Our server Nick was great, his greeting, his presence, his patience was 10 stars! The ambiance of this establishment was great from the minute we walked in the door. Being greeted by the host and manager was a plus. Plenty of smiles and charm. The food was better than some other locations I have visited in the Nashville but not worst. The place was very clean and cool. I don't however like SOOO much air conditioning on me while I'm eating... just me maybe . Overall, I'll be back again. read more

If you've never been, GO!!!! The honey butter croissants are SO flaky and delicious!!!! The waitress was super kind, and all around gave us great service!! The atmosphere was calm and chill. I got the chicken pot pie for lunch with a side salad. The crust on the pot pie was golden, light and flaky in texture. Very good food! My family and I are already talking about what we'd get when we go back! :) read more

I really want to like Cheddars but they make it hard to visit since there are so many options now in MJ. The food is good, but the service has been lacking now for some time. I know employees are hard to find now, but this location has to do better in choosing who they hire. This has been an issue since before COVID. We visited last night and ordered the Salmon dinner and the Chicken Alfredo dinner. The waitress forgot to bring out any croissants (after offering them). She didn't leave any straws for our drinks, and she wasn't very knowledgeable about the menu items. She forgot to include the Grecian bread to the pasta order, and once we finished our dinner, we never saw her again. Managers - please do better and we will be back. read more

Not bad. I had a steak with broccoli casserole and mashed potatoes. Nothing super fancy but for the price it was excellent. Waitress was super nice too. read more

Dine anywhere else in MJ but here. Waiter (Lucky) was nice enough and tried to make up for everything else that was lacking. The family ordered coconut shrimp and cheese curds for an app. Got those pretty quickly, but not hot. In fact, barely warm. Lucky lets us know that the kitchen is understaffed w/ only 2 cooks, so dinner may be awhile. No biggie. We order our entrees and after a few mins, I change my mind from the coconut shrimp meal w/ fries and ask him if I can change my order. He tells me that it's not possible, but I can go ahead and order an additional entre. Dang, ok. I get my coconut shrimp and fries (pretty quickly) and guess what, cold! Hubby's steak was raw and kids meals were cold as well. HOW?! You would think w/ 2 cooks slinging meals as quickly as possible, something from the kitchen would come out piping hot?! We took most of it to go and are hoping our air fryer at home does better on the 2nd reheat. Sad. read more

Yes, it's a chain, but I was pleasantly surprised. Pro's: - It's open later than most - Great for groups - Very reasonably priced, most entrees between $7-$13 - Their portions are generous - The food was better than Shari's, Denny's, Applebee's, and Cracker Barrel. I'd say its just slightly under or at the level of Outback and Claim Jumper Bonus: Great for splitting if you're not too hungry. Con's: - It's a chain :P read more

Ordered a medium rare steak. First steak was beyond well done with no trace of seasoning. Second was raw when it finally came out after other people finished their meals. Walked out without my full meal. Waitress was wonderful and gave the best service she could within her ability. Not ready to give this place a second chance.... I understand places are understaffed but I'm not going to spend money on inedible food. read more

My friend and I came in on a Sunday and ordered our food from the the bartender as a togo order and he was awesome! I felt bad for him because it was super busy and it seemed as if they were understaffed but he was still extremely nice and accommodating. The key west chicken and shrimp was good, and so was the broccoli and cheese casserole. The croissant could've been better, but overall it was a good experience. read more

Very disappointed at the food and service tonight. Appetizers didn't come out. No offer of croissants even when we asked for them. No silverware. Didn't get salads, had to ask for them. Got the app after we finished eating and it looked like it sat in the pass the whole time. No offer to refill drinks. And excuse after excuse on why things were bad. I could understand if was busy but it wasn't. Probably will be a long time before we return. Too many other choices of places to eat just to leave a place hungry still. read more

The service was great but the length you have to wait for food is crazy! We waited around an hour after waiting 30 minutes to be seated. Even after starving and being very hungry the food was just eh. Not the greatest to be very honest. On this day I had the top sirloin steak and tenders combination but I feel like I 100% could cook these much better at home. The only good thing about this visit was the croissant and I will repeat 1!! Croissant they give you read more

We've been here more than a handful of times and I've never written a review. I've had to complain to management in the past about service and servers and food, and we always seem to come back every 6 months or so...and I'm certainly glad we did tonite! Excellent service!! We had 2 servers, 1 in training, and she was AWESOME! Our appetizer came out fast, followed by salads and then meals. I asked for my (alcoholic) drink to be made without all of the fru-fru stuff and that's exactly how she brought it! Our table was pre-bussed, which I LOVE when the waitstaff does that, and just very attentive to our needs! Food was delicious and hot! Thanks y'all for making us love Cheddars UPDATE: 3/13/19 So.....they DO NOT HAVE Thousand Island Salad Dressing! Shouldn't a "scratch" kitchen carry Thousand Island? How "Un-American" can you get?!? Also, the honey mustard dressing is more of a honey Dijon dressing, very spicy, also the house salad apparently now comes without eggs, bummer. Table NOT pre-bussed, service slow. What a difference a visit makes. It'll be awhile before we're back again. Sorry Cheddar's, taking that 4 star rating down... read more

A family friendly place, similar to applebees, easy to order online for a larger family. Some of the food we got looked like it was tossed around, flavor not bad but, food handling not good. You a getting present. Our croissants were squished, yet delicious but crushed. I mean i get being busy but this was kindof ridiculous. Again food is basic and i cant hate in them, my pasta salad was more salad than pasta, my husband hand the jambalaya pasta which was good. The rest of the family had kids meal and combo plate type dish again food was basic and hot our tummy's full. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE HERE. Our waiter was so rude; he was rushing us through the order process, very disinterested in us. He then comes back to the table and says there's no green beans ready? We had to order something else. We both had ordered the vegetable plate. I had to order the seasoned rice instead of green beans as one of the sides. The order finally got to the table with the different sides not even matched correctly to each of our orders. The rice was absolutely disgusting. Clumpy and cold. We were then told the Broccoli Cassarole was "not ready yet". It was delivered to the table when we were done eating. The potato soup put one of us at urgent care WITH FOOD POISONING. We know that is what it was by urgent care confirmation and the only thing the two of us ate differently was this soup. TRAVELERS BEWARE DO NOT EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT UNLESS YOU WANT A TRIP AND BILL FROM URGENT CARE AND TO BE UP ALL NIGHT THROWING UP AND HAVING MASSIVE DIARRHEA. This is fair warning for locals too. RUINED one full day of limited time of house hunting. read more

The service is usually good, we like the divided booths to keep down noise so we are able to talk to those at our booth. The chicken pot pie is the best, fried chicken tenders are a close 2nd. We go to Cheddar's at least monthly. read more

My family and I went to go grab some lunch and the hostess was pretty rude. The restaurant was pretty much empty and she said she had no where to sit us down, she went to go check came back and looked at us and kinda gave us an attitude and said "are you guys going to need a high chair" considering we had a 1 yr old and we said yes, so she seemed frustrated and proceeded to tell us again that she had no where to sit us down. We felt a little discriminated by the way she handled the situation. read more

They never disappoint! I absolutely love the way I'm greeted when I come here...they hold the door and I'm always seated fairly quick. I did my usual spinach dip as an appetizer. I had to come get some tender ribs and grilled shrimp. I ordered Mac and cheese and the waiter informed me that they changed the recipe and noodles they use. No big deal. I didn't care for the flavor tho. My salad was great as always (love their ranch) I had a Bahama mama mixed drink it was delicious an the right amount of alcohol. My waitress was super great...I hate I don't remember her name. read more

Big mistake...thought for sure Cheddars would have a soup on the menu, no...ordered steak with onions because they dont have mushrooms. Got four strands of onions. Ask for medium, got mw... servers were arguing about tables, server forgot my drink twice, walked to the bar and got my coke zero myself. Tiny, tiny portions, a monkey dish half full of corn, monkey dish of well done green beans...5o steak, ordered 8oz...but that's debatable. Maybe Cheddars should only do take out until covid is over. read more

Rob was fantastic! Best server we've had, he deserves a raise, quick and communicative. The croissant with honey butter 10/10! Let me say first, the service and staff were great. The restaurant was clean as far as our booth. The biggest disappointment was the food, it was not good. I only eat fish and vegetables so the only real option was the fish dinner. The fist had no flavor and wasn't hot nor were the fries that I ordered either. The Cole slaw was frozen. Yuck! The other three people were not happy with their meals either. The wait was the worst part trying to do lunch for an hour is not recommended, too slow. A week later another coworker went there and her grilled chicken was raw and her macaroni and cheese was also frozen. This is not a made from scratch kitchen if food is frozen and tastes unseasoned. Sad to say we won't be back. read more

This place has gone drastically downhill in the last few years. We went last night for dinner and waited over 45 minutes to be sat and then waited another 30 minutes because the kitchen was understaffed. I used to love Cheddar's, but my last few visits there were very underwhelming. They should really look into limiting their hours of operation locally or changing the way they do business because disappointing dozens of people a day in Mt. Juliet is not a sustainable way to stay open. read more

Waiter was very personable and efficient. Unfortunately for him, he's working with a kitchen which is sub- par. Queso dip appetizer was served with a few chips but mostly crumbs of chips... who does that!? And why? The bacon cheeseburger was very overcooked and served on a stale bun... so stale it was ridiculous! Husband's ribs were good but coconut shrimp was dry. Always willing to give something new a try...never again! Disappointed read more

Cheddars used to be good before covid. After covid the service was slow and food was just ok. Good variety in kids menu though. I had the ribs which was good. The table ordering tablet was confusing. This was our first time at a Cheddar's and we're glad we came here for lunch. Service was decent, but nothing over the top. The food was good though and was very, very affordable, which is a plus. We would probably come back for lunch, but wouldn't go out of our way to come here. read more

Worst meal ever! No silverware was given, table next to us was nicer cleared during our 60 minute visit, pasta that came with chicken parm was overcooked, and then served dried out, along with the cheese that was at one point melted, but not when served. Chicken tenders tasted awful, fries were hard and lukewarm. Service was less than desirable. Gross! No plans to ever return. read more

I don't like giving negative reviews but this restaurant is truly deserving of it. I wish I could comment on the food but my fiancé and I never got to even try it. We showed up on a Sunday afternoon and stood at the hostess station for well over five minutes with no hostess in sight. Bar staff were of no help. Very blunt and exasperated. When the hostess finally showed up we were told there was a 30 minute wait for a two person table. No apology for the wait at the hostess station. We left out of frustration. As a former waiter I know from experience that you need to make contact with customers early and often. Cheddars lack of staff at this location on what was evidently a busy evening means that this is a poorly managed location. I would advise caution to anyone planning to eat here - if it took five minutes for a hostess to contact us, how often do you think wait staff refill drinks or check on your order? Regardless, this has soured me about Cheddars, which is unfortunate due to the fact that they are a chain and I travel a fair amount. I will not be visiting any of their other locations as I want to feel welcome and at home when I go out to eat. I did not get that feeling from Cheddars in Mt Juliet. read more

I am not one to leave negative reviews, but due to our experience at cheddars last night I want to warn other people. If I could leave 0 stars I would. We came in last night for dinner with 4 adults. The restaurant was virtually empty, but for some reason we barely could get any service throughout our visit. When we got sat, the table was dirty and we had to sweep out crumbs and trash from our booth. The server had no knowledge of any of the cocktails and seemed like she couldn't be of help at all for anything on the menu. It took 15 minutes to get a beer and two cocktails. Again, the restaurant was basically empty. Once our food finally came out it was all lukewarm at best... the chips and queso were the worst part (which was the easiest food item we got...). We got the bottom of the bag chips where they were in tiny pieces, couldn't even dip in the queso. The queso was hard to the touch. We had to send it back twice just to get a non solid queso. We all ended up leaving about half our food because it did not taste right. My fiancé and I got super sick last night from our chicken. Still in recovery from the food poisoning. All in all, the service was terrible, the food was terrible, there was nothing pleasant about our experience whatsoever. Avoid at all costs. read more

People I don't usually post reviews much on chain restaurants. I have to say their chicken pot pie is really good. My top few items I enjoy at Cheddar's is there spinach and artichoke dip, and the Montecristo. They really do those items well. Their service is good and consistent every time I'm there. We usually like to sit at the bar because it's quick and easy we don't come that often but it's a steady contender on our restaurant list. read more

This place was as expected from my last visit, below average. The steak we ordered was rare and I ordered medium rare and it was laced with silver skin fat .. just bad. If you're not going to put USDA or Prime steak on the menu then just don't serve a steak.. My wife and our girls had fries.... all were cold. When I sent the steak back I said let's just scratch the re heat on the steak and let's just get the burger and fries to go... as expected fries were cold again. It so disappointing. And more so is that the waiter worked hard and covered for the understaffed kitchen and bad food. You'll lose him eventually.... CHEDDARS You have to decide if you're in it to win it or just happy to scoot along in this crappy zone. You've got good bones... decor is good. And the place is warm and cozy, but the food is not good. read more

I have to say that this Cheddar's is like an average 3 and a half star with other restaurants in Mount Juliet. Their service at Cheddar's is decent, but it's not like the best service in the world. Their Chicken Tender Platter requires like two people to eat it. Their health rating is pretty average to what other restaurant chains have. The good thing about Cheddar's is that their food sometimes come out either warm or nice and warm whenever I order the chicken pot pie. I figured out that the Chicken Pot Pie comes out straight from the oven to serve other people. The bad thing is that their service is a little slow and it feels like waiting for my food for hours. I know the one time when I ordered my food, my broccoli came out and I realized that somebody didn't get rid of the plastic wrap from the kitchen. I mean cmon, really? Trust me, I usually don't get served like that. It like never happens to me, until just about 4 days ago. Overall, the employees and staff are pretty nice whenever I come here (I don't go to Cheddar's that often really). That's what I call an average Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen. read more

Stopped in and had the Monte Cristo Sandwich. I used to like getting these at another chain that is no longer in business, but I have to say the one at Cheddar's is the best I've ever had.
