Came in on a weekday around 2, they weren't that busy but service seemed like it was the peak of their busy times. Bartender and waiter were both servicing us. There are lots of food choices. My hubby went with the jalapeño burger and fries and I chose the veggie plate. Veggie plate came with house salad and 4 sides. Salad was a good size, with a buttered croissant. Ranch dressing is very watery vs other dressings. Salad filled me up, so didn't eat much of my veggie plate. Ordered red beans and rice, black beans, carrots, and broccoli. Black beans were listed as homemade, which was black beans with pico. They were all just ok. You do get a lot of food for the money, and it's very affordable. Drinks are pricey, flavored tea was $3.00. Not worth it, it's just sweet tea with a splash of flavoring. Service was not impressive, very little contact and two different people serving us. The group behind us had to go get their own silverware. So it wasn't just us feeling the lack of quality service. The food was just ok. Usually this place as a huge wait. Lots of seating options both inside and out. Being a foodie, this wasn't worth the time and food was nothing special and the lack of service made it easy for us not to see the value of returning any time soon. read more

REVIEW UPDATE: i was contacted by private message for me to call the GM of the restaurant Patrick. So, i called last Tuesday (a week ago) morning and he was in a meeting, which is his job...i left my name and number for him to call me back. He called me later in the day...we talked and i told him my experience and he offered for me to come back and was going to send me a gift card to try it again. I have yet to see that card. He also told me when i come back tell the servers who i am and they would see to me. Ummmm i can take that 2 different ways...1. messing with my meal and making sure i get sick OR 2. making a lunch much better. WHY would i come and tell them who i was?? I have to start out by saying I rarely ever ever review anything. I'm just not that type of guy, however I feel this deserves a review and 5 stars. My buddy and I came down to the truck show, we found this place to eat. We got seat right away, got our drinks and ordered. However our food never came. Never came. We waited finally our server came to us and said that somehow our ticket got misplaced and they are working on it. At first we were irritated but I mean we're human who wouldn't be. We were hungry, and we waited partly over a hour. Our food came out it and it was very good. After we finished our meal, they server came back up to us and asked if we needed anything and we just politely asked for our checks so we could get back to hotel. At this poi t she told us the bill was taken care of due to the long delay and ticket being misplaced. Wow. What a great way to take care of customers. Worst food and service ever! Salads came out 30 minutes after ordered, And we were given plastic silverware as they could not find any silverware in the whole restaurant. Our queso managed to struggle out of the kitchen 45 minutes after we ordered it. My daughters croissant never did make it to the table, but they were on my bill. Waited over 1 1/2 hours for lunch. Three other tables that came in after we were seated were served before us. When our lunch finally arrived, my salmon was stone cold and hard as the table we were sitting at. The manager finally came over, took the plate, and never said a word. Just walked back to the kitchen. Crappiest experience ever at a Cheddar's. Definitely will not be back. Worst experience I've ever had at a cheddars. Only descent part of the meal was the actual entree. We sent back drinks to the bar twice because they were mixed awful (over poured). I Had to go to the bar myself to get limes for my last margarita that were dry as dust to the squeeze before sending it back as well. Finally I was delivered a sprite that was over carbonated and out of syrup in place of my alcoholic beverage. By the last bites of my meal I received a suitable to drink beverage. We called to place a to go order. We had to call 3x and wait 35 minutes to place our order. We then were told it would take 30-40 minutes for the food to be ready. This is simply too long for a to go order. I think they must be majorly understaffed. read more

Stopped in one night with a friend. Was a little worried because it was 6pm, but we were seated immediately. Waiter was very patient as we took our time visiting before ordering. My family and I went here yesterday and had a bad experience and meal. Our server, Chelsea, was inattentive and relayed no information. We arrived around 12:50 and were seated around 1:20 with a party of four. That's an average wait time for Sunday after church for most restaurants. From the moment we sat down Chelsea paid us little attention. We ordered an appetizer and it arrived after 25 minutes. We ordered the entrees at the same time we ordered the appetizer, however she came back after fifteen minutes and asked how we wanted the burgers cooked then walked to the entry station to key it in. You could see as we were sitting next to the Station. Five minutes after the appetizer arrived we still had no plates so I got up and found two to-go boxes and ripped them in half so everyone would have a plate. After we were done we flagged down Chelsea and asked about the plates and she said they must be out. Now keep in mind they opened less than three hours before our appetizer hit the table and four tables near us received plates after us. We received our entrees around 2:20 after we flagged down Chelsea and asked her for an update on our food. She said she guessed they were busy but it should be out soon. Three tables near us were seated after us and received their food before us and were done eating before we received ours. We had two hamburgers, a chicken finger dinner, and a chicken finger/rib dinner. The burgers were both burnt. All the chicken was borderline undercooked with that chewiness you get from raw chicken. The ribs had almost no sauce on them. The broccoli was dry and the baked potato had no flavor. My daughter asked for a water to go as we were putting on our coats. Chelsea went to get it. She came back and walked past us and took the order of the table next to us. She left and came back to drop off drinks at another table walking past us twice. My daughter asked her again and she went to get it. After four more minutes she returned with the water and we left. There was no manager presence on the floor and even though other servers seemed to have their stuff together ours did not. This experience has really turned us off Cheddar's. read more

I'm judging Cheddar's as a casual restaurant chain, comparable to an Olive Garden, Applebee's, etc. I was inclined to dislike the experience, because the woods near my house were removed to build it. That being said, this Cheddar's is my favorite restaurant in this category because of its atmosphere and value. The inside is spacious, well-lit and well-decorated. The service was fantastic. The most attractive part of Cheddar's was the price. I got a delicious salmon meal for cheap, and I enjoyed being in that space. I didn't feel hurried or neglected like at some other chain restaurants. It's a great place for Okolona people to eat out well for cheap. read more

This was our first time to this establishment. It took an hour to order and receive our entire meal. The staff delivered two meals to our table 10 minutes prior to the rest of our group receiving our orders. The food was extremely salty not too mention extremely slow. I arrived at the Cheddars early on a Tuesday. It was the always important business lunch and I was not about to disappoint by selecting the nearby Jimmy Johns. We started with a crowd pleaser, the chips and queso. I found the chips to be a bit on the greasy side, with a strong presence of sodium kernels. The cheese dip itself hinted at a time from the old tex-mex days. Light pepper spice notes gave way to cheesy goodness. The menu provided ample dining experiences, from the always reliable burgers to the smokehouse style of baby back ribs. I opted for the jalapeno burger, with fried jalapeno's and a spicy chipotle mayo. The meat was cooked to order, medium well (as required by the Cheddars kitchen team). I found the buns to be buttery and the meat well seasoned. The mayo and peppers added a kick to the pants! Really awful! I'm surprised because I've always enjoyed the Cheddar's in Lexington. The Louisville Outer Loop location is dirty. We were a group of 20 that called ahead. They separated us into booths never telling us that they cannot seat 20 together. The staff were rude. When my order came, it was incorrect. The Salmon with bourbon glaze was tasteless. The broccoli casserole had a weird taste and was mostly melted cheese with broccoli stems. I will not be going back. read more

This venue in Louisville, Kentucky had me at Welcome to Cheddar's after being away from the DC area for a week. Our group had a brief wait in the bar area and we enjoyed cocktails along with great conversation with the locals. Kentucky is the south and we enjoyed the warm felling of welcome to our town while enjoying the cocktails made to order. Our wait was longer than expected and the management made sure we were compensated for our wait with appetizers. The wait staff reminded me of how attention to detail really matters. Every time our drinks were half full we had another drink placed in front of us from another staff member. Our food was delivered together at once and everyone enjoyed their selections. Mind you the selections were shared by the staff as they recommended nearly everything on the menu. We actually closed the restaurant and bar on this day. I highly recommend visiting this venue as we where looking to dine at the restaurant across the street (Texas Roadhouse). Crazy crowded. Were told the machines were down and we won't be seated unless we had cash on us. 5 hostesses standing around, doing nothing, stupid busy and loud! No waiting room in the waiting area. Stood outside in the December cold with other freezing people. Waited 45 minutes for a table. The hostess seated us at a table with a a piece of bacon laying on it. My sister asked the hostess if she could get someone to wipe it down. Someone did. After we were seated no waiter ever came over to us. I noticed all the people around us needed refills. After waiting 20 minutes my friend went and got a manger and made him take our drink order and appetizer. The man brought the drinks. FINALLY another 10 minutes a waiter came over and took our food order. After 30-40 minutes my friend went and tracked down another manager and was like, our appetizer never came. He brought it out in 2 minutes and gave it to us for free to soften the blow because our food came out at the exact same moment. I don't know what's going on at this place but you might have to wait forever for your food and be forgotten about twice and have to ask two managers about your appetizer. Don't come hungry. Went to the Outer Loop Cheddars around 3:00 pm today (Sunday). There were plenty of options for seating. The hostess placed my husband and I crowded in the middle of 3 family of 7 all sitting at 6 top booths. Chairs were in the aisles and at least 4 kids were at each booth. I'm all about kids, but we had come from a funeral and were not in the mood for being surrounded by 2 year olds while we ate. We asked hostess if she could set us at another table not surrounded by so many people (I personally saw 6 different suitable options.) and she stated "No, I cannot. This is your only option. The other areas are not being used at this time." Obviously they were being used because other folks were sitting there. Instead of arguing our case we left and are giving our gift cards for Cheddars to a family we know with a ton of rowdy children. Oh... we also checked out the possibility of sitting in the bar area and almost every table had young children sitting at the tables in the bar. We'll never go back. read more

My boyfriend and I visited the restaurant around 9pm on 01/02/19. We seated ourselves in the bar area (a booth along the windows along the patio; next to the door leading to the patio). We sat there for about 5+ minutes before our waitress came to the table. She walked past us several times to go to the table right behind us and never acknowledged us to say she'll be with us shortly or anything. When she finally came to our table, she just slid the menus on the table - did not greet us, give us her name or anything. She just stood there with her notebook and pen. So we gave her our order. In about 5 minutes or less, she brought our meal out to us. We were stunned because that was a very short time for the food to be prepared. My boyfriend and I both ordered the Key West Chicken and Shrimp meal. My food was fine, however, my boyfriend's chicken was cold. Our waitress never came back to our table, so we had to ask the waitress from another table if she could help us with the cold chicken. The other waitress (I did not get her name) put the chicken back on the grill and brought it back out to us when it was ready. Meanwhile, our waitress still NEVER came out to check on us. She never asked us if we needed more water (which we did), never asked us about our food, nothing at all. This was the WORST service I have ever experienced at any Cheddars location and I visit Cheddars very frequently at different locations. I did not have time to speak with a manager during our visit because we were on my boyfriend's lunch hour. My receipt says that the server's name was Alexis M (which we did not know because she never told us her name). She looked like she may have been exhausted from the day. Worst experience for lunch ever. 2 hours on a Thursday afternoon at 3 pm No crowd at all. Just laziness. Our waitress was only interested in the couple across from us who were obviously her friends since, she sat in the booth with them and put her arm around the lady. Everything we asked for took forever to get there while she visited at the table with her friends every time she was in the area. I gave a one because I cannot give a zero! This place was awful! There was a 20 minute wait on a table on the patio even though every table was empty. There was food sitting on the patio tables from previous patrons for the entire hour and a half we were there. There was food sitting in all the bar area tables that needed to be bussed for that entire time frame as well. I ordered a steak medium rare-it came out so well done that it resembled a four day old hamburger. My rice was cold and when I told the waitress she just said "oh sorry" and proceeded to take it back. I ended up having to get the re-order to go because it took so long. Every restaurant that I have ever been to a manager ALWAYS comes to the table if something is wrong and theres never made it our table. When I called to speak with him he was very rude and just basically said sorry and if you feel like you deserve a gift card you can call corporate! Awful! We checked Cheddar's Casual Cafe website for the restaurant hours before we went there. Their website clearly says that the restaurant is open from 11 am to 12 pm on Fridays. We arrived there Friday night at 11:05 pm, starving and thirsty, after a long bowling, and while the restaurant was still open (a few customers were inside), they did not let us in saying they are closed, since their kitchen is closed!
