Poor service, ribeye was undercooked, overall terrible experience and will not return

Love the environment here! It's kind of low key snazzy. Love the fish tank in the front. The waitress was super nice and point. I came in on Saturday evening and it was a full house. For walk in party's of 2-4 it was like 20 min wait-40minutes. I queued online and made it pretty smooth. The 14oz steak I got was medium rare and cooked so well I was taken by surprise. The quality was amazing too. The pasta was a little too salty but delicious nonetheless. Fries and chicken tenders were good as well. The old fashioned and jack and coke was a nice touch too. The croissants were so airy and crispy it was out of this world. Wish they had one closer to home but the drive here ain't bad at all. read more

Was super excited about Cheddars being close to us. Once we were seated, after a standard wait, it took a while to see our server, and then even longer to get our food. They were out of the pot pie, so I got chicken fried chicken which was alright. My husband got fried shrimp.and chicken tenders. One piece he received was a solid piece of breading that he couldn't crack with a fork. Our server barely checked on us. I suggest giving it more time before trying it. read more

As promised in my first review, we went back to Chedder's to see if things have improved. Yes, they have. Even though it was very busy on a Thursday evening, we were seated promptly and (this time) politely. Our server visited our table within minutes with Honey Butter Croissants to welcome us and take our drink orders. After a few minutes he returned with drinks and we were ready to order. Ribs and Chicken Tenders Combo w/Seasoned Rice and a Loaded Baked Potato for me and the Shrimp and Steak Combo w/Seasoned Rice and Steamed Broccoli for my Girlfriend. Ticket time was very reasonable this time. Even though the restaurant was very busy, our meals were served in 20 minutes. The kitchen staff server who delivered our food asked my Girlfriend if she would like to cut her steak and make sure it was cooked to her liking. It was. However, distracted by the cutting, we didn't realize she didn't bring the Steamed Broccoli to the table. A minute or 2 later, our server came by to check on us and we told him. He went to the kitchen and brought the steaming hot broccoli. The server was very attentive without being a nuisance. I had a coupon for a free dessert and he suggested the Chocolate Sundae Fudge Cake. Amazing. Half the cake came home for dessert on Friday. read more

Ordered a hamburger and the bun was sopping wet. Server was fantastic, ambiance was destroyed by a table of ladies enjoying themselves but one had the most obnoxious laugh ever. This was our first and unfortunately our last, trip to Cheddars. read more

We went for a late lunch so it was not crowded. We were seated right away and our server came by quickly. The atmosphere was nicer than expected. Casual but nice. They had a full drink menu which was good to know even though we didn't have alcohol. I had a Monte Christo since I haven't had one in a long time and I don't see them on menus often. Chedder's.... Really Needs to Be called ...Death of Denny's and Cracker Barrell. It was between Chedders and another new place we have never tried before. So we decided on chicken fried chicken and 2 sides and chicken sandwich and fries. We also ordered chips, salsa and caso. Do not sleep on them. Very impressive and we were Surprised to see the Croissants another wow to thr mouth.. Everyone was impressed and no one had an adverse word ro say except...Need More.. Went with a group of five and nobody was impressed by the food. Service was friendly, however quite slow. Probably took us 15 minutes to get our drinks. My food was served cold, my daughter steak was overcooked. Everybody in our group was underwhelmed. I gave it to Sarg because the service was friendly, otherwise I would give it one. read more

Nice place. We have eaten here twice on our visit and was not disappointed either time. The first time I had the blackened salmon. The second time I had the soup and salad. The food was hot and fresh. I plan on trying this restaurant in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I would definitely recommend this establishment. read more

We came to Cheddar's for dinner and sat at the bar. As we we were getting into our seats, my husband put his hand into something wet and sticky on the counter and we had to ask the bartender to wipe up and get us some napkins so my husband could clean his hands. Crumbs fell off the counter into my lap as the bartender cleaned the counter and then we had to ask for napkins to dry off the wet counter (and menus). My cocktail napkin kept sticking to the bottom of my wine glass so I had to ask for something to clean that up as well. To our right were dishes left from a previous patron that were cleaned up about 15 minutes later. On our left were dishes from patrons that were leaving as we sat down and they remained on the bar until we were nearly finished with our meal. We ordered drinks and food that came pretty quickly. The food wasn't outstanding, but it was good and about what I would expect from what I consider fast food. As we ate, the bartender and one of the servers were behind the bar discussing how much they made in tips. The bartender didn't engage with us at all, except to ask if we wanted a second drink at the end of our meal. We didn't get the feeling that he particularly cared whether we were there or not. Although the wine and beer were fresh and food was hot and tasty, it doesn't make up for the lack of friendliness, professionalism, atmosphere, and cleanliness. read more

My 2nd time at Cheddars was almost as bad as the 1st time! Cold food!! The french fries are basically tasteless anyways but being room temp at best..YUK! My Coke was flat too! We both got the chicken tenders platter with Ranch as a dipping sauce. They give u 5 huge pieces with about a tablespoon of ranch.. Needless to say NEVER AGAIN! read more

The staff are friendly and courteous. My wife had the ribs and chicken tenders. She said it was very tasty and plentiful. Enough for a full meal at home again. I had the chicken pot pie. I had the bacon cheeseburger, it was overcooked and very dry. I suspect it was made in advance. The bun was stale and cold. One of the people I was with had the chicken wrap, it was so bad he only ate a couple of bites. Service was lacking. We asked for a refill of our water. The waitress brought it as we were leaving. There are too many good restaurants in the valley to eat here again. read more

The food is so delicious for the price, I'd definitely recommend the grilled chicken pecan salad or the Monty cristo. The ambience is very chill just like the service here, our waitress and the other waitress she was training were both so sweet and great! worst customer services I ever experience. my daughter has a emotional support dog that by law can go into buildings with her. we tried to order at the front door for to go but instead was sent to the bar. Then we get to the bar and she tries to put my 15 year old daughter outside in the dark by herself while she takes our order. absolutely not I will not do business with your company. Good atmosphere, generally less expensive than other places. Ordered the fish and chips - really good. They can be had with either cornmeal or batter, both fine but I prefer the batter. Served traditional with both fries and slaw. The meatloaf was ok, a little overcooked. I would probably get the fish, chicken strips, or monte cristo which are my usual dishes. Service was fine, place was crowded but we were seated and attended to quickly. A good value. Will be back. read more

The food is fresh, flavorful and yummy. We come from LA to visit grandma, and every time we come, a visit here is a must. The prices are great! My favorite is the salad. I mean, who else does chilled salad plates. Wow! This is genius. It makes it that much better. Service is great too. Beautiful restaurant. Always a favorite for us. read more

Food was blah - everything fried - bland tasteless and unimaginative- would not recommend

We had dinner July 2023 and was not impressed. The place is close to Sun City which would explain the lack of seasoning. The croissants covered in a honey butter sauce is more of a mess than it is worth and they only give you one napkin with the flatware as you are seated. The key west lemon shrimp and chicken was ok but need a lot more seasoning. Industrial Shrimp in America always has no flavor so it needs to be really seasoned. The green beans were frozen and reheated in a semi sweet butter sauce but the beans were picked way too mature and there was also stems present. Stringy. Although they were the Romano bean variety, it wasn't good. The coleslaw was good but about the same as many other places. Mashed potatoes were pretty bland and needed seasoning. Gravy was just a paste. As I said the chicken shrimp and rice was bland but the rice was either minute rice or frozen out of a bag. This was not made from scratch. Well maybe from scratch at the corporate factory. Would I go there again? NO. So just saying made from scratch means absolutely nothing but hey if you're an old person from sun city you wouldn't know any better. And really you should not go there also. Really, Burger King or even McDonald's has better quality food. read more

The fried fish was super awful tasting and the breading was too much. The broccolI casserole was not good tasting at all. The rolls served at the beginning were excellent. The salad was very good and fresh. I hope the food preparation changes for the better, cause I do not plan to visit Cheddars until I hear good reviews about the food. I like to restaurants do well. Our waiter was great . I had the meatloaf and it was burnt but the inside was very tasty to bad it was burnt . Mash potatoes were very good and the broccoli . Every was very warm . Couple stars for the service and management only. The food is terribly bland, I got the pot pie, hubs got the ribs. After the croissants they start you with it seemed it was going to be great. We went here on a whim. The food was good. We had the chicken tenders and shrimp as well as the Dijon chicken. The tenders were good, very large portions. My friend recommended the Dijon chicken.
