Love this place so much and the owner is extremely knowledgeable! Great options for fondue cheese too. Love it whenever I am entertaining to get new cheese selections. read more

absolute favorite sandwiches and everyone who works there is SO nice. Definitely my favorite place to eat in Golden

They previously served a sandwich called a Strami which was delicious. Recently the sandwich has become a red cabbage sandwich with perhaps a very slight hint of pastrami. Very disappointing. It is unlikely that I will waste my money there again. read more

One of the best sandwich ever!! The owner is such a amazing man. You can tell the customers love his establishment and his employees love working with him. We had three different sandwiches on the menu and they were all Delicious. Can't wait to go back for more. Great job on the cheese, business Sir!! read more

A great hidden gem! Stopped by here for lunch and their grilled cheeses are amazing. They also pointed us in the right direction for a local brewery. read more

We've eaten at the Cheese Ranch twice so far. It's delicious. I loved the cheese curds and the Veg Head sandwich. Hubs ordered the Diego and loved it too. Also, l very much enjoyed the fruit side options that are offered. read more

I throughly enjoyed my time here today. Its a great cheese shop in walking distance from downtown Golden. I wish I had a store like this in Nashville. You can get such a great cheese sample for $11.00. All 5 of us enjoyed the most delicious cheeses. They have wine to drink and also places to sit outside. Rich was so helpful and took such great care of us. My friends were so impressed with the local vibe and personal attention given to ensure we thoroughly enjoyed our time while we sat and sampled the delicious cheese. There were lots of customers coming in and out buying sandwiches and packaged cheese curds. The sandwiches looked delicious. Rich was very accommodating to all of our requests and questions. If there is a certified cheese master award he should have it. read more

Such a great little shop. The people are always super friendly and knowledgeable about all of the cheeses and other great items. And the incredible staff serves up incredible cheese! I have always been extremely happy with the quality of the meats, cheeses, and little add ons that have come in every cheese plate that I've gotten. I can't recommend Cheese Ranch enough. I recently moved a bit out of the golden area but it's always worth the trip. read more

Stopped here for the first time with 5 others. All 6 of our sandwiches were perfectly made and so delish. We brought home some cheese, salsa, crackers and other goodies to try later. Cheese Ranch - Grilled cheese of the day - Cheese Shops Near Me - Golden, Colorado

More awesome food from this super deli. Friendly young staffers take great care to answer questions and serve up their great meats and cheeses. Reasonably priced. Had the toasted cheese 'of the day", awesome on great bread toasted perfectly. Highly recommend. read more

Nice local Golden spot. Good lunch sandwiches or step up your game with a charcuterie board for date night and concert at Red Rocks!

Great place super friendly people. Let you sample everything, and they have some great things. Great cheese. Can't wait to go back and try a sandwich. read more

Yes! Another great restaurant in Golden! I just tried their pastrami sandwich and it was so delicious. It had thinly sliced pickles that were super crunchy. The meat was good and the bread was fresh! The staff was extremely friendly and excited about their new awesome business. Also, this was great value! $8 for a big sandwich and chips! That's a steal! Highly recommend. We will be back. read more

Food was fresh and delicious and served with a smile. The options were creative but all sounded amazing. When visiting Golden, we will definitely visit again. read more

I checked this place out with my boyfriend. The YeeHaw sandwich was delicious, though his Italian was quite mediocre. In addition, he was quite bothered that the sandwich was named for an Italian (as well as Spanish and Portuguese) ethnic slur. Whether ownership is aware or not, the term D*go is offensive and should not be the name of a menu item. Especially if, as the cashier explained, they have "taken some flack for it before." read more

Me and my girlfriend stopped here on our drive out to Idaho Springs and I cannot recommend this place to more people! The staff was very friendly and the food was amazing. 10/10 potato salad and whatever the grilled cheese of the week is, drop what you're doing and get it!! read more

You had me at, "Would you like to sample from our cheese platter." Thanks to the early Yelpers who flagged this little gem. As a lazy camper, I was looking to grab a couple sandwiches for dinner at our campsite rather than fire up the stove. Cheese Ranch did not disappoint. We walked out with a meat and cheese combo sandwich and one of their smalller "grab and go" ham and cheese sandwiches. Both were delicious: fresh bread with a chewy crust, rich meats and cheeses and plenty of condiments. Such a delicious meal. My only regret was that I didn't have the cooler-power to grab a few bits of cheese. Next time. And there will be a next time. read more

Small shop, amazing sandwiches. order on the phone and stop in 10 minutes later fast easy delicious.

Great sandwiches, I mean truly great. Their veg head sandwich with or without meat is fantastic. If you have dietary restrictions you'll want to be very emphatic about it. I've gone home with cheese on my sandwich and had to drive back with no discount or even a genuine apology 3 times. No free cookie, no discount, it was always "Oh, hahaha sorry you had to drive all the way back here *again* hahaha." Yeah, not that funny?? Im actually pretty annoyed by it and that should tell you something about how good this sandwich actually is, because normally that happening repeatedly would cause me to stop coming back. ;) read more

Great sandwiches! My favorite is the National Bird - turkey, pesto, and cheese. The flavors are great and ingredients are quality. We've talked to the owner a few times when grabbing lunch and he's always friendly and working hard. Awesome spot for a delicious lunch! read more

Amazing taste, quality, and staff. Best sandwich shop I've found in Golden, maybe even all of Colorado.

Great food! I usually get a soup and sandwich and it's just the right amount for me. The staff is patient (while I'm figuring out what to order), polite and just plain nice. Even before COVID, I was impressed by the cleanliness of the restaurant. I highly recommend Cheese Ranch. read more

I love the Cheese Ranch! Sandwiches are so tasty especially Bay of Pigs and Yeehaw! Fondue Friday is the best! They may even make it others days too! Just ask! Thanks a bunch to Rich, Calum and Brandon for making every Cheese Ranch experience 5 Star! P.S. they also have the best and freshest cheese curds in the state or CO (trust me on this one). read more

If you want a fun night with an amazing fondue dinner, then head to Cheese Ranch in Golden. All the cheese selections were delicious, but the fondue and Italian sandwich were both great. Great food great people, family owned! Service was amazing. The food was amazing. I will be back. Great place a must try!

I LOVE CHEESE RANCH!!!! We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon. Little did we know, Rich had already closed shop for the day. However, he came to the door with a smile on his face, told us to come in, and made us some of the best charcuterie platters we've ever had. This place is heaven! I felt as happy as the smiling cows and sheep painted on the walls. What a happy little shop. I will be coming back here every time I visit Golden. Thank you, Rich! read more

We love this place! Yummy sandwiches and a great assortment of cheeses and meats to choose from.

Amazing place to grab lunch or dinner. Definitely worth checking out. The owner is awesome and super friendly. Food is some of the best in town. Patio allows dogs and they even give your dog small cheese bites, which mine loves. read more

4 stars because they offered a better range of cheese than I've seen elsewhere and some unique fig jams. Had our sandwiches to go and cold since we brought them on a hike. Excellent customer service where they put all sauces on the side so they wouldn't get soggy. Because of this, I don't think we got the full sandwich experience. The sandwiches were only ok. But the descriptions sounded mouth watering and I'm sure it'd be different if we had them warm like they were meant to be. And we didn't sock up on cheese even though I desperately wanted to. read more

My friend was getting a haircut next door. It was a long wait so I saw this little shop decided to step in and check it out. Cheese is one of my favorite things in life and it's rare to see a place dedicated to cheese only, at least in California. I had a huge meal at Denny's earlier so I didn't get the cheese curds and sandwich although I really wanted to try it. The owner was extremely welcoming and made me try all different kind of cheese. They were all sooo good, I mean what can go wrong with good quality cheese. All so savory and a bit sweet and tangy... I got some Ewephoria cheese, it was recommended to me because i like pecarino and it was very similar. Maybe slightly less salty and less aged than pecarino but it was amazing. Then I bought two different kind of gouda, springkoe and Vlaskaas, both amazing. My two favorites are definitely the Red Dragon Cheddar, which is a cheddar mixed with plenty of mustard, heavy mustard flavor. So unique and I'm going to get it next time if I were to make a nice gourmet restaurant style burger, think it would be amazing. Lastly the La Bonne Vie Honey Goat cheese was the best cheese I've ever had it was sooooo amazing and I'm going to get more when ever I see it. read more

You must go get a cheese platter. You'll spend less than than buying a bunch of grocery store cheese anyway, and it will taste better and be so much more fun. They have a selection of goat cheeses and others for those that have trouble with lactose and cows milk cheese. read more

Great cheese, great Sandwiches (we tried the Dago), and a great price on prosciutto. We stopped in while in Golden for a snack. I'm completely bowled over by the service, the products, and the sandwiches. The selection is fantastic, and large enough you'll find something you like without being overwhelming. I'll probably make trips to Golden just to eat here. read more
