Love the rack of ribs! Not too sweet and meat falls off the bone! The chicken tenders are delicious also! Service was fast and great!

I'm visiting from out of town, and my parents, who live here, had suggested we try the new spot on Riverdale. We decided to give it a shot, and we were not disappointed. We were greeted and seated immediately by a friendly hostess (we came in about 2:30, which seems good based on wait time complaints). The place is clean, nicely decorated, and has a good vibe to it. I can't say enough good about our server Kaylee. She was so sweet and helpful with recommendations about the menu. We wanted to try the Monte Cristo, but unfortunately they were out. I had the Buffalo Chicken Wrap. The sauce, the slaw and chicken on it were perfect! Probably the best chicken tenders I've ever had. Huge portions, and I shared it with my mom. My dad had the chicken and shrimp. He had seasoned fries, which also came with mine, and loaded mashed potatoes on the side. Yumm! For the shrimp, there was an option of fried or grilled. My dad did the grilled and they came on a bed of rice with a nice teriyaki sauce. At the end, Kaylee asked if we wanted drinks to go. My dad is a Diet Coke fiend, so that made his day. She really went the extra mile the entire time we were there. My dad wanted "fry sauce"(I guess this is a thing in Utah? Mayo and ketchup basically). They are probably the only establishment in Utah that doesn't have any, so she made it for him. All in all, just a great experience. Can't wait to come back! read more

Worst Restaurant experience of my life. I will never return, not even to try the Monte Cristo. The reason they are getting 1 star is because they comped our entire meal. If you're interested, here is our tale: We were a group of 10 for a birthday dinner. 6 kids (11 and under) and 4 adults. We put our name on the call ahead-list. We were told it was still first come first served, so regardless of having a "reservation" at 6, we came early, and even then, it took us an hour to be sat, because they took back 4 groups of the same size, before us who came in after us. If we hadn't finally stood up for ourselves, who knows how long it would have taken. Then they seated us in booths across an isle from each other. Which made the group have to split up. Not ok. Service was awful, drink orders were wrong, and never refilled, plates (when we got them) were never bussed. They ran out of the Monte Cristo, which isn't awful but weird. Dinner had just started, and it was the sole reason we were there. It was what the birthday girl wanted. We ordered at the 90-minute mark but didn't get our food for yet another hour! Our kids were actually pretty good and just played with each other. The youngests had been given phones once we realized the food wasn't coming anytime soon. At 2 hours and 20 minutes (we had started a timer), we were finally able to talk to a manager, who apologized profusely, told us he would comp our entire meal and give us a birthday dessert and a dessert for the kids to share. It still took 15 minutes to get our food after that. At this, we were literally one of two groups left in our section, and we finally got our servers' attention, who turned sweet as pie and got us whatever we wanted. The dessert was not worth staying an extra 10 minutes for, but by that time, we were already late to our other event, so why not. We arrived at 5:45 and left at 8:35. Our receipt had a single soda on it so that we could tip, which we did, though I don't know how much because I was seeing so much red it was left to someone else in the group to give it. read more

We had high hopes walking in! Came for lunch on a Monday. The croissant they give you was good! Then I got a side salad which was okay, my sirloin was closer to rare than medium. Forgot the gravy on my mashed potatoes. My husband got fish, it was super rubbery and just not good. And he had carrots in his drink. When we brought it up to the waitress she said she'd grab the manager and when he came out he stared at us like he had no idea (and frankly could care less) why he was needed. The waitress had relayed nothing! Then after we tell him he asks if we want anything else and my husband said "no thanks." So the manager asks if he can get us another drink to SQUARE US UP?! Uh no, my husband had to ask to get one of the meals comped and the manager came out and just stared at us again. Mumbling something we could not understand and then gets short with us! I waitress was fine, manager was awful. Our whole experience very was awful. The Diet Coke was good.....so there's that. Will not be returning. read more

Yummy!! The food was delicious and plentiful. When you arrive the server brings croissants with some honey butter drizzle!! They are crunchy yet soft and oh so delish!!! They food is like homemade .. pot pies, ribs, Monte Cristo Sammie's, soup, salads.. the menu seems to have something for everyone including some gluten free options... We ordered the Steak (medium) and Ribs and lets just say the steak was more like a charcoal brick and the ribs were pretty dry. My son had the herb chicken and it was pretty bland. Wife had the chicken tenders and well they were pretty much the only thing edible. The service was great up to the point we mentioned the issues and then they didnt seem to want to be bothered with it. All in all not even worth ever going back again. We had an absolute great time! Our waiter Cameron has some righteous hair and a spectacular smile. We had the trio for an app and loved their queso, the spinach artichoke dip, the fresh had made salsa, but the star by far were the chicken tenders. Light crispy and tasty breading with perfectly moist chicken. Delicious! We both ordered the double portion of chicken fried chicken and of the quantity of food. Light white cream gravy over a slightly different breading from the tenders, but perfectly cooked. The sides were amazing as well. I had the sweet carrots and they were good, but the star by far were the cheddar broccoli casserole. Took most of our meals home, but looking forward to the leftovers! They also served us two crescent rolls with drizzles of honey butter. They were light as air and oh so good. Quick, pleasant service, a20-30 minute wait for a table in a super busy restaurant and quick, tasty, reasonably priced food. I definitely recommend it and we will come again. read more

Had a very disappointing experience at Cheddar's in Riverdale. We were seated quickly but in an uncomfortable spot in the restaurant's back corner and waited about 20 minutes for service. The puffy, light as a feather croissants came quickly after that and was the best part of the meal. My beer-battered shrimp was thrown haphazardly on the plate with a small blob of mashed potatoes and mushy carrots. The shrimp were cooked through and tender, but the coating was wasn't at all crispy and flavored blandly. My wife's chicken tenders in a salad were crispy, but the meat was dry and the coating tasted nasty, like stale oil. There were also a lot of inedible chunks of Romaine lettuce stems. This is the second disappointing meal I have had there. Should have learned my lesson! read more

Went here for the 1st time for lunch. Not busy at all. The place was freezing cold. Even heard some of the staff complaining. Food was OK. Gathered up 4 bottles of ketchup before I found one that had some in it. Waitress was pretty scarce.​ read more

We were so excited to check this place out. The service and drinks were good. Atmosphere was fine. But The food was slightly below good. My full rack of ribs came out in under 10 minutes and the entirety of the dish was Luke warm. Which makes me think everything was already plated and just warmed up. (Not what I would expect from their branding) The cheese bite appetizer was okay and my husbands Monte Christo was also okay. The cooked carrots were gross and we both felt a little sick to the tummy after eating here. Sad to say we Probably won't be back. read more

Our wait was not too long as we had put ourselves on the waiting list. Waiter started off by listing all the things they were out of including about 5 entrees and the croissants. It was a Monday evening and not very busy so that was weird. We waited about 45 minutes for our entrees but we got appetizers and ordered the kids meals early so it want to bad. We got the Buffalo shrimp to start and I don't know why they are Buffalo because you can't taste any Buffalo sauce, but the texture of the breading was amazing. I got the honey mustard chicken with salad and green beans. Loved the sides but was not a fan of the chicken. My husband got chicken Alfredo and said it was really good. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. Overall it was average. We will try it again though. read more

My first and most likely my last trip here. I ordered the chicken pot pie, my husband ordered a steak. Well, my pot pie was pretty good although the gravy was a bit runny. My husbands Steak however was ordered as med rare, showed up almost med well done. The steak went back and a new one was cooked almost perfectly. Well here comes the kicker. We had to wait after the first steak was placed on the table just to find someone to tell it was not cooked properly. Then by the time his steak came out again... we'll my meal was gone. After the second steak was brought to the table, one of the staff did check to see if everything was ok. Then no one ever checked on us again. No water refills, no bill, I needed a box to take some food home...nothing. I was really surprised.. you have to pay on the little machine sitting on the table. I hate those things, without an option or anyone checking on us I could not figure out how to pay the bill. Never used one before. Sooo I asked one of my friends. I did not look the itemized bill until after I left. And when I did that is when I noticed they charged me for two steaks. The one he sent back and the new one. I had to make an extra trip back to the restaurant to get the second steak removed, which they promptly took care of. This is not a good place for steaks by the way. The chicken pot pie was good, the steak was ok. This was my first time at this restaurant, not very impressed. Side note: I noticed the restaurant has high quality decor and the tables are real wood, nice atmosphere! I was surprised that they don't use real fabric napkins that would be a nice touch. Also noticed that no rolls were served just some not so great croissants, maybe some people love them but it was like getting desert first for me. read more

Waited a while just for someone to take our order and then they just bring one plate of food out so 1 person eats while the rest watch and on top of that they didn't have any of the food we ordered so we had to reorder and they still gave us the wrong food and 25 ish min later the rest of the food show up and Iv been done so now it's my turn to wait and watch.... we were told to call ahead and get on the list, so we did at 3 PM for 5 PM we arrived at 4:45 and checked in. We were told we would be seated shortly at 5:45. We were told 15 more minutes at 6:05. They told us about 20 more minutes! we walked out and won't be back, this place has issues. we also overheard the staff say they couldn't seat any in person customers because they were swamped with DoorDash. wonder if they were waiting three hours too, or just us folks that actually showed up in person for service!!! read more

We waited 45 minutes for a table. When we checked in to see where we were at, they told us we still had 7 people ahead of us. I told her we had already waited 45 minutes and she said they were in the middle of shift change. Then she tells us that they only have 30% of their menu items available. My husband wanted to eat here because the Cheeders chain is his favorite NASCAR drivers sponsor. so we went on a saturday at 5:30 pm. we were told wait time was 45 minutes. we waited about 20 minutes. not bad Our server was Angel. personable, sweet, attentive. even though she was very busy. the place was very very busy. we ordered drinks ( Margaritas) ok, not great. we ordered trio appetizer, spinach dip, chicken tenders and salsa & chips. spinach dip good. Husband ordered loaded fries & deep fried cheese curds. again mediocre. Our guest had bone in rib eye & and steak & shrimp. they stated ok, husband ordered chicken pot pie, the signature dish. he said it was ok. But not a "pie" no bottom crust , top crust only. My meal " jumbo beer batter shrimp" was delivered about 10 minutes after my companions meal. so basically I'm sitting there watching them eat, waiting for my meal. shrimp was NOT Jumbo, barely medium, edible but nothing special. Although our waiter Angel was sweet and attentive, we will probably never eat there again. read more
