I am so disappointed to write this review because the food was so great. We came here around 8 on New Years Day. This location has a double drive thru. It has a few tables for outside seating. Not a lot of parking but we quickly found a spot. I got online at 810. There were only 3 visible workers at the time. One of them was on her phone instead of helping customers or her two co-workers. They would take an order, then close the window for long periods of time. There were only 3 people ahead of us in line. I suggested to go to Burger King in the next plaza but was told we already waited 20 minutes and should stick it out. I didn't order until 835 when a fourth worker appeared to start taking orders continuously. I didn't get my order until 858. I don't know if they were understaffed or there was an issue I was unaware of. 48 minutes to get fast food? This had to have been the longest I have waited. The fourth employee could tell the customers were annoyed and did her best to keep people calm and the line moving. The only reason I stayed was the food which was amazing. They have great prices and options of food their competitors don't have. I got the Pretzel Pubster combo and Cheesesteak Bites. The bites were awesome. The burger was really good and just the right amount of greasy. The "pretzel" bun was ok. Didn't really taste like a pretzel bun unless they ran out and they didn't use the correct bun. The fries were crispy and had great seasoning. If you're hungry, order a large. I didn't realize it was a small meal. My small coke was more of an ice cup with a splash of Coke. Not a lot of soda in it. To recap the food and pricing was great. The service for whatever reason was lacking. read more

HORRIBLE idk how they even allow this place to operate. We waited over 30 min in a drive-thru line of 3 cars. They asked us to repeat our order 3 times. The person that handed us the food had a nasty attitude, gave us nasty looks and gave us an awful looking burger. When we told them it was not the bacon burger, she went back, and within 2 MIN came back with the SAME thing. How did it take 2 min for you to make that but it took us 30 minutes waiting. Make it make sense. Shut this nasty place down! read more

Tried the Chicken Bites and Fries box - fries were hot but bites were rubbery, like they had sat for a bit. When I placed the order, the clerk asked what sauce I wanted. After picking up my meal, no sauce was given so I asked. The same man told me there was a charge. Don't ask me what sauce I want if there's an extra charge, unless I ask and you advise me. The ownership here is terrible. They have 3 people working away in 12+ car line up including counter orders as well. As much as I can say the service is poor is because you only have 3 people working. They can do only so much. The food was as expected its fast food at 1am. The white lady handling frying look very overworked. I felt terrible when I got to the window. They need to hire way more people work the night shift! We loved Checkers! Food was delicious, perfect for some comfort food after a long day. We had fries, funnel cake fries, cheeseburgers and a chicken sandwich. Everyone was happy! Oh and the fried mushrooms.... We'd go back just for those. Service was super fast, we were the only car in the drive through on a Friday night, and the person working the window was friendly. This wasn't a good experience. The wait was very slow, it took almost 40 minutes to get our food. When we got our food and pulled off, apparently they dropped most of our order the bag and all the cheese and ingredients were mixed up and just sitting at the bottom of the bag. I went back and told them. They did remade most of the original order of food. I asked them what happened and they didn't have any answer for what was going on. I left and then noticed that they also didn't put any utensils in the bag either. But didn't feel like waiting on line again. I got back to the car tasted the food, and it didn't taste like anything. It was warm but it wasn't good. This is not what I am use to at Checkers. I won't be back to this location. read more

It has been well over a year since our last visit and I decided it was time to put the past behind me. When we pulled up we did notice lines at the walk up as well on the open side of the drive thru; they only use the Driver's side from what I can tell. Because they were pretty busy it took a little longer to get to the box to place our order but when we did were greeted by a pleasant voice ready to take our order. We decided to keep it simple and just order some dessert and Mom wanted some cheese fries. We were given our total and ask to pull forward. There was another wait for the cars ahead of us but eventually it was our turn at the window where we were greeted with a smile as we paid our total and waited for our food. As I looked into the restaurant I could see the employees busily moving around from station to station getting orders prepared and handed out. Then ours was finally ready and was handed out to us with a smile and a thank you. Our food was fresh and tasty just as we remembered. Hopefully the person that was unkind in the past learned their lesson for their poor choice of behavior that day. I am happy I chose to return and give Checkers another chance. There were two people involved the manager heavy set African American and young small skinny girl African American, they used profanity and didn't want to disclose there names or Corporate number to make a complaint we waited for almost half an hour and when I asked what was going off the y shouted and asked me if I would like to help and screamed profanity and names. Oh, I how I enjoy Checkers food which is sooo not very healthy, but tastes sooo good after a long day of walking around Disney World. This Checkers is conveniently located near the many fun attractions in Kissimmee area, which has twin drive-thru lanes and a pickup window for walk up customers. There's plenty of outdoor covered round checkerboard table seating next to the drive thru. The $1 Value Menu and the Double Value Menu (2 for $3 and 2 for $4) rock!!! My favorites here are the very greasy Deep Sea Double, Champ with Cheese, Chili Cheese Fries, and a large Banana Shake. Now that's cheap and quick tasty dining in my book! This location is absolute garage. We sat in the drive thru for 45 minutes and still didn't get our food. We watched the car in front of us get handed incorrect orders TWICE. The guy at the window took orders back from the car literally twice because they were the wrong orders. How is this place in business? The guy at the window looked super unkempt and utterly clueless. We couldn't even leave the drive thru because it's a single barricaded lane. We were literally trapped in line waiting for 45 minutes! Literally the slowest, least professional fast food place EVER! Took this place over an hour to fill a simple order or nuggets and tenders that was to be picked up by uber eats. They took so long 4 different uber eats drivers cancelled before I finally received my order. When it finally got to me the drinks were iceless and watered down, meaning they made the drinks an hour earlier then thought it would be a good idea to send those drinks out with the food that wasn't ready for another hour. Not only that, they didn't give me any of the 4 dipping sauces that were requested. I can promise you I will never go to or order from this location again. By far the WORST service I've possibly ever had. Ask a question and the cashier just shrugs her shoulders like she don't give af. Ask to change it to a full meal and she just smacks her teeth. Go to get our order at the window the I'm guessing manager basically throws our order out the window. Half hazardly gave us our ice creams and almost drops them on my kids . The ONLY reason it's one stars is bc the food is bomb. Oh and when i went to get straws since they failed to give us straws and napkins, the lady fixing orders stared at me looking like an idiot. Stopped by this evening to use a couple of the survey coupons Checkers emails as a thank you for providing feedback to them. Was told at the drive thru speaker as we went to order that we couldn't do two separate orders from the same vehicle as that would back up the drive thru. Looked in my rear view mirror confirming there wasn't anyone behind me. I was then told that they weren't accepting the coupons we had received two hours earlier from their corporate office via email. Manager refused to provide her name. This is consistently the worst service in town. The location doesn't show on the Checkers website as an open store, they aren't open on Mondays or Tuesdays and for the days they are open, they don't open until 5 pm. The orders we receive are rarely correct and many times the food is cold. I called the corporate office on my way to find dinner elsewhere. They offered a $5 coupon for our trouble. I told him that $5 was an insult and there was no way I'd ever go back to that store again. The entire staff has no customer service skills and the manager is just plain rude. I'm not sure if they realize that the feedback posted on reviews like this will cause them to lose business which jeopardizes their job security. I'm not sure how to fix stupidity like this. Unless you don't mind cold food, not getting what you ordered and rude service, you'd be best served to eat elsewhere. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area that have better food and service than Checkers. read more

Located right off the highway in front of Old Town in Kissimmee this Checkers is in the perfect spot to indulge in belly engorging unhealthy eating. And yes, I hit it up every damn time I am down there! Cheap ass food as you can't beat the dollar value menu. Tasty burgers, hot dogs, shakes, and awesome seasoned french fries. Drive through windows on both sides, and some outside seating in between. Not something to eat all the time, so I'm glad I only visit my folks down in Florida a few times a year. read more
