Came to cheddars last night Saturday (3/5) for dinner since we had a gift card we received for Christmas. Arrived at 5:30pm and were told a 30-60 minute wait which was perfect as we wanted to have a drink before getting food. Headed into the bar and found enough seating for the four of us in our group. The bar tender in the bar was awesome. Offered us some buttered croissants. We tried several of the drinks on the menu. The painkiller, Long Island ice tea, and margaritas were excellent. We ordered the Wisconsin cheese bites as an appetizer. They were killer. Our table was ready at 6pm, so only 30 minutes wait. Everyone in our group really enjoyed our meals. Chicken tenders, ribs, chicken fried steak, and chicken fried chicken were delicious. They have great fries and the other sides were well done as well. Our waiter was awesome and very attentive to our requests. Will definitely be going back! read more

Came in for some good food before heading back on the road home. We had about a 7 minute wait . The hostess was confused on where to seat us and then we waited an additional 15 minutes until a server came to take care of us. This was after asking two different hostess where our server was. They started us off with the croissant rolls then we ordered. Surprisingly the food didn't take long . Besides the crappy service the food and dessert was good. Cheddars use to have great food but they got rid of so many good items. I bought a meal today that was absolutely horrible. Specifically, it was the country fried chicken with white Gravy, seasoned rice and greenbeans. The steak tasted like chicken, the Gravy was completely watery and tasteless, the seasoned rice was gooey and tasteless and the greenbeans were hard. I'm not sure what people are expecting from a chain restaurant. It's the only decent thing other than Carolina kitchen (which is obviously not good for you health wise) and Bonefish to eat if you are in that area. It's constantly good when I go in terms of fairly quick service, food quality and atmosphere. Everything tastes pretty fresh and hot. The servers are always on point. My mother like it so, I go about once a month. I also have used the online ordering system, which has proven to be very easy and efficient. Side note, I think the portions are larger and sometimes more visual appealing if you dine in. It's been maybe once, I have scratched my head when ordering online. They quickly corrected the issue. Stay away from those honey butter croissants they are heavenly........not of this earth addictively good. And, also 400 calories per roll. Sorry....had to do it to ya!!! read more

I had the opportunity to visit Cheddars. A friend visiting from out of town made the reservations to dine at Cheddars. Once I met up with my friend, we were immediately seated. The waitress immediately greeted us at our table. I ordered Coconut Shrimp as an appetizer, along with their Sweet Tea. I ordered the Ribs and Shrimp combo with a loaded baked potato, broccoli. First impression... calm atmosphere. Then we were handed wet menus. Then we looked at the device on the table, gross . Not only finger prints every where ever, the carrots were tastless and undercooked. My husband had the pork chop with bourbon glaze and grilled onions. Grilled onions were OK. When we arrived we were quickly greeted and taken to a booth. I asked for a table instead and had to wait about 3-4 minutes for the hostess to see if the waitress could serve us at a table instead of a booth. Weird. Anyway, we were finally seated at a table and the waitress came an took our order. She was polite and had a sense of humor. Food was ok, not great but good. Me and my son had the country fried steak and the breading was way too much for the size of the steak. The biggest thing was everything was very bland, no flavor. Wife had chicken tends they were the same, no flavor. Daughter-in-law had a club sandwich, said it was real good. I guess it's hard to screw up a sandwich. Jordan Owens- Manager September 6, 2024 Cajun Pasta -&15.99 Takeout- wonderful waitress- Takia Time: approximately 2PM Ordered a Cajun Pasta meal and sauce was very skimpy asked to see a manager. A very disrespectful and rude ( Jordan Owens) showed up as the Cheddar's manager My request was to not be charged for a cup of sauce , which would cost $1.00. Ms. Owens stated that she could see the sauce on the meal , at that point it was obvious that we did not agree. I was perfectly capable of spending the money but the attitude that Ms. Owens brought to the table was one ( I'm not giving you anything). I saw and heard the nastiness in her voice so I stated to her, " so if I want this meal with extra sauce I will have to pay the $1, she agreed. I then refused the meal and she grabbed the plate and walked away. The business is not hers so it became clear she did not care about a loss sale of $16. The meal had to be thrown away and a sale was lost because of the ignorance of one poor manager. I would like to give kudos to the excellent waitress , Takia who tried to make the situation better by apologizing and being what the public wants and needs, great customer service. Takia has the proper attitude for the position. Ms. Owens needs a lesson in diplomacy, while it may have been the original way the meal was prepared, ask yourself is it worth it to lose a customer when so many places are struggling to survive for a cup of sauce.Just a reminder to Ms. Owens, it is just as important how you say something as it is what you say. So we were a party of seven so I understand why it took a while for us to get a table even though we called ahead of time and we were told there was no wait. OK so we got our table however we were split in between two booths across from one another OK no big deal we can still talk to one another but then it took at least 30 minutes until a waiter greeted us and took our drinks. by then we already knew what we wanted to order. OK so we got our drinks but the waiter forgot two of our drinks and they were just water so I don't know how he messed that up but anyway we ordered our food and the food didn't take that long however they messed up my sister's order and my god brother's order. not only that but I had ordered a sweetened iced tea but it tasted like tapwater smh so I don't know if they need to clean their drink machine or what it was but that was a no-go. aside from that my meal was OK but the reason why I still was nice enough to give three stars is because the food all together was enjoyable by my family and their honey butter croissant saved them. but I don't think I'll come here again the waiters and the hostess was just rude and that's all I'm going to say read more

We were sat at a dirty booth, as we sat down we looked at the dirty glass about our seats, and the kiosk thing you pay with was dirty. There was a good balance of batter to chicken, and the chicken was still very moist. Other than the chicken, I was underwhelmed. My sirloin was overcooked and quite fatty for a sirloin. The ribs that someone else got were not flavorful, although moist. Pretty sure they boiled the ribs before cooking because of the lack of flavor. Our server, who only had 2 other tables, was not attentive. Most of the meal I sat with an empty cup of water because he didn't come to check on us until the end of our meal. My girlfriend and I ordered the Texas Sweet Tea, chicken quesadilla, croissants, ribeye and top sirloin dinners. The Texas Sweet Tea would have been so much better WITHOUT the amaretto. I have visited this establishment on several occasions and have been very pleased but unfortunately my last visit was distasteful and truly insulting. We had the appetizers (cheese curds) which were delicious but our main course was disgusting. The chicken was burned twice (overcooked and hard with very dark spots) and the idiot manager had the audacity to say it was not; and that the cook who orepared the appetizer prepared the chicken. He actually commenced to argue with us. Then when I called the next day to speak with the head manager, my call was not connected and I was left waiting for about five minutes. I called back for about a week and my calls were always placed on hold and never answered. We spent about $75.00 dollars and this treatment was insulting. It's shameful that Michael McGraw has no class and common consideration toward his customers as a manager and that Michael Collar as the head manager supports such behavior and they run from dissatisfied customers and complaints. I have read several reviews and noticed that dissatisfied customer's complaints that are made known to management are not properly addressed. To be an effective business establishment within the service industry, listening to customer's issues regardless of being in agreement is crucial. Had the fish and chips and was looking forward to dowsing it in malt vinegar but was told they had none after the food came. Maybe I should have asked before I ordered but I figured malt vinegar was a staple with fish and chips. My friend ordered Italian dish and on the menu it said served with garlic bread but again, when the food was served they had no garlic bread. I just wish those small details would be conveyed to the customer beforehand. The service was mediocre.
