This is one of the worst restaurants I have ever experienced. After being ignored for over an hour, we were finally sat. Still hopeful, we continued to be ignored for another thirty minutes. We had to go back into the kitchen to get an employee to help us. Also, there is a leak in the roof where we were sat and continuously got dripped on. It is extremely discouraging because we are typically large Cheddar's fans. This was a sad way to spend my friend's birthday. We will not be returning to this Cheddar's location. read more

Stopped in Valdosta for the night kn 8/31/18 on the way to Atlanta. Hotel was near Cheddars so decided to give it a try. Didn't have to wait for a table but 10 minutes later there was a pretty big wait. Ordered drinks, waitress had to look at the menu. I guess she didn't know the menu? I bnb order Jamesons Irish whiskey on the rocks she looked at me as if I was speaking Chinese. Food was just ok. Place was a mess. Bussing tables was done by servers and poorly as I watched several. Place was packed so maybe its because there is nothing better around? Not sure. I dont recommend. A read of the reviews shows this place knows how to do right sometimes. I did not see it. Waited 30 minutes to place order then when the manager found someone to wait on us, they lost the order. Second time it happen, just left. Today we wanted some soup. Simple enough, right? We were seated quickly, got our drinks & placed our order, soup & salad. Nothing else. Twenty minutes later, all of our neighboring customers have placed their orders & have been served. I haven't eaten here much, but it has always been a wonderful experience. The food is always great as is the service. The manager is also wonderful. There were customers who were unhappy with the place they were seated, so the manager reseated them. Also, he was very great with children. This place was awesome. The customer service was excellent and the food was great. We walked in 15min before closing ( they recently changed the closing time we weren't aware until we got there it was a note outside the doors stating the time change) we walked in thinking they were going to turn around the man who greeted us immediately tried to find us a table. Dropped in for lunch, well maybe it was a snack. Went for the baked sweet potato and the mac & cheese. Both were good. Didn't feel like having meat at the moment. Maybe next time. The worst service and food I have ever experienced with Cheddars!!! Ordered are drinks and asked for water with lemon , needless to say after asking 4 times I stopped!! Then ordered the free chips and cheese dip with meat ... only to get the crumbs of the chips and no meat in cheese sauce ... then as for our order of 2 vegetable plates and a child's grilled cheese and FF. This is what we got . 2 plates of veggies with one missing from our plaTe and Mac&Cheese instead of grilled cheese . After asking for our soup and salad 2plus times after our veggies were done , they brought out the bottom of the pot potato soup that looked brownish and pastey and still not grilled cheese!! Finally child's grilled cheese came out!! Now this was not at a busy time either!! It was Sunday evening around 7:45 . Now when it was time to pay the cHeck which she never even asked us together or separately , she hung out till tipp was filled out talking sweetly and had time for us !!! Skinny margaritas are pretty good and fairly priced but we waited way too long for our food to arrive. My shrimp was cold with my chicken plate. The price point on the menu here is insanely reasonable. We ate salads, surf n turf dinners, had great drinks, and enjoyed dessert for under $50. The MLB Playoffs were on TV in HD for us to enjoy while we just relaxed and ate. We had been driving back and forth from Kansas City to Florida and back. We were exhausted and came here on a recommendation from the young lady who worked the front desk at the Fairfield Inn just down the street. The bartender was there when we needed him and was quiet and not invasive while we just enjoyed our meal and watched the baseball game. You get a lot of bang for the buck here when it comes to food, and the food was great quality. The aesthetics are very nice and the pricing of the menu will surprise you...when you walk in and sit down at the bar you automatically think it's gonna be a pricy visit. We were pleasantly proven wrong. It was a great experience. We have a Cheddar's near us in Overland Park, KS, but had never gone there. We will be sure to become regular patrons at our local Cheddar's because of this experience! read more

I'm kinda torn.... I've been here a couple other times (before yelp) and was impressed but today was a little ho-hum - i started off with a tower of onion rings and noticed as i started they were a little greasy and by the time I was at the bottom you could hardly eat em because of the grease - then came the main course: tenders and shrimp both buffalo - i couldn't decide between the two so this i thought was a perfect compromise at only 2$ more than the tender plate - well the 2$ extra gave me 2 less tenders and only 4 shrimp.... and by midway of the plate my tenders were very soggy and cold - our server was courteous and prompt however it took her 3 attempts to bring me an unsweetened tea refill - she claims the pitchers were labeled wrong - and as other reviews have noted our side of the restaurant was extremely loud (i think this may be related to the brick walls...) i really wish I had listened to other reviews and traveled up the road to a highly recommended restaurant... oh well I know for next time read more

I visited this place while visiting Valdosta for work. Coming from Las Vegas, I typically have high expectations for food since Vegas has a wide-variety of restaurants and fine dining. I would say that this place did meet my expectations and didn't really fall short in any area. The prices were decent, the décor was good, then cleanliness was great, and the food was good enough to pay for without having regrets. I ordered the sirloin steak and half rack of ribs, along with mashed potatoes, broccoli, homemade black beans, and a side of grilled cheese sandwich. I'd say the best items in that group were the ribs, beans, and grilled cheese sandwich. They were cooked to perfection. The steak was cooked well done when I ordered it medium, but definitely not a show stopper for me being that I'm not a picky eater. Probably the best part of my experience here was the service. I usually do not bother writing reviews, but felt strongly compelled after my experience. Cheddars is right next to a hotel that I have stayed in multiple times on business trips. The resturant does not offer curbside or delivery services. I called and inquired, hostess was particularlly rude and actually hung up the phone when I stated I would like to place a ToGo Order. I have dined at Cheddars multiple times and have never encountered such rude behaviors. I called back to ask why she hung up and she never apologized for the behavior.
