Not good food. Barely warm, dried out and flavorless meals. Do not recommend. Service is fine but overall disappointing restaurant.

Well, this is my second visit in a week. No issues at all on the first with a party of four with two take out orders. To go drinks offered! Great server. Today.... Freshly brewed tea and the strawberry lemonade was refreshing. Ordered the Monte Cristo and the coconut shrimp. The shrimp was discontinued yesterday but still on the menu, so ordered regular fried shrimp. Not sure of the confusion but a manager stopped by to confirm no coconut shrimp, which was nice. The shrimp tasty but a few had batter that was not done. No cocktail sauce was available. The Monte Cristo was served warm but meaty. The fries for both dishes were just warm. Our server was nice. I kept hearing staff apologizing for some shortcoming or other at other tables. Not the A game for them but it won't keep us from returning to give them another try. read more

I had the grilled fish, blackened, with a Caesar salad and their broccoli-cheese casserole. She had the chicken pot pie with aside house salad. The food was all very good with good presentations as swell. The waitress was attentive without hovering. Unfortunately, they brought the main courses before we finished our salads. That always makes me feel rushed. Why do this when the restaurant was less than half full? Their other no-no was calculating tip suggestions based on the after tax price. I have been wanting to try this place for a long time. I was finally in the area for lunch and decided to try it. The waitress brought out these sweet honey butter croissants, which were okay. I guess if I were having a major sugar craving, I probably would have appreciated them. I was underwhelmed as I like my croissants a little less like dessert. I was craving salmon, so I got the grilled salmon with green beans and the broccoli casserole. The salmon was fine, but everything else was salty, I could barely eat it. This place was very clean. I loved the fish tank at the entrance! We HAD to order the croissants. They were delicious! 3 out of 4 of us ordered the chicken strips and they were also pretty good. I got mine with a side of broccoli and idk what they put on them but the seasoning was very good. Traveling south, I happened in this area for gas and was in need of lunch, to go. I ordered the chicken tenders which appeared to be highly rated. I was not disappointed. It was obvious that these were hand-breaded and fried. They had a nice breading, maybe a tad thick, with juicy, properly cooked chicken. The ranch dipping sauce was good. Wasn't really impressed. 4 main things I enjoyed here: were the rolls they brought out as a complimentary biscuit rolls, the Idaho mashed potatoes with ( gravy I asked for) and the raspberry tea and Caesar salad. Everything else was not so good. Service was decent good but wish food was better too. Ribs were kinda dry hard to chew, chicken tenders were very Crispy. More breading than chicken. Cheese cake was very disappointing. Wife ordered a drink and had to send it back it was that bad of a taste. Wife talked me into trying this place. Eye catching from the outside and impressive interior, as well. Greeted and seated immediately. Server was very friendly! We ordered the cheese fries appetizers. Could tell the fries were frozen, but were still crispy and loaded with toppings. Great for the price paid. Waited a little longer than anticipated for our food, but our server kept us updated the whole time with timely drink refills. My wife ordered the steak and hand breaded chicken tenders. Her steak was cooked medium rare as requested and was to her satisfaction. We both agreed the hand breaded chicken tenders were the star of our dinner. I ordered the steak and coconut shrimp. The shrimp were decent. I ordered the steak medium and received it on the brink of well done. Seasoning was basically Montreal steak seasoning that you can buy at the store, but flavor was okay for being over cooked. Server was apologetic and they granted my request for chicken instead. We went into the restaurant and were seated right away. Then we sat there for ten minutes with no contacts from any employees. So we got up and started to leave. As we were leaving I spotted the manager waddling around. I told her we were sitting there for over ten minutes with no one coming to us. Her response was "What do you want? Do you want me to apologize?" I said no, just keep doing nothing and we left. This place was had horrible service and I recommend you do not eat there. read more

I also had the Tiki Island which was very tasty, especially if you like fruity drinks, but I questioned if there was ANY alcohol in the drink at all! I'm so glad they opened a Cheddars within driving distance! This restaurant recently opened a few weeks ago. The dining area is kept immaculate, the staff are very personable, and the food was really good. Wait time on a Tuesday evening was 35-40 minutes, but this is to be expected as the restaurant is new. Our orders were taken and food arrived promptly. The complimentary croissants were delicious. For those of you wondering about COVID regulations, the restaurant is social distancing, employees are wearing mask, and tables are placed in a social distancing manner. We ordered the monte Cristo, coconut shrimp, and chicken tender platter. My only complaint was that the sauce that came with the shrimp was sweet with pineapple and coconut flavor, which was a very odd concoction for this food item. Recently stopped here for lunch. Service was very good- our waitress quickly, but without rushing us, took drink orders followed by entrée orders. Portions were huge. The food was good, but not great. The kid's meal burgers came out plain, which was a bit of a surprise, no toppings at all. My monte cristo was the equivalent of two decent sized wraps, but was a bit soggy. Would not order again. Others at the table got salmon, which they liked and a salad, which yielded at least one more meal. Over all, a better than average experience. read more

I dined my first time here last Thursday after work with my dear friend who recommended Cheddars. Warm and friendly service from our waitress, I think her name is Rita, forgive me if incorrect. Loved the signature warmed croissant that just melts in your mouth. I had the Shrimp Alfredo. I think my brother makes the best Alfredo but this was very close, I would have thought he was in the back cooking. Soooo delicious. The broccoli was perfectly cooked as well. It was a generous serving. There were a couple of large groups dining and they also seemed to be enjoying themselves. Service was attentive. Great to see! My first visit to Cheddar's was a pleasant surprise. We were there in mid-afternoon, off-peak hours. We only wanted lunch so I ordered the blackened chicken with red beans and rice. My wife ordered a cheeseburger with fries. As a starter, we had a house salad, which was very cold and crispy. Just as it should be. Service was quick and always attentive, the food was served promptly and the proper temperatures. They have a very appealing menu with lots of homestyle offerings. Another plus, is that the prices are quite reasonable. All in all, it was a very positive experience. I would enthusiastically recommend them to anyone looking to get a great meal that won't break the bank. The croissants to start off were really good. It was like a sweet treat in your mouth. I got the Buffalo chicken wrappers, they were spicy, but not overpowering. The chicken was crispy and cooked very well. The other people in my party had favorable reviews as well. They ordered the country steak, ribs & coconut shrimp, and chicken Alfredo pasta. We've eaten here twice, and unfortunately, both times left underwhelmed. The first time they had only been open a few weeks, so we thought we'd give Cheddar's another try tonight. Unfortunately, we had problem after problem AGAIN. We just wanted a nice family dinner with our kids that are home on Spring Break, and this was really disappointing. The only thing that was really good tonight were the sweet honey croissants that we get at the beginning of our meal. Otherwise, we had: -2 FILTHY steak knives, with cheese and other old food coated all over them. We asked for clean knives and never got them replaced. We wound up having to borrow our kids' knives. -I asked for lemon with my water. It didn't come with my water, so I had to ask again. And again a third time. -Someone in our family ordered their dinner salad with thousand island dressing. It came with ranch. It took the server several minutes to return with the correct dressing...we were having a late dinner, and the restaurant wasn't busy, so I don't know why it took so long. -My son's french fries were burnt. ...So, we're just over this place. We've been waiting for a long time to try this restaurant due to the pandemic and finally decided to go for it after nearly 18 mos of not eating out. Big disappointment! My wife ordered a salad with broiled chicken and said it was good. Side cup of potato soup was very small however compared to what we've come to expect at most franchise restaurants. More like a half cup. Soup was good but heavy on the salt. Croissants were tasty, drizzled in honey butter. Ice tea was delicious and refills kept coming. My meal however was nothing short of underwhelming. Ordered half rack of ribs and coconut shrimp combo. Ribs were actually burnt on top as if placed in a broiler with lots of burnt and inedible areas that I had to peel off; but it otherwise was moist and tasted ok if you like a charred meat flavor. I don't. My baked potato was barely warm but good in a room temperature kind of way. The coconut shrimp suffered the same fate as my ribs: overcooked to the point of no taste with burnt breading. And only 4 shrimp which felt was a little light for the $17 price. We decided to share a dessert and went for the chocolate hot fudge cake with ice cream. HUGE slice of cake and I mean massive, with fudge (not hot) drizzled over it all. It was good but we weren't able to finish it so we took remainder home. Wait staff was attentive, pleasant and apologized for the overcooked food. She said "we don't have a cook today so our manager is cooking" and rolled her eyes. Visited Cheddars a few days ago. The service was great and the ambiance very good. The food was terrible. My wife's hamburger did not taste like beef and the consistency was odd. I wonder if it was plant based? My whitefish with fries and coleslaw was also terrible. The coleslaw didn't seem fresh made -probably the same commercially made product you can get in any restaurant after spooning it from a one gallon container. Hostess was very friendly and sat us quickly and our server soon appeared with two complimentary croissants that looked amazing. These croissants tasted just as awesome as they looked too! They have a decent menu, loaded with handhelds, fried items, lots of sides and some basic entrée's. They have a decent drink/cocktail menu too and everything is pretty inexpensive. We chose a burger and their chicken tenders. I started with a starter salad also and the salad arrived within a few minutes of placing my order. It looked and tasted pretty decent. While I'm half way through my salad, about 5 more mins, both of our entrees appeared! That was REALLY quick and you'd think that being that quick, it was freshly prepared and it would all be piping hot, but it wasn't... not at all! The fries were warm, farm from hot, but they were tasty. The chicken tenders were crispy and flavorful, but were slightly cooler than warm. The coleslaw and red beans & rice sides that came with the chicken tenders were really tasty and done just right. Service was friendly and she checked on us regularly, so no complaints there. But I just wish the food was prepared to order, rather then being pre-prepped ahead of time and assembled to order, which is probably why it wasn't served hot. Would we return? Maybe. read more

OK visited this place last week after my wife's request. I ordered Ribs; dried and not seasoned well and the sauce mostly burnt because of the grill sear. Was not a fan of the ribs, they were just OK and definitely not a must have ever again. The 6 ounce sirloin was over cooked and borderline dry, I guess they proved how easy it is to ruin a simple order. My wife had the pot pie and to my surprise she said it was very good and took the rest home. The appetizers were great Spinach dip and nachos were on point, great premeal dining. The place has a nice set up, to socialize and have a few drinks and lively atmosphere. Our wait staff was very good and attentive, they hit the spot. Unfortunately Cheadders is not on my list as a must go to restaurant if I am in need of food. I may go back one day to try another dish but I am not in a hurry.
