A group of us dined in and sat with Alex. We were greeted immediately and Alex who was very attentive the entire time, even as needy as we were, which we apologized for in advance. We started with an order of corn bread and fried green tomatoes. The cornbread was served with Sorghum butter which I wasn't a huge fan of however I've been dreaming about those Fried Green Tomatoes ever since. They were served on top of Pimento Cheese, and covered in what seemed like a Chipotle sauce and as well as corn. They were fried to perfection, and the tomatoes were crisp. One of my friends got the deviled eggs which were also really good! I ordered their version of an espresso martini which I also wasn't a fan of, 10 / 10 don't recommend if you prefer them with real espresso so I switched to beer. It was a Thursday and they have a ton of TVs along with the Sunday ticket to watch Football so we were able to sit outside and watch the game which was nice. For my meal I got an order of 5 Chicken tenders and a basket of wedges to share. The chicken tenders were hand breaded, juicy and delicious!! I also got a few of the dipping sauce to try as well which were buffalo ranch, honey mustard, ranch and Jalapeño ranch and they were all really good and could tell they were homemade. The wedges were seasoned and were served with Chili Crunch Aioli which was fire! I also got to try the Mac and Cheese which was also really tasty! I visited here on a Friday afternoon when I was in the area. I got the chicken tenders and cornbread. Both were phenomenal. I must say. The chicken tenders were large. They came with a pickle and pizza bread and it was really tasty. I must say. Also, the cornbread was big and well priced the waitress Gave me my food was really nice. Dirty bird is quite new so I decided to pay them a visit. This is a concept heavy environment lots of faux rustic vibes, complete with a sweet old low rider hot rod truck, old time cigarette signage on the walls. Metal chairs and plastic cups like you're at a ballpark or an outdoor concert. The cups are small creating a refill centric environment. Speaking of music they are at some point offering live music, but not on this night.. the staff was young and dressed to maximize cuteness I suppose. I was more interested in the chicken. I ordered the half chicken, wedges app and five tenders for good measure. After about 20 minutes the half chicken and wedges came out .. no tenders ... me and wife were sharing but if we were not this would have been an issue as the tenders didn't come out for another 25 minutes. The sauces were honey mustard, jalapeño, ranch, and Alabama white lightning. The wedges came with an unknown dipping sauce and overall I would not suggest them, strange texture overall very mediocre. The chicken on the bone tasted good but lots of pinkness near the center with some bloody bones. The tenders were pretty good but nothing mind blowing. We left not feeling so hot. My husband and I stopped in on a Saturday for a late lunch and we left very impressed! The atmosphere is so fun and the service was fast, informed, and super friendly. We started with the Smoked Up Fish Dip which was a really good portion and served with baguette slices and crackers. I enjoyed it but I would definitely try a different starter next time (there's so many on the menu to try!) We then moved on to the star of the show-the fried chicken. Get it dirty style (basically kinda cajun-ish, maybe?) and enjoy! It's fried so well and is absolutely delicious. We also got the mac and cheese which is in a skillet so you know it was killer and the truffle corn. Beware that it is definitely truffle heavy so if that's not your thing, choose something else! We will 100% be back. They have an excellent outdoor area and I can see spending many a summer afternoon here. read more

Overall, I was really impressed on opening day with the robust and well executed menu despite lack of alcohol license. The theming and service enhanced the experience. FOOD: Deez nuts (duck fat fried nuts) were tasty and would be great accompaniment at the bar if you were just having a beer. Deviled eggs were solidly ok. Corn muffin with sorghum butter was liked by most of the table (just not my thing). Our server highly recommended the smoked fish dip and it was fantastic! Our entrees included the short rib sandwich (which was devoured before I could try it), but the fried chicken sando was great. Lovely brioche bun with a very thick piece of chicken that was fried perfectly. They have tons of sauces, so would try one next time. Chicken pot pie takes a little longer to arrive as they are made to order - the pastry was crisp and flaky, chicken was well seasoned, but it could use a little more sauce. The sides we tried all had bacon, so our crew loved them but caution if vegetarian/halal/kosher. Mac n cheese was great, sweet potato with lots of marshmallows was a hit with kids. The corn was unique - bacon, chives and truffle butter. DRINKS: they have Pepsi products and also some intriguing homemade syrups to create a dirty soda. Interesting mocktails. Still awaiting a liquor license but the bar program looks promising. My husband didn't love his root beer bc it was more of a craft sarsaparilla. I had the lemony picklet "bawk-tail" which was strangely sweet and sour - their house Meyer lemonade + pickle and cucumber juice. ATMOSPHERE: everything is tongue in beak here. Lots of dirty jokes, vibes of a roadhouse and promises of bands and karaoke to come. There is a covered patio and garage doors that will make this a happening spot in warm weather. The restrooms are worth checking out! SERVICE: our server offered excellent recommendations and food arrived promptly. We ate around 1pm so it was likely after the lunch rush, things weren't super busy. read more

We went to Dirty Bird today. There were a total of 6 people when we walked in. Our server Damon was funny, quick and very pleasant. We got an apple pie cider & a sir mix alot. The cider was as expected. The Dur Mix a lot was delicious, fruity but a little heavy on the sweet. Nothing a little club soda couldn't fix, but very drinkable. I ordered the Peter Pecker Pot Pie & a side of grits. The hubs ordered wings with chili crisp sauce & a side of ranch & the dirty Mac & cheese. It came out really quickly. My pot pie was crusty, creamy & very tasty. The grits were outstanding as they were served with browned butter making them salty, nutty, creamy and absolutely delicious The hubs opted for bare wings with 2 sauces which melded pretty well together. The Mac & cheese by itself was really good but was too much as a dirty option. Too much ranch, I think if the ranch was on the side it would have been better over all. We didn't finish everything but ordered chocolate cake to split. It was probably the best chocolate cake from a restaurant I've ever had We will definitely be back and will bring friends. read more

Slid in and the place was pretty unique. I think it has tons of potential with the unique menu. Everything has a twist. Once they get liquor license thing figured out I can definitely see this being a go to hidden gem!...I like the breading on the wedges and the tenders. read more

We tried Dirty Bird for lunch today and the service was very good as was the food. Due to the snow we didn't have to wait to be seated which was great but it seems as though they're using the front porch type area as the waiting space. It took us a bit to decide on what to order but our server JJ was very helpful with recommendations and answering questions for us about the menu. I had the "Dead Hooker" fish sandwich and a side of the charred corn and both were very good. The fish sandwich had great flavor but could have used something else. The fish was thick and the breading was crispy but the tartar sauce was too minimal and overall the sandwich was a tad dry. It could maybe use a slaw topper or some pickles or something. Definitely some extra tartar sauce would be in order! The corn was delicious. It was sweet and smoky with bacon in it. I would definitely order that again. One of my daughters had the fish also and she enjoyed it but the Mac and cheese wasn't her cup of tea. It was bland and a bit dry. The other daughter had the chicken tenders and she loved them. My husband had the bone in white meat chicken dirty style with mashed potatoes and he enjoyed that as well. We will definitely visit again. I will tell you that if you're not ok with some ..."crude"? Humor this might not be the place for you. They even have a PG-13 rating sign on the door to warn parents about their concept before you enter so that you can decide if you're comfortable bringing kids into the restaurant. The missionary chicken is bland beyond I mean flavorless like just flour. The Mac and cheese at least has cheese again bland how about a little pepper maybe. I threw the collard away spit out the bite it's in the trash. I ate the potato wedges they were only thing I found palatable. I guess they haven't workout the refinements. Went there around 1pm for lunch with my grandkids. The wait process was confusing. They had over 25 people wait in an area that could have easily been an eating space. I listened to the young host tell every person walking in that the wait was 35 minutes. I knew that couldn't be accurate. We waited almost an hour. Finally got to order food .They didn't have lemonade , the waitress said they didn't have time to make it. The sweet tea I ordered tasted like unsweetened tea, the waitress said someone must forgot to add the sugar. Some random cook looking guy brought our food out , I asked for some side dishes to share the shareable sides we ordered, plates came another 10 minutes later. I got a single side of the greens, the dish was less than half full. I totally understand it's a new location and there are things to "get right" , but should that really be at the cost and burden of the paying customers? Overall the food was just ok. Mac and cheese was super dry. It wasn't worth the almost 2 hour wait from walking in to food on the table. Table service was decent when she was there. The parking is horrendous. The people running upfront don't have a clue what they're doing. called a day ahead to see if I needed reservations for 8 people. I was told that I did not.Got there told wait was 15-20. Waited 30 minutes no update. Went to ask what was going on was told it would be a while 40 plus minutes bc they had messed up different bigger parties. Definietly was looking forward to having my birthday dinner here. Dirty bird has great potential in being a very good local restaurant. Even though they just opened up there are always some kinks to work out in every new establishment. Service: The service was very good and everyone was very inviting and wanted to make sure everyone's needs were met. My waitress Brittany did such a great job making sure we had everything we needed and also checked up on us numerous of times. Food: I like the concept of what the menu is going for and what they are trying to do unique from others. There is always some tweaking that needs to be done to recipes. We ordered the fish dip which tastes good but I would have love to have more of that Smokey salmon flavor. I also think I received the wrong item as well. The chicken tenders could you a little more work at flavor and presentation wise. There was a little bit of flavor in some of the tenders then the rest. Honey mustard I could tell was house made and had a great flavor. The grits were the perfect texture but could use more seasoning and the mushrooms as well. The Mac and cheese has a great concept but would have loved a little bit more cheese, seasoning, and creaminess. The Asian persuasion sandwich, I love the flavors but it was too hard to eat. The chicken cutlet was too thick would love to see a slight thinner pounded out cutlet to hold everything on the sandwich. Kimchi has potential and good flavor but needs a little work. Atmospheres: I live the spot and the atmosphere that they are trying to do. I love reading all the signs on the wall. Also I can tell they are going to have a good cocktail selection based on how the bar is setup. Unfortunately went on a day to where they didn't have their liquor license yet.
