First things first the food was definitely the fastest food I've ever received in my life. By the time he goes around the table to take anyone else's order. Your food is coming out. Customer service was good. This place was pretty new to me. It was my first time met up with my family Menu is pretty simple. Everything is very straightforward. They have a bar which is a plus I didn't taste much besides the naked wings with ranch and fries. The margarita I ordered definitely was a pre-mix wasn't the best but whatever I'll be back.

Delicious food, great bar ambiance and friendly staff. Ordered a salad, sandwich and biscuits. The biscuit is delish and I love the pimento cheese in the sandwich. I'll be back next time I'm back in town.

My work colleagues will tell you, that 99% of the time I "brown bag" my lunch. Partly because I think my lunches taste better, but also cuz I don't think the value proposition for dining out is worth it anymore. Within a 10 minute driving radius of the office, there are a plethora of fast food options (McDonald's, Popeye's, Subway, etc.), fast casual joints like Chipotle, Panera, etc., and a fairly large food court/hall. Meh...I'll pass on all those choices. Waldo's Chicken and Beer recently opened up near me, and on the rare occasion that I decide to eat out or more likely, forgot to pack a meal, this place will be in my regular rotation of lunch spots. Waldo's is a rapidly growing national chain - https://waldoschicken.com/visit - in the ever expanding chicken segment of the restaurant industry. They are primarily in the Southeast, but the location in Camp Springs, MD (a few steps from the Branch Ave Metro) represents their most Northerly expansion. Seems like a trivial thing, but I always appreciate when there is ample parking, which Waldo's has being located in the Restaurant Row Apollo shopping center. Walking in, I immediately notice all of the eclectic artwork on the walls, which are illuminated by copious amounts of natural lighting from the wall-to-floor windows throughout the dining room. Order at the register for in-person dining; the text on the digital menu boards are kind of small, so thankfully there are laminated menus for easier reading. If I'm dining out at a chicken place, I'm not opting for the "sensible" rotisserie style...no, I'm going with the "unhealthy" deep fried stuff. The few times I've been, I'll order either a 3 or 4 piece chicken tender box. The chicken has a nice fry without being overly greasy, and the breading is crispy without being too thick. TBH, I do find the seasoning to be a bit too salty...and this is coming from a person who typically enjoys aggressively seasoned food. Two dipping sauces come with an order. The cream based dips have been kind of a disappointment. I've found them to be a bit watered down or oddly, too "milk" tasting. Stick with the mustard based sauces. Shoe string fries are good and stay crisp even after 10-15 minutes at the table. I think I like the seasoned potato wedges more. I was dining with a few co-workers so we got an order for the cheddar biscuits for the table. They're tasty and come with a side of honey butter. I'm sure my recent lunch exceeded the recommended 1,500 calorie count for the day...but since I'm not eating like this often, I'll enjoy the indulgence. Depending on your order, lunch will average around $15-$20 with most meals including a fountain beverage.

Banana Pudding - they allowed me to sample it before i purchased it.

Listen... when I tell you all that Waldo's has me in a chokehold, I mean it. I have been there THREE days in a row, and at this point they might as well give me my own booth with my name on it. First of all, the customer service is top tier. On Day 1, we had Sim, and she broke that menu DOWN like she wrote it herself. She knew every item, every sauce, every detail. She had me ordering like I was preparing for a food review show. Day 1 lineup: * The blue chicken salad with rotisserie chicken -- fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. * One quarter fried chicken with collard greens and those fresh-cut fries. * A kids meal with tenders and mac and cheese for my granddaughter. Now let me pause right here... that mac and cheese? BABY. My granddaughter talked about it so much that I told my cousins, and then they wanted some. So guess what? Day 2, we pulled up again. Day 2: * The same fried chicken for me, collard greens, mac and cheese, and onion rings. * The onion rings were not for me, but everything else was excellent. * And then came the banana pudding. I have NEVER -- and I mean NEVER -- had banana pudding like that. I almost needed a moment to myself. Day 3 (today): * I took my Daddy, daughter, and sister because at this point I am bringing folks to the promised land. * More mac and cheese for the grandkid (because obviously). * Another blue chicken salad for me, but with fried chicken this time -- still amazing. * Chicken sandwiches, lemon pepper wings and collard greens for my dad, daughter, and sister, and everybody at the table agreed that WALDO's is a HIT! And yes... I absolutely ordered another banana pudding. As a matter of fact, I may need to get one tomorrow just to keep my soul at ease. If you have not been to Waldo's, go. And if you see me sitting in there again... MIND YO BUSINESS...lol!! I am in my happy place.

Visited this restaurant on 11/5/25 and I believe this is their second day open. When you arrive, you order your food, you're given a number, you find a seat, and they bring your food to you. The restaurant is clean and has a lot of indoor seating. It also appears that they will have outdoor seating at some point. I ordered the 1/4 chicken (dark) plate, which comes with 2 sides and choice of sauces. The 1/4 dark was a large thigh which was well seasoned (I think they said they brine the chicken). For sides, I chose fries (which were like shoestring fries and seasoned well) and collard greens (which tasted better than ok, had small bits of meat, but had too many stalks). I came with 4 others who had chicken tenders (said they were good), the OG chicken sandwich, and banana pudding (I heard good things about it and hope to try it next time). I also had the jalapeño ranch (ranch with a very slight kick) and Kingsbury "comeback" sauce (which tasted like honey mustard and something). Both were good! Currently, they are still awaiting a liquor license but I can see this being a popular bar setting when that happens. The service was excellent and I hope it remains that way as time goes on!

Waldo's is a Nashville, Tennessee franchise business. It's a welcome addition to the Camp Springs area. The chicken is cooked fresh. They don't use frozen meat. You order when you walk in the door. The team is happy and ready to help out with your needs. Then you receive a number then sit down to receive your food whether you are eating in or doing takeout. I enjoy the chicken strips basket that includes two sides and a beverage. They also have several different flavors of dipping sauces that are all tasty. The interior is bright, has a bar, and several tvs with different sporting events on each. My favorite drink is the frozen cocktails for $5! There is a frozen margarita and a second flavor that rotates week to week. The flavor I enjoyed the best is the strawberry lemonade drop. I frequently hear more often than I would like to admit.

Waldo's is still within its first 6 months. We stopped in to place a to-go order and waited for it to be ready. The 2 stars is for the 2 things that were positive: customer service and cleanliness. However, the food, which is the most important part, was just not enjoyable for me. We ordered the tender fingers basket, which is 6 tenders plus 2 sides (we chose collard greens and fries) and a cheddar biscuit. Since this was a first visit and also being shared, I also ordered an additional side of Mac and cheese and a banana pudding. The issue was how salty the food was. Yikes! I could not even eat beyond one tender and a forkful of the sides. Interestingly, the cheddar biscuit was more sweet than savory. Didn't notice until I got home that there were no sauces despite selecting two. Disappointing experience for me but others will enjoy the things I didn't like. Different strokes for different folks of course!

Went back and food is good! Half chicken and wedges are a go. Chicken has to be brined because chicken was so moist. I'll try again in a few months and see how they're holding up.

Amazing food. Everything made fresh. Literally everything. They come in early to squeeze lemons and limes for their mixers. Wings fried crispy are CRISPY. They are about to extend their hours one hour later than what is already posted. The slush margs are $5 everyday all day. When the sun come out, their patio will open. Def the place to be!!!!

Upon our arrival around 10 minutes before 8 PM, we were asked for identification as we proceeded to the bar. Everything seemed fine until we left around 10:11 PM. As my husband retrieved his cigarettes from his coat pocket and grabbed our clear food container, a security guard, a heavy-set gentleman in a purple sweatshirt and blue jeans, without any visible identification or formal security apparel, hustled behind us, inquiring about a drink cup. Despite having food, we were treated with suspicion. A second security personnel member followed (Not schedule to work named Charles W.), dressed in casual street clothes without any visible identification or formal security apparel adding to the discomfort with an aggressive demeanor. I voiced my concern, stating, "We are not like that." This wasn't just an innocent misunderstanding; it felt like profiling. As my husband enjoyed his cigar, the second security guard continued to watch us, which was both unwarranted and unsettling. In an environment that claims to embrace Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, we saw none of that during our visit. Questions for the owner of Hideaway Restaurant: 1. Why do your security staff not wear recognizable uniforms or badges? How are patrons supposed to identify your security personnel? 2. What protocols are in place to ensure that all staff, especially security, are trained in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion standards? 3. How do you handle incidents of alleged profiling or discrimination, and what measures are taken to address such concerns? 4. Can you explain the training procedures for security personnel regarding interactions with patrons, especially in terms of recognizing and addressing possible biases? 5. What actions will you take to ensure that no other patrons experience what we did? 6. Are your security personnel certified and properly trained according to Maryland state regulations? I ran out of room giving the backstory so I cut it and and will start from here…read more ... We get there and there is a line. Not a long one but it wasn't moving so one of us says "Let's get a table". Guess which one didn't say that. While they are deciding if we are going to get a table, I read the dress code. It said not sweat pants but my sweats weren't bad. What I was wearing looks like casual sweats that a ball player would be wearing so when I asked if I would be able to get in, the guy was like yeah, no problem. I was a little suspicious and my boy started laughing because it seemed like dude didn't even let me finish my question before he said yeah. He must have know how smooth I was and how I would add appeal to the club LOL. My thought was we would stand in line and enter because the main reason we were going to do bottle service was to ensure we get in with what we were wearing. Come to find out, we were entertaining bottle service because we are old and they wanted to ensure they had a place to sit down. So we tell them we want to get a table and this is when we get to see the staff in action. Up to this point, we only see out front security dude and a lady letting people in at a slow pace. They go get someone to arrange our table and they walk us in. The dude that walks us in is very professional. I thought he was walking us into a safe deposit box in a vault the way he handled us. It was nice. We get in and there is a section to our right of younger people, mid 20's it turned out and 2 were having a birthday. They were pretty mellow but they were coupled up. Once the single women started to join the party, it was a whole different vibe. Table was a $850 spend which I thought was a bit much for this place. I mean, it's in the MGM but it isn't Vegas which was only $150 more. I got Uncle Nearest because supporting black businesses is important to me and a bottle of Grey Goose because we don't drink Tequilla and we love Grey Goose. We asked for ginger beer, cranberry juice, orange juice and sprite. We didn't get the ginger beer at first but we did get ginger ale. Eventually they brought out the ginger beer but that took a while. However, that didn't matter because it took even longer to bring out the spirits. I don't remember the woman's name but she was a good server. She was reasonably attentive considering it seemed like she had a lot of tables to attend to. There were times we had to stop her as she walked by because we needed something. She was obviously preoccupied with what the other table asked of her but we also needed something so I stopped her and asked if they had stir straws that you get in rock glasses because we had full size soda straws but only rock glasses and that don't work well. She did get some straws cut for us in a timely manner. I'm just going to come right out and say it. There were way too many dudes in there. I don't know if it was more balanced at one point and the women were just like, nah and rolled out but I hope they weren't just letting people in because they were in line. I am a compassionate person and I understand it's a struggle to get into some clubs at times but you have to keep the balance. I know you want to make money and dudes spend money but they spend more money if women are in there. I guess some money is better than no money but I think it taints the brand. I'm not pressed to go back because it had to be 11 guys to 1 woman. Now, we weren't out for that but the ratio is still the appeal. The DJ was pretty good. I don't remember when he actually started spinning because I was focused on the game and didn't notice him til the TV went off which I'm guessing is when he got up there. I hope my vision wasn't that focused on the game that I didn't see a DJ standing right there but there wasn't really much of anything to watch but the game unless I wanted to watch a club full of dudes watch the 6 women dancing together on the dance floor. Most of the people dancing were couples that look like they came together and groups of girls. I saw two girls dance with what seemed like randoms but everyone else was just standing around. I guess they were taking just a break from gambling. It wasn't a bad experience but it wasn't one that makes me want to go back anytime soon. If this service was in a different place or if it was a better night the review would be slightly different. They can't help that I chose to come out on this specific date but it was a Friday and we did stay til they kicked us out. Yup! The old dudes shut that piece down! LOL.

How did I not know TAP Sports Bar existed?…read more TAP is basically what happens when a stadium, a fryer, and a casino have a baby; loud, chaotic, and somehow exactly what you needed. I was fully invested in the Duke game because if they won, my bestie would be back in DC. So yes, I was out here cheering for the Boozer brothers like I was trying to get their mama a plane ticket. Not wanting to deal with the National Harbor side, my friend suggested TAP and honestly, clutch move. The struggle: a 30-45 minute wait for a table. The plot twist: the to‑go line was just as long, and they'll shut it down if the kitchen gets overwhelmed. But it was available. The pivot: the outdoor area was wide open. No bar, no servers, no crowd, just sunshine and empty plush seating and tables. So outside it is. This worked perfectly because we both weren't drinking! We ordered at the bar, grabbed our food, and watched the game outside like VIPs who chose peace over chaos. Inside: TVs everywhere, sports blasting, people yelling at screens like the players owed them money. It's chaotic in the best possible way. Service was friendly but slow but still, the staff somehow kept the whole place running like a well‑oiled machine in the middle of a sports‑fueled tornado. Final verdict: Come hungry, come casual, and come patient. TAP is fun, filling, and exactly the kind of place you go when you want comfort food with zero pretension. Now... let's get into it! Juicy, messy (in a sexy way), and stacked like it's trying to win a televised food competition. Highly recommend. This is officially my new spot for all things sports. Plus, free parking. A no‑brainer. Find me here on game days! Perfect outdoor place to be!

Unfortunately, the food didn't make up for the experience ....it was just average and nothing to rave about. 3 orders of Bland Turkey burger and salty fries Jumbo wings that were a size of my hand . *Even one of the bartenders were aggressive smh
