Wow! This was my first time at a Cheddar's. The food was amazing!!! I ordered a Cesar salad, salmon, baby carrots and corn (off the Cobb). The salmon comes on rice but I don't like rice so I just got it without it. You don't get to substitute anything for it. The entree already comes with two sides. You can add a salad for an additional charge. Everything I ate was great! My guy had a sirloin steak, broccoli and baby carrots. His steak looked really juicy and tender. I really like steamed broccoli but too many times I've gone to restaurants and tell them to cook it longer because I like it really soft. I always get it back still hard so I stopped ordering it. One of our local favorites. Prices are very reasonable. Service is friendly and usually pretty fast. Food is yummy and menu has a wide variety of choices. The drink menu has something for everyone. I love the Spiked Lemonade and the Texas Tea. They don't take reservations so if you have a large party make other arraignments. The dessert menu is small but what they do have is enough for me. We came back in tonight after that sent us a egiftcard..... needless to say it was just as bad... we were there for 2 hrs took our food to go bc I didn't feel like sitting there anymore. My husbands steak was remade twice! Still wasnt cooked correctly so we left he said he didnt want the food anymore. A very pleasant surprise! The service was outstanding. The food was very, very good. Of note, the complimentary croissant appetizer was wickedly good. We both ordered salmon, her blackened in salad and mine grilled as an entree. Excellent! Another surprise... the broccoli and baby carrots were better than the salmon! That is a first for me. We traveled all day and couldn't wait to do a take out order from Cheddar's. We called and twice was put on hold. After 10 minutes of being on hold my husband was so mad he made me hang up! This restaurant has been a favorite of mine for years but tonight we had possibly the worst meal ever!! The server was great and did his Best but after being told at the 30 minutes mark our food would be right out at the 45 minute mark we were told there was a large party in front of us and we should get our food soon. Once it finally arrived my husbands Buffalo tenders were soggy and inedible. The red beans and rice looked like they had been scraped off the bottom of the pan and were cold, fries were also cold,. Told the server how unhappy we were and instead of sending a manager over he just brought the check as though everything was ok. We went in for a late lunch around 2. They were fairly busy but plenty of empty tables. My meatloaf was excellent. They did the wrong chicken for Deb but they were quick to correct it. Service is friendly and knowledgeable. The main reason I am giving it a 3 instead of a 4 is the fact I now have to buy bread. They have it on the app menu for 2.99. The ambiance is very casual, in fact, a couple of coworkers who were with me ended up eating at the bar to watch Sunday night football. According to my coworker, the beer is great here, although I'm not sure which beer he was drinking. I ordered the bourbon glazed salmon, which was a recommendation from our waitress. The salmon was good, juicy, but the bourbon sauce was a bit on the salty side. I had steamed broccoli which helped clear my taste buds from the salty bourbon sauce. French fries were thick cut and again on the salty side. I'll definitely try this place again and pick something else from the menu that may not be too salty. Key West chicken and shrimp...now that caught my attention! I love Key West and luckily this dish delivered a small slice of yummy! It was seasoned with just a hint of spice and was on a bed of rice. Okay, so I tend to be very harsh on restaurants that serve up a zillion different dishes. And I don't go to these kinds of restaurants often. But like with the Cheesecake Factory last time, I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Shepherd's Pie, and although it was slightly salty (although I love salty) it was very good. At the same time, it's pretty hard to mess up veggies/meat and mashed potatoes. And the chicken pot pie another person ordered looked DELICIOUS. I must try those next time, along with some sort of honey butter croissant they have. Like an elderly person, my taste buds and preferences are changing.. Literally after the first bite I heard Angels singing from on high... It could have also been a hallucination brought on by the butter topping goodness. - They have a neat aquarium by the front entrance. Kids were gathered around watching the fish. (Parents, don't let your kids slap the sides of the aquarium. It's not good for the fish and just shows you raised werewolves and not kids.) - Salmon was good and well cooked/prepared, however it didn't have much taste. My wife had tilapia which tasted incredible. - As we were on a mini-vacation we went for the chocolate fudge, cake, ice cream, thingy. OMG ANGELS! I heard Angels. and then I passed out. Seriously, it was very very very larger. It can easily feed 2-4 people. Do Not order this by yourself. You will O.D. on cake. I am not joking. Was needing some good home cooking. The atmosphere here is relaxed for sure. Got the country fried chicken with mashed potatoes and the broccoli and cheddar casserole. Portions are more than i could eat and tasty. Breading on the chicken was nice golden brown and crispy. Mashed potatoes were definitly not instant which made for great potatoes! The brocoli cheddar casserole was a nice rice, broccoli and cheddar combo. Usualy the rice in items like that is mushy but this seemed to still have a firmness but not so much it crunched. Chicken was tender enough i didnt need a knife a fork was sufficient. Very satisfied with my dinner. The wife got the country fried steak with potatoes and broccoli and cheddar casserole. The steak was covered in a batter a little to much but it was tender enough to cut with a fork. The waitress Amber was exceptionally attentive to all her tables, I watched as she treated each table with kindness and respect. We will definitely be back. read more

Terrible experience! Obviously a poorly managed link of this chain restaurant. Monday night, not overly busy. Took almost an hour to get our food after we ordered. Server didn't even apologize for the wait till we were 45 min into the hour wait. Had to ask twice for some lemon for water (after it had been ordered initially). When food was finally served informed they were out of the carrots that two in our party had ordered and would be another 20-30 mins if we wanted to wait on them (pass). Now after this hour wait, food was lukewarm and mediocre at best. To top everything else off, server was no where to be found when we were all done eating, had to go up to the front and tell someone we wanted the bill now, then waited another 10 min before the tab was delivered.
