We've dined here a few times while running errands in Waldorf. The day and time of your visit plays a part in how busy it'll be. Pros: Nostalgic and has something for everyone Respectable price point Has happy hour drink options Servers have positive attitudes and good energy Cons: Could use some improvement in cleanliness of tables, cutlery and seating Can get crowded, loud and hectic Overall, I would dine here again. The honey butter croissants are my favorite and you receive them complimentary at the start of your meal. On the latest visit, our server forgot but when asked, she boxed a fresh order up to go. I appreciate her for acknowledging the oversight and immediately making it right. The non-alcoholic drinks have add in options but I've found the syrup to be overpowering and optional. Portion sizes are appropriate for the price point and I've been happy with my choices thus far. Sign up for their emails if you want to receive notices of any promotions they have as well as a birthday freebie. Subject to change so read the offer carefully. There is booth seating, a bar and they do have alcohol based drinks. This is a good spot if you want to grab and go, have a date night, group gathering and solo dining. No automatic gratuity is added but the young adults do a great job and tipping appropriately is encouraged. I'd dine here again and I look forward to exploring more of their menu.

However, for a Saturday lunch and as always, it's very delicious. The prices are always just right and you get a great selection for the price. It is a chain restaurant so the ambience is not much but we can at least watch the game in the bar area while you eat. Our server was really nice and the white fish that I had was blackened to perfection with the right amount of lemon pepper.

Nothing NEW to report. Just another round of our favorite comfort food entrees from one of our old staple neighborhood restaurants. Always want to give credit, where credit is due. Thanks hubby for your support on this chilly afternoon: Monday, March 30, 2026.

My boyfriend and I were looking for a new restaurant to check out other than our usuals. He recommended Cheddar's and I was eager to try somewhere new. We had looked over their menu beforehand, and were impressed by the options and price points. The menu was similar to a Friday's or a Chilli's. We got there on a Friday night, and despite the parking lot being full, we were seated right away. I did notice that quite a bit of tables had yet to be cleared off, but that was probably the only drawback I'd have for them. Other than that, our server was great. She was personable and kind. She offered us recommendations and checked in frequently. We started with the complimentary croissants and those were so delicious and just what I needed because I had barely eaten all day, so needed something to munch on. They were sweet and buttery. I honestly could have been good off of those. For dinner, I had the pain killer as my drink and that is definitely strong, so one of those will suffice. I did the combo with ribs, grilled shrimp, and two sides. I had the sweet carrots and the broccoli cheese casserole. I thought the broccoli cheese casserole was ok. I know my waitress said it's pretty popular, but I guess because I already had rice on the plate, I really didn't need to get another side with rice. The ribs were a generous size and the BBQ sauce was just right. My boyfriend got the white fish with sweet corn, and he thoroughly enjoyed the meal. For the price point and meal, we both agreed that we would come back.

Cheddars has effectively carved out their niche in the Brandywine neighborhood. They've been going strong 10+ years and I know why! There's a relaxed atmosphere & you get to chop it up with familiar faces. That plus heavy pours, bar food, homestyle meals, & handmade desserts at a GREAT VALUE are part of their recipe for success. Before 2020, I used to visit with my coworkers during lunchtime. One of the guys in our crew always ordered chicken tenders & fried shrimp. They deliver a perfect crunch every time. I typically order the bourbon salmon with sides. I also order the salmon family bundles when there's no time to cook for guests. Service is a little slow when the restaurant is crowded except if you're sitting at the bar.

I stopped by for a quick bite to eat for lunch. Left out with no complaints. The place is definitely cleaned. The service is good and the food is fair. I ordered a simple chicken tenders and fries, can't go wrong with that. I had no complaints.

I ordered the salmon dinner online, which included greens, potato salad, and a muffin. The meal cost $35. When I got home and began eating, I immediately realized the salmon was spoiled and inedible. I called the restaurant to report the issue and request a refund. Instead of allowing me to speak with a manager, I was told to contact Toast because I had placed my order online. Unfortunately, Toast does not provide customer service for this type of issue and directed me back to Carolina Kitchen. I was given the runaround, and neither the restaurant nor Toast accepted responsibility. What disappointed me most was the complete lack of concern for a customer who was served spoiled food. I was simply told there was nothing they could do, despite the fact that I paid $35 for a meal I could not eat. Serving spoiled food is unacceptable, and so is refusing to resolve a legitimate customer complaint. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Carolina Kitchen. Save your money and spend it at a business that values its customers and stands behind the quality of its food.

So you're aware, the food is made to order so it's perfect when you're planning ahead for lunch or dinner. They also deliver! (Ask for details dep. on your area). The chef was so, so nice! It's an honor to support her business! All of the vegetables tasted like they were farm-fresh--nothing was frozen! The green beans were expertly cooked with fresh tomatoes, mushrooms, and onions. The best green beans ever! I would love to get these again! The mashed potatoes were so creamy and the yams were nice and sweet, but not too, too sweet. They were perfectly balanced and had the best texture! The meatloaf was made with all of the love in the world! Now, since it has lamb, the flavor is very, very prominent. I'm not really a big meat person but this was a cool touch, and I'll try anything once! If you're a huge fan of lamb, I recommend it. I loved how there was gravy at the bottom and the traditional tomato based topping on top! I shared with my brother when he came to visit, he tore it all up! Lol. I would definitely order from Auntie's again. I saw that a friend follows the chef on social media and she absolutely loves Auntie's, too! My wife and I arrived around 1:20 p.m. on a Thursday. The lunch crowd was still going strong, which only reinforced that we had picked a popular spot. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill almost immediately. When we walked in, there was no hostess to be found. After waiting about four minutes, she finally appeared and offered us a choice between a small table in the corner or one by the bar. Given how busy the restaurant was, we took the table by the bar. About seven minutes later, someone finally came by to offer us water and explained that our server was busy, but she would help us in the meantime. No problem. We ordered the Avo Goddess Salad and asked that it be split so we could share it. A few minutes later, our server arrived, introduced herself, and we let her know we had already ordered the salad and were ready to place our lunch orders. She was very helpful in guiding my wife toward the Old Bay Shrimp Burger. I was excited to order the Shrimp and Grits until I learned it contained Andouille sausage and, according to our server, couldn't be prepared without it. Since the restaurant highlights that everything is made from scratch, that surprised me. I ended up ordering the Ahi Tuna Salad instead. So far, so good. Then came the frustration. We spent the next 20 minutes slowly picking at our salad, growing increasingly hungry and confused. You know something is wrong when guests who were seated after you begin receiving their meals before you. Finally, at 2:10 p.m., our food arrived: my Ahi Tuna Salad and a Pulled Lamb Sandwich for my wife. Except my wife had ordered the Shrimp Burger. When we pointed out the mistake to what was now our third server, she quickly assured us it would be corrected. A few minutes later, our original server returned and took full responsibility. She explained that the lamb and shrimp items are next to each other in the POS system and she accidentally selected the wrong item. She assured us the Shrimp Burger would be out in two minutes and suggested we enjoy the fries that came with the lamb sandwich while we waited. Unfortunately, another ten minutes passed before the burger finally arrived. Here's where things became truly disappointing: the top bun was still cold--almost frozen. My wife ended up removing it entirely and eating the sandwich with just the bottom bun. At best, the Shrimp Burger was decent, but certainly not worth the wait and frustration. As for my Ahi Tuna Salad, it felt like something I could easily make at home, especially considering the $25 price tag. I'm also not entirely convinced the tuna was particularly fresh. I can't bring myself to give Matt and Tony's one star because the atmosphere is genuinely cool and inviting. So I settled on two stars--mostly for how I felt before the experience unraveled. And listen, I get it. Mistakes happen. We're all human. But as someone who eats out frequently, here's one piece of advice: when a restaurant makes a significant mistake with a customer's order, consider taking that item off the bill. Sometimes that gesture is the only reason a guest decides to come back.

Yo girl been trying to eat a little healthier and was looking for some baked or grill fish. This restaurant did deliver. The grill tilapia and broccoli was pretty good. The portion size was on point. My son wanted their crab cake burger which I had to taste and it was delicious. They offer mumbo sauce with their fries and it is banging. Got a nice little kick to it. The corn on the cob is so so. Its not bad but I just had better. Its too greasy for corn on the cob too. So confused about that. Any who, I spent $40 for everything which was reasonable for 2 meals. I will definitely be back to try other menu items. The cashiers here are super friendly which is always appreciated because its seems like people are losing basic manners. So thanks ladies for your kindness it didnt go unnoticed. Would I recommend this restaurant, yeah I would. Its not spectacular but its pretty good and you get enough food for the price. That itself is worth it. So go and visit so we can keep restaurants like this open in our community.

There are surprising number of chicken options here for a place called, "This Is Seafood", but not quite as many seafood options as I hoped. I was really looking forward to getting an order of fried scallops for lunch and I was a little disappointed they didn't have them on the menu. I decided to get the Combo #4: 3 whole wings, 6 fried shrimp, and my choice of 1 piece of fish and side dish. For my fish, I chose fried catfish and for my side I chose hush puppies. The combo also came with a fountain drink. I decided to mix their house-made lemonade and house-made iced tea and it made the perfect half-and-half. The wait wasn't too bad, as the food was being freshly made. It was piping hot and crispy when I received it. Those shrimp were huge! Some of the biggest fried shrimp I've ever had...And not those butterfly shrimp either. Whole shrimp, and the tail was removed so I didn't have to worry about accidentally crunching on one of the shells. The catfish was delectable! Perfectly seasoned, delightfully crispy, and absolutely melted in my mouth. So good. I'm coming back for the catfish if nothing else. The wings were perfectly fried, nice and crispy, but they were a bit too light on the seasoning for my taste. And the mumbo sauce tasted too similar to barbecue sauce. I did not like that, so I ended up saving the rest of the wings until I got home to put my own mumbo sauce on them. The hush puppies were also really good. I like that they were fried perfectly and weren't greasy... Even after reheating them. Overall, my lunch cost me about $25 and it was enough food for at least two meals. Can't beat that. I'll be back for that catfish.

I arrived right at opening--11:30 on the dot--which turned out to be perfect timing. I grabbed a seat outside under the cool, shaded overhang. Lovely atmosphere overall, though the piped‑in music felt a bit loud. Maybe I was just extra sensitive because of the mood I was in. My waitress greeted me promptly and professionally, and I ordered the shrimp and grits along with the ginger broccoli. A few minutes later, the shrimp and grits arrived--a generous portion, but the texture immediately threw me off. Instead of the creamy, velvety consistency I expect and love, the grits leaned gelatinous, almost set, which made the dish feel a bit off. The flavor was there, but the texture wasn't my preference, and the overall balance didn't quite land. This fusion, for me, missed the mark. The ginger broccoli was okay--bright, fresh, and nicely seasoned--but it could've used a little more soul. Maybe a quick grill or char to deepen the flavor instead of simply steaming and tossing with sauce and sesame seeds. All in all, an okay meal from a place where I'm used to dishes with more depth and warmth. I hope they revisit the shrimp and grits and bring back some of that Southern richness. I still love Succotash, and I'll definitely return--just probably to try something other than the shrimp and grits next time.
