choose. They have seafood selections as well, just in case you want to get your Surf 'N Turf on. There's one thing that you can definitely say about this place, and that's the fact that it's a no-frills type of joint. They don't waste any time with any fluff. It's strictly meat & potatoes...literally. You won't find any bartenders here doing stupid bottle tricks and begging for clicks like they do out in Vegas. Instead you'll find Tony, who just keeps the glasses full with the concoctions that you wish to imbibe on. One of the female bartenders would fit right in at home in NYC as she drops an F-bomb or two. But, I'm no Karen, so I welcome the realness. She stated, "it's so fucking hot in here", as the bar fills up and the workers get slammed! Now onto the main course: I went with the 8oz Filet and the loaded baked potato. It was delicious! Simple, tasty, and loaded with flavor. They're famous for their secret "whiskey marinade" recipe. The baked potato comes out still wrapped in its foil, which will bring back memories of when your dad would cook them on an open flame charcoal grill. Did I mention the butter? I think I ate enough butter to kill a baby cow! And, I still couldn't get enough. Overall, this place is the epitome of Midwest Steakhouses. It gets right to the point and its customers will appreciate that! One guest told the bartender that he's not from Omaha, but every time he comes into town he comes directly to The Drover to eat dinner. He stated, "I've been coming here for 28 years". Later adding, "except for the years it was burnt down". Another female bartender quickly corrected him, "it was only shutdown for 9 months". Well, when your favorite restaurant is closed for any amount of time, "it felt like years", I added, as we all got a good laugh. As one old timer who came to sit at the bar said, "this is our favorite place". Well...old cowboy, I can see why. And, just like any Old Western movie, The Drover packs a serious punch. Pro tip: they open for dinner at 5:00pm, so get here early, unless you have Reservations of course. I got there at 4:55pm, no reservation, sat at the open bar, which is first come first serve and by 5:40 the place was packed! And, this was on a Wednesday.

Everett's is a solid ten! At least that's what I would give them if I could. We had heard about…read morethem and were very excited to try. I'm sure everything on the menu is good, but we came here for wings and boy did they deliver. The house brined wings are Fantastic. We did the extra hot bubba, which is their extra hot sauce fried then grilled In garlic Parmesan, which was so juicy and flavorful and kicked the heat to a perfect amount where it was flavorful but not overbearing. We also did the cactus ranch, which is the medium hot sauce tossed with cactus ranch seasoning, also tried it grilled. Another solid selection that provided a nice amount of heat and flavor. Both were so amazing I can't even say which one I liked more or which one was hotter. The wings are huge, juicy, and came out well-sauced. I filled up after five of mine (my husband tackled them all) and took the rest home. I don't know how to say best wings in Omaha, since I don't live there and haven't tried enough places, but these were some of the best wings we have EVER had, period. And we get wings almost everywhere we go. Also---the hand-cut (you heard me) fries aren't to be passed up on. We tried with the garlic aoili, so good, and a huge basket for $6. Our server was great. They are always busy, so give them some grace. We came during late lunch, got lucky and got seated right away, and it was still a revolving door of people, tables don't sit empty for long. They don't take reservations, and I understand why. They have limited space and when full, you sign up on the Board, there is a bar next door you can also receive a buzzer and go have a few drinks while you wait. This place is definitely worth the wait and we will repeatedly be back when we make it up to Omaha.

In addition, our server Laura was great -- friendly, efficient, came back to check on us, refilled water glasses, prompt with the food and with our bill. The atmosphere was just ok. Some eclectic posters adorned the walls. There were a couple of large tv screens tuned to a sports channel. Interior seemed a bit dark for a sunny mid-afternoon. But the food! My wife & I shared a BBQ Pulled Pork and Bacon Burger with a side of Branding Potatoes plus a Fry Basket option #3 (asian). Each item was totally delicious -- amazing blends of flavors! I cannot give enough praise. Some creative genius (maybe several of them) was involved in cooking up this kind of flavorful delight! Highly recommend!!

I noticed a lot of newer eateries and businesses in Aksarben since the last time I was there, so hopefully some of them stick around a while. Anyhoo, on to Crispy Burger! First off, the interior is bright and colorful, with a lot of orange, red, and then an accent wall of black and white geometric shapes. It's a super welcoming vibe! One thing that's kind of weird is that the building (and Yelp and Google) says Crispy Chicken, but all the wrappers and signs say "Crispy Burger" which was confusing. The smells inside when you walk in make your mouth water, so get ready to over order if it's your first time here (we definitely did!) They have a LOT of fried things, like fried chicken, mozzarella sticks, popcorn chicken, etc. So this definitely is not an every day place if you are looking for health food. We ordered the cheese sticks to start and they were enormous. Definitely shareable between a few people, as each cheese stick is like an appetizer in itself! I ordered the nuggets and fries, and they were really well breaded and pretty large. You can choose from about 1500 sauces for dipping (ok, maybe more like ten, but that's still a lot!) The fries were great too, that come as a side in your box. My husband had the bone in chicken wings combo, and he was very pleased with his choice. Gigantic wings, with fries, a biscuit, and mashed potatoes and gravy on the side. Now is Crispy Burger fine dining or somewhere you'd go on a date night? Definitely not. But it's nice, tasty food, for a pretty inexpensive price. So I would definitely recommend trying it out next time you're in the Aksarben area!

I'd have to say the fan favorite of the night was the skewers. The flavor was so tasty and light. I believe it was chicken thighs, there were some fatty pieces but I honestly didn't mind. The nuggets reminded me of a similar fast food location with the Golden Arches logo. I honestly didn't mind because these had more flavor and seasonings within; same consistency of chicken within though. I can see myself coming back here to try some of their boba and rolled ice cream!
