By far one of the worst dining experience I've had. My family and I were seated right away, but ended up waiting over an hour before we got our food. Those that came into the restaurant after us, received their food before we did. When we finally received our food, my sister had an hair in chicken Alfredo, and my lemon pepper chicken didn't have the lemon pepper seasoning on it at all. Very dissatisfied with how the waiter and manager handled the situation. My sister ended up waiting another 30 minutes for her food to be remade, myself ended up with no food at all, and with no apologies for my food not being prepared properly. read more

This is perhaps one of my favorite restaurants in Murfreesboro. The food is always good and is at a reasonable price, so good value. The drink I always have, Texas Tea, is made well and worth the money. The staff are friendly everytime I go and make me feel welcome to keep coming back. Came and and ate here tonight and it was not how it used to be. The food came out cold and didn't taste all that good. My boyfriend's green beans had no flavor at all, my mashed potatoes were like soup and my broccoli casserole was ice cold. Our server was slow and anytime we needed anything it took forever for him to bring it. Also I've noticed they keep changing the menu. I've given Cheddar's 2 different chances and I do not plan on a 3rd chance. Absolutely disgusting. I had the key lime chicken and shrimp, my chicken breast was still frozen in the middle and my shrimp was porous. Never received the glass of wine I ordered either. This was my second time here, the first time I went our service was terrible, slow and the manager didn't seem to care to fix it. Will never be back and I advise anyone to do the same. read more

The service is great but the food is horrible the steaks arent cooked well and the chicken alfredo was also not very good. All very bland!

The food was ok.. The place was nasty dirty. The front doors were greasy and the floors were full of crumbs and trash. I would think when they bus the tables they would at least sweep floors. We've been to several different Cheddars an this one is by far the worst one!! We went there cause I was craving their Pear an Chicken Salad an when I got it, the pears weren't fresh like all the other Cheddars, the cider dressing didn't taste right an was drowning the salad, an the greens were wilted an limp no crunch to them what so ever. After telling our waitress she said she would let the manager know. We sat there for 30 additional minutes waiting on her but she never came to us an we never saw our waitress again. Although I can walk to this location from my house almost, I'd rather bypass and eat at the one in Smyrna. The food at the Murfreesboro location is always cold and have at send it back. I always have to ask the lazy waiters/waitresses standing around talking at the bar to pass my food over before spit or hair goes flying in it. Then they give me a blank stare as if they had a problem with me asking for my plate because the bartender is too busy or the chef didn't bother to hollar order up! It just takes to long for them to prep frozen food and serve it on time. Never had this problem at the Smyrna location. Even though it's a drive, I will spend a couple of more dollars in my gas tank for the better service. read more

I selected to go to Cheddars for my birthday. And I made a huge mistake. The waiter we was given clearly knew nothing about his job. We had to pry information out of him. Just to find out what hot teas they offer. Constantly reminding our waiter for condiments for our meals. Not once but two or three times. And he just kept his mask below his nose and adjusting it when he came to our table. Numerously touching his nose. It just grossed me out as he touched items for us to use. My meal was no where close made according to their pictured meal on television and was not eaten. We couldn't even get the waiter to bring out our dessert order for my birthday. After three times requested we just said forget it. I called after leaving so no to make a scene in the store. Spoke to the manager Joni. And she explained she would look into the problem and send something to me to get to patronize the location again. But as of today. Still nothing by mail and it's been 10 days since this horrible dining experience. Cheddars thank you for a horrible birthday dinner. Shame on you read more

My friends and I was celebrating my 33rd birthday this past Sat 1/18/2020. After arriving our waitress was very short with us. We like to take time to look over menu. She took our drink order and insisted we order our food also. We told to give us time and she just snapped andd walked off. I ordered a frozen drink but when I got it, it was not frozen basically water. She was helpful to customers around her but kept walking pass our table as if she didn't wanna serve us. After 20 min she came back took our order and disappeared for another 20 min. Our food was ok but had items missing and she so would roll her eyes and snatch things out of our hands then just disappear. I know it was busy for a sat night but it was manageable in her sections she only had 4 tables including us. I highly don't recommend going here. The manaager came around to the white guests. But NEVER ONCE came and seen if we where okay. The other three tables complained on her and the food. Even though we were treated poorly we decided to still be nice and tip but not return. The second you walk through the door you are greeted by a greeter or one of their hosts. Usually there is not a long wait to be seated, unless you arrive on a Sunday around noon. Once you are seated, your waiter or waitress quickly comes to the table to get your orders started. You will not even wait five minutes. The waiters/waitresses are very respectful and well mannered. They also constantly check with the table to make sure that everything is going well or if you need refills or anything of that sort. The service is excellent. The food is cooked in a timely manner. It is not a very long wait for your food. With that being said, the only problem Cheddars has to offer is the availability of parking spaces. Other than that, it is a great restaurant to attend for a very reasonable price. You will get the quality of food that you want, along with amazing service provided by the staff. read more

Not at auspicious start. The booth they put us in was very narrow. I asked for a different booth, which was better. The atmosphere definitely not one for relaxing dining more akin to a bar type atmosphere. Naturally as soon as we got here they had to set some kids next to us. At least they weren't the small screaming variety. The food seemed to take a while to get here. The food came out. I had the chicken Alfredo, which was quite good. We came to cheddars with 7 people for my sister in laws birthday, as soon as we were sat, I asked the host for a booster seat. She then ran from me, she didnt speak much English but it seemed extremely rude. Waiter seemed nice but he took 20 mins to bring a drink the service was awful and took an unreasonable amount of time. This was one of the WORST meals that I have had in a VERY long time. I ordered the 6 oz top sirloin with mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese. The Mac and cheese was by far the worst I've had. I would've preferred easy microwave Mac and cheese. It tasted like noodles with water. There was no cheese flavor. The steak was not any good, but it was at least edible. The mashed potatoes were decent. Our waiter was nice, but I believe we saw him 3 times in the course of our 2 hour wait. We arrived at 6:00 and didn't get out until 8:00. I understand that it was a Saturday night so it was busy. No big deal. I would've been fine with it if our meal was edible. However, it was not. Always enjoy eating at Chedder's. I believe it's a chain, but the quality and ambiance are very nice, they have a menu with sufficient variety to satisfy most anyone's taste. My wife and I like their salads and soups. Good value and a portion size that, to date, has always satisfied. You can go as a group with meat eaters and vegetarians and satisfy everyone. read more

While I have been to Cheddars multiple times in the past, I haven't been to this location previously, and I haven't been in probably about a year or so. Not because I don't like the food (it's always good), but because in this area there are so many restaurants popping up. Anyway, went to this location for the first time on Friday night. Ordered cheese bites to start (served with marinara that was delicious), and the croissants with cinnamon butter (totally recommend!). Entrees were sirloin with chicken tenders, and the philly cheese steak. Both entrees were also delicious. My main detractor is that since my last visit to any Cheddar location it seems they have been acquired by Darden restaurant group (along with Long Horn, Olive Garden, and a few others), and since that time there is a noticeable decrease in portion size. This can absolutely be a good thing, but it seems like this is likely due to joining a larger corporate group and cracking down on food cost. Totally understandable from restaurant perspective, but noticeably different for people who have been in the past and are returning. I still recommend the restaurant group, as all the food is always prepared as ordered and service is exemplary. read more

Running errands with dogs, we weren't sure we could find a nice pet-friendly place in Murfreesboro, but this is it! We were immediately seated on the patio in shade and a container of water served to the dogs, even before our orders were taken. I personally loved that. We visited tonight and had dinner, the greeter was kind of lounging and talking while we stood there for a moment, we were seated by one of the waiters quickly, I had a hamburger with bacon, my wife and son split the country fried chicken, and my other son had a cheeseburger. The tea was fine, the service was good but my wife was displeased with how soggy the country fried chicken was and the mens bathroom had a real problem with sewer gas. A person could hardly stay in the mens room longer than a couple of minutes, there must have been a break in the sewer line or somehow the sewer gasses were getting in there. It will be a problem until it gets fixed. The decor was kind of Olive Gardenish which is nice. The pricing was affordable and there is plenty of variety in the menu. If we go back and the bathroom is fixed I will change the amount of stars. read more
