They brought out croissants, they were warm seemed like they needed another minute or two, I ordered the buffalo chicken strips with fries and broccoli, my son ordered chicken Alfredo, my mom ordered plain chicken strips with fries and coleslaw. My sons food was hot, my moms and mine both were ice cold, we brought it to the waitresses attention and she took it back to bring another, it was warm, but we said it was ok. Visited this location on Super Bowl Sunday. Food was very good and our server was excellent. My wife and I split the double country fried chicken with mashed potatoes and country gravy. My husband and I had our first date here five years ago. We've been coming ever since on our "first date" anniversary. This was our first time at the Peoria location (usually we go to Chandler) and it wasn't the same. I'm pretty sure I got a sirloin steak instead of the ribeye I ordered but was charged for the ribeye. The steak was lean but tough. The "loaded" potato only had a little bit of cheddar cheese on it (I asked for no sour cream), and it was dry. I only ate about half of it all and took the rest home for the dog. My husband liked his Dijon chicken, though. No complaints there. Oh, and the chips and queso is not true queso. It's some sort of Velveeta thing with peppers, probably out of a can. Not good at all. We didn't eat it past a couple of bites. We're not sure we'll go back to this location, if at all. read more

Placed a Togo order last weekend was missing a family side. Family wanted cheddars again so unwisely placed another order today. Place order at 8:50 order was scheduled to be ready at 9:20. After waiting an additional 20 minutes at 9:40 after still no food she goes inside and gets the order only to open in inside the restaurant and half the order is missing!!! First time here yesterday, tried to get there before the dinner rush @ 4ish, still had a 15 /20 minute wait, not too bad. Went to bar area and ordered watermelon margaritas, YUM!!! When we got seated, our waitress came over in short time and was the sweetest lady. Ariz, roll the R, was our waitress. My honey called her "At ease" to joke with her...he's a nut :-) She was the highlight of our visit. Very sweet & attentive. Gonna go far this one. She brought us the croissants...what??? Was super excited about Cheddars being close to us. Once we were seated, after a standard wait, it took a while to see our server, and then even longer to get our food. They were out of the pot pie, so I got chicken fried chicken which was alright. My husband got fried shrimp.and chicken tenders. Love the environment here! It's kind of low key snazzy. Love the fish tank in the front. The waitress was super nice and point. I came in on Saturday evening and it was a full house. For walk in party's of 2-4 it was like 20 min wait-40minutes. I queued online and made it pretty smooth. The 14oz steak I got was medium rare and cooked so well I was taken by surprise. The quality was amazing too. The pasta was a little too salty but delicious nonetheless. Fries and chicken tenders were good as well. The old fashioned and jack and coke was a nice touch too. As promised in my first review, we went back to Chedder's to see if things have improved. Yes, they have. Even though it was very busy on a Thursday evening, we were seated promptly and (this time) politely. Our server visited our table within minutes with Honey Butter Croissants to welcome us and take our drink orders. After a few minutes he returned with drinks and we were ready to order. Ribs and Chicken Tenders Combo w/Seasoned Rice and a Loaded Baked Potato for me and the Shrimp and Steak Combo w/Seasoned Rice and Steamed Broccoli for my Girlfriend. Ticket time was very reasonable this time. Even though the restaurant was very busy, our meals were served in 20 minutes. The kitchen staff server who delivered our food asked my Girlfriend if she would like to cut her steak and make sure it was cooked to her liking. It was. However, distracted by the cutting, we didn't realize she didn't bring the Steamed Broccoli to the table. A minute or 2 later, our server came by to check on us and we told him. He went to the kitchen and brought the steaming hot broccoli. The server was very attentive without being a nuisance. They had a full drink menu which was good to know even though we didn't have alcohol. I had a Monte Christo since I haven't had one in a long time and I don't see them on menus often. We came to Cheddar's for dinner and sat at the bar. As we we were getting into our seats, my husband put his hand into something wet and sticky on the counter and we had to ask the bartender to wipe up and get us some napkins so my husband could clean his hands. Crumbs fell off the counter into my lap as the bartender cleaned the counter and then we had to ask for napkins to dry off the wet counter (and menus). My cocktail napkin kept sticking to the bottom of my wine glass so I had to ask for something to clean that up as well. To our right were dishes left from a previous patron that were cleaned up about 15 minutes later. On our left were dishes from patrons that were leaving as we sat down and they remained on the bar until we were nearly finished with our meal. We ordered drinks and food that came pretty quickly. The food wasn't outstanding, but it was good and about what I would expect from what I consider fast food. As we ate, the bartender and one of the servers were behind the bar discussing how much they made in tips. The bartender didn't engage with us at all, except to ask if we wanted a second drink at the end of our meal. We didn't get the feeling that he particularly cared whether we were there or not.
