Being that I am a Bostonian, Cheers was always on my bucket list but never need the top of it. But after a long walk around Boston, we ended up on the steps of the Cheers, my boyfriend and I looked at each other and said why not. It was a chilly evening right at the beginning of fall so we wanted something cozy to warm up in. I actually didn't realize the replica bar upstairs wouldn't be open, although I think sometimes it is because I've seen pictures where there's people sitting in it, but I think mostly they use it for show. We saw people coming from downstairs so we decided to check it out. When we got inside the place was packed. The bar had no seats whatsoever so we stood by the countertop right behind the bar. We got a downeast hard cider on draft, which was really good. Luckily seats opened up at the counter. The bartender let us know that we could purchase the mugs if we wanted to bring them home. I decided not to as we were walking and taking the train home, but I might come back to get one so I can have the memorabilia. The downstairs bar is very cozy. It's sort of centers the room and around it our tables where you could eat at. I overhead the staff say the tables are just for food and drink -- I think because it's so busy. When you continue on past the bar, you get to a mini gift shop right before the bathrooms, they also had name tags where you could write your name on, which was cool. My boyfriend surprised me with a magnet because he knows I collect them, which was cute. Next to the bathrooms are stairs to go visit the replica bar from the show. This is also where they have the main gift shop with plenty of things you could take home, including shirts, sweatshirts, mugs, magnets, and other cool stuff too. Honestly working in the hospitality industry I will recommend this bar to tourists and to locals. Even though it is very touristy, there is quality behind it so it works well. I will be back to try a cuppa chowder!

Service was excellent! Quick friendly staff. The nostalgia this place offers is unmatched. The lower level is the cheers that inspired the show. The second level is the set replica and they even have the characters exact seats on the bar tops! We had a few drinks downstairs and then headed up to the bar set for pub food and drinks. It is pub grub. Also Stopped in to the gift shop. We had a great time. Such a cool experience.

"Where everybody knows your name, and they're always glad you came...." While in Boston, I decided to do the tourist thing and visit Cheers (I also did the Hop-On Hop-Off bus sightseeing tour lol). When we first entered, the bar area downstairs was packed, so we were asked if we were there for food or just drinks. We were there for food, so we were given a ticket and told how to get to another part of the restaurant where there was additional seating. Let me tell you... I felt like a rat in a maze trying to find it! But we eventually made our way to the other seating area. We were initially seated in this REALLY tiny space where the table was practically pushing into my abdomen. It was not comfortable at all, and honestly, that little space they're trying to utilize needs to go. We ended up moving ourselves to another table that had much more room. It took a little while for our waiter to come over, but once they did, they were pleasant. I will say, I was expecting some cool Cheers-style greetings or something, but nope! I guess everybody didn't know our names after all! Now for the food... I ordered the Pastrami Reuben with a Root Beer and, for dessert, the Boston Cream Pie. Everything was delicious to me! And honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. For a touristy spot, I didn't have high expectations at all, so needless to say, my expectations were exceeded! I'd definitely come back to try some of the other food options, and maybe buy a souvenir next time. The souvenir shop was packed when we went, so I'll have to check it out on my next visit. Overall, I'm glad I did the tourist thing and stopped by Cheers!

Yeah, ok, we caved and came to the tourist attraction. But you know what? This was a very pleasant surprise. First off, yes, it's not the bar from the show. But they have done a great job giving the entire joint a serious style and vibe that makes it feel like you could have taken it right out of the television. Lots of vintage decor and show memorabelia, definitely cool to see. The establishment kind of consists of three or four different dining rooms, and you know that it will almost certianly be busy when you come, as it was when we did. But I gotta give props to the staff, who did a great job juggling to many customers and still getting everything out in pretty quick order. The drink menu is pretty standard, with a good selection of beers on tap, including a really good house hazy that I recommend. And of course, wine and cocktails available. And as for food, it is mostly lots of pub favorites, with some house specialties tailored to certain characters. We both wound up going with the Giant Norm Burger, which was excellent. Two beef patties, plenty of cheese, and lots of sauteed mushrooms. Definitely a winner! And price wise, I was pleasantly surprise, as it didn't seem any more expensive than other similar pub sorts of places we explored in Boston, so good on them for not falling into the tourist trap mindset. All told, Cheers was a surprise on this Boston trip. Surprising we went, and surprising how much we enjoyed it. If you want a taste of nostalgia AND a taste of good burgers, definitely consider swinging by if you are visiting.

I grew up right outside Boston and had never been! It's a strangely big tiny place! Lots of tourists in town for FIFA which made the bar lively and fun to be in! The service was attentive, quick and super friendly. The food was bar food - nothing great. But I don't think you come for the food. Bathrooms are also bar bathrooms. Not that I would run back to eat there but it was a fun vibe and a great location!

Norms spot

We had such a fun time visiting the iconic Cheers in Boston! We made sure to sit in Norm's spot (lucky us), which made the experience even more special. I ordered a Bloody Mary that was flavorful and perfectly balanced, while my boyfriend enjoyed a cold, refreshing beer. The atmosphere is exactly what you'd hope for--friendly, lively, and full of nostalgia. A must-stop if you're in Boston, especially for fans of the show!

Food was not good, but I went there for atmosphere. Service was great and it's a fun place.

Such a fun experience here in Boston. Downstairs is the original bar that inspired the show, ( Bull and Finch) and upstairs is a recreation of the set, with memorabilia. Try going midweek to avoid crowds. FUN merchandise to purchase in the store too. Grab a drink and some lunch. A must visit. Staff is very friendly as well. Make sure to go down the back staircase and take a pic!

A very nostalgic themed restaurant/bar! Split into two sections, this place is a must-see! Visiting Boston, of course we needed to stop here. It looks a lot like the show. Tina was awesome and welcomed us to Boston, let alone Cheers! Tons of themed items on the menu but we weren't quite hungry enough for separate meals in the late morning from our travels, so we got an appetizer sampler. It was really delicious and my fun beer mug that I had with the Bull & Finch IPA in it really hit the spot as the "first drink in Boston". I wanted the mug but this being the first stop of our week long trip, I didn't want to splurge too much yet. Overall, it's a bit pricey but the theme/nostalgia and quality is well worth it!

We stopped by Cheers Boston to grab a bite to eat for lunch while exploring the city. Although the interior looks nothing like the actual bar from the long-running television sitcom, there is still something undeniably fun about experiencing a place tied to such an iconic piece of television history. The real establishment is the historic Bull & Finch Pub, which served as the inspiration for the exterior shots used in Cheers. Inside, the walls are filled with memorabilia ranging from cast photos to Boston sports history, giving the entire place a nostalgic atmosphere that fans of the show will immediately appreciate. It feels less like stepping onto a television set and more like stepping into a small piece of Boston pop-culture history. The food and drinks were solid, but the experience itself is really the reason to visit. If you find yourself in the greater Boston area, it's absolutely worth stopping by -- if only to say you had a drink where "everybody knows your name." .

Unfortunately, nobody knew my name haha, but you did have the option to put on a name tag so people could address you accordingly. Haha I won't hold that against them though, it was my first time being there so that's not something I'll use against them haha! The drinks were surprisingly more affordable than I was anticipating and we were able to find seats, although it was honestly a miracle given all the tourists and patrons wandering around and waiting online by the bar. If you're a fan of the show, Boston drinking History and the culture, I would say definitely check this spot out, otherwise there's not much point waiting around for an overly packed bar for drinks you could get elsewhere for less hassle. The environment is nostalgia ridden and FULL of history and meme prices with plenty of stories to hear and tell. Servers are expert navigators and quick to attend to you. Drinks are worth the wait for the size and price, but nothing out of the ordinary.

I forgot this place was here. I saw it coming in from the airport to our hotel. I immediately thought we need to go there. Not too far from out hotel, we walked through the park, found it and went down stairs. I just had to see it. Woe. It was smaller than I thought it would be. We walked around to the back side. The whole place was packed. We finally got a seat and ordered some drinks. A few bar seats came open and we sat there. The tender was awesome and real helpful. We then ordered the calamari. Wow The best I've ever had. They do something special. The peppers are an awesome touch. The place was pretty special even though it wasn't the actual bar I remembered. The food was really good. The beer was cold. The people were real nice. It felt like I imagined it would. P.S. I just found out there is an upstairs with a replica bar. Now we need to go back. Really didn't need a reason but now I have one.

Are there TVs at the bar to watch sports on a Sunday afternoon?

I do believe there were televisions.

Is the veggie burger vegan, or just vegetarian (aka does it have eggs, cheese, or dairy)?

Our veggies burger is not vegan as it does contain bread crumbs. Sorry for the inconvenience! Let us know if we can help with any other questions.

Parking is very difficult. I used SpotHero and parked in a parking garage close to the other end of the park.

Let's start with the good: the Buffalo chicken dip was actually very good and easily the highlight of the meal. Now for the bad: the French onion soup was far too salty and tasted like it came straight from a can. The coleslaw was bland. And then the ugly: the clam chowder had some kind of spice added that completely threw it off. My immediate reaction after the first bite was, "Nope."The lobster roll, which should have been the star of the menu, was the biggest disappointment. The lobster did not taste fresh, which is inexcusable for a restaurant advertising itself as having the best lobster roll around. As for the service, our waitress was pleasant and clearly trying her best, but she was so busy that things were frequently forgotten throughout the meal.Overall, I cannot in good conscience recommend this place, and I would not return. There are far too many better options in Boston to waste your time or money here. Food: 1 Service 2 Atmosphere 4
