We had a wretched experience and while I hope it was a rare night, it was enough that we (my family of 4, mom, dad, and sister) don't ever want to come back. Service was super slow (20 minutes to take our drink order, 20 min to bring drink, 15 min to come back for our dinner order, etc), despite being practically empty. When our food came, half of the orders were wrong or missing something and the other half were cold. We asked for a manager, but was told she was too busy. it looked like the manager and half of the shift were simply hanging out in a booth drinking soda and talking. This is on par with your standard local chain restaurant. Moderate price points, quick service and big portion sizes makes this place an excellent stop off for lunch. That being said, I cannot really complain. The chicken sandwich was good and it was only $6.95. The amount of french fries and the salad I got made it an even better deal. Came in around 10:20pm ordered our food. We ordered steak and chicken tenders. When our food came out it was completely wrong. We had no chicken tenders, we asked about it. They came out and said the back of kitchen was already closed that's why we didn't get them. Waiter ask if we needed more drink we said yes. He came back to table and had one of our drinks but then told me they already got rid of the rest of the tea. The manager didn't come out and say nothing and we didn't get a discount on our food. My family and I have been customers of cheddars for many years. We have always gotten great food and great service. Tonight none of that happened. It took about 25 minutes to get our food. When we got it my mothers meal it was cold. She ordered white fish. Cold fish is not appetizing. My baked potato was cold. The Diet Dr Pepper was flat. The waitress said there was problems with the coke machine. We asked for tea. We finally got it when we almost finished eating. The waitress said it was only her 2nd day. She had like 5 tables alone. Everyone in our section had major problems with their food. The manager had to come over to three tables to deal with issues with food. When we got our bill they over charged my mom's meal. We had to ask for it to be corrected. This was a horrible dining experience. We asked for the manager but she never came to our table. read more

We were fortunate to stop here based on reviews. We had excellent seating. Excellent service - thanks CODY - and all 3 meals were fabulous! Meals were chicken, shrimp and tilapia. sides were awesome and the buttered honey croissants are to die for. I'll be brief. The parking lot tells the story. Great food, low prices. The best bourbon glazed salmon I've ever had. There is much to choose from on the menu, servers are prompt. Tried my best to like this place, but its not gonna happen. Called in a to go order today. Was put on hold for 10 minites just to get disconnected/hung up on. So i called back, put on hold again for several minutes. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger,( with toppings on the side) and a fried chicken salad. Got there, and after waiting for the bar tender to fix an employee an alcoholic drink and a talk for a few minutes i was able to get my order. After cramming my food into a bag, she basically threw my reciept at me. She acted as if i was disturbing her. Then i got my food; IT WAS WRONG!! It was as kids meal cheeseburger with all the toppings on it, and the chicken was cold. Not barely warm but cold like it was refrigerated or something. They were not busy, and they probably never will be. They clearly need new/better management to whip this place into shape. My husband and I were in town because he is working at the Air Force base. So incredibly thankful we chose Cheddar's last night for dinner. Sometimes it isn't always about the food, their customer service and welcoming nature far outweighed any other dinner experience we have had. The food was wonderful but the manager on duty (Janet) and the kitchen manager (Tina) went out of their way accommodate us and wouldn't let us pay for our dinner. I loved this place but tonight I was so disappointed and extremely upset. The food was so horrible I don't think I'll ever go back . It was cold ! I had the chicken tender and shrimp had two pieces of shrimp I asked for broccoli and got rice that tasted like armpits. My daughter and I went here for an early Fathers day lunch. Thank you Chedders for ruining just about every part of the meal. Hostess was nice enough. Waitress was pleasant but completely incompetent throughout meal. To the empty water that she passed by the table numerous times without filling/replacing, to not bringing salt and pepper which were requested early and not brought until entrée. The first two croissants were warm and very good. The second ones very doughy and obviously not done by the size and color.The chips were very stale on the appetizer. Replaced with fresher ones. They were literally left over from before covid by the taste. Salads came maybe three minutes before entrée at the most. Croutons were mushy and unedible. The steaks came well done with a medium request. Mine sent back for a new one which came back as the worst two pieces of meat that I have ever eaten in a restaurant. Yes, two pieces that were supposed to be sirloin. One piece that looked like a Steakums only smaller and not nearly as good. the other was barely better. The French fries were barely warm and close to soggy. The one other good thing about the meal was the ribs I took home and ate later. The only other good thing about the meal was spending time with my daughter. No, I will never go back to this place and advise anyone I can not too. read more

I love the restaurant. The service and atmosphere is great. Your food is delicious but I am gluten intolerant. That doesn't just mean that I have an allergy to it. It means that a small trace makes me deathly sick. I have Celiac Disease which make me intolerant to nay thing that have wheat barley or wry in them. You need to study you menus and make sure that you have a menu that you are confident does not have gluten in it. Sometimes seasonings have a trace of gluten in them. I ate there this week and had a delicious meal but then I had stomach pain all night long. Something in that food had a trace of gluten in it . Thank you I appreciate the effort you have already made to help gluten intolerant people but you need to search even spices and seasonings . You will loos e customers if you don't. Went to Cheddars for dinner tonight. We ordered some chicken tenders as an appetizer. More on that later. We ordered our meal, I asked the server if I could get my burger medium rare they replied yes you can. My wife ordered tortilla soup and a house salad. I also ordered a house salad as my side. Both salads came out before the appetizer. When the appetizer finally showed up as we finished our salads, the chicken was cold and the celery was old looking with no snap. My burger shows up well done and dripping with mayo. The tortilla soup was awful and my wife didn't eat it. We really wanted this to be a good experience. We were planning to eat at Panera but it closed early tonight...Cheddar's is just around the corner and brand new (our server told us it opened on 5/3/10). There were a lot of people waiting outside and the parking lot was full but there was ONE spot right up front so we thought we'd take a chance. The wait was 30 minutes - not too bad - so we grabbed a menu and sat outside (they weren't serving outside tonight...too bad, because the patio is just awesome -- a fountain with fire!!!). The inside, when we were seated, was very nice; think modern pub with a Caribbean flair--dark paneling and seating with skylights and palm fans, and an aquarium built into a wall. The menu is pretty diverse, too. Burgers, steaks, seafood, a little cajun. All three of us had fruit-infused tea: strawberry, mango and peach. They were all yummy. Our son ordered the Hawaiian chicken sandwich. Husband had Cajun catfish with red beans and rice and corn for the sides (you get two). I had Key West chicken and shrimp with red beans & rice and broccoli casserole for the sides. We also ordered the honey butter croissants. They were out of honey butter but that was our only disappointment of the whole meal. The food was SO GOOD, all of it, and very reasonably priced ($5.39 for the sandwich; $6.50 for the catfish, "lunch" portion; and $8.99 for the chicken/shrimp dish). We will definitely go back. Hopefully they'll have the honey butter next time--but if they don't, it wouldn't matter much - the croissants are terrific just plain. read more
