How many ways can you disappoint a customer? Tried to place mobile order using coupon in app. Coupon stated to apply at checkout. Showed deal in bag, yet still charged my card full price. Called and told nothing could be done, no cancel option. Went to pick up and the order was wrong. Paid over $6 for a "free" big buford sandwich and got a cheeseburger. No, I did not leave rest of the order and everything else at house to get cold to drive back. HORRIBLE! read more

I don't understand this fast food company. I have tried visiting this location many times and have only been successful a few since 2008. Their app has never worked correctly on Android and has been consistently performing a bait and switch by inviting customers to the location with coupons that can never actually be redeemed. I remember trying to visit here once during the pandemic and I had ordered through the app, and even though there were no other customers in the drive-throughs or at any of the service windows, they insisted that I exit the drive-thru lane that I was in and go to the other lane which was, I guess, dedicated to app orders. I left that time and canceled my order and didn't return until now, several years later. Why did I return today? I was bored with our usual food options and looked at the app and saw a buy one get one free Big Buford combo. As consistent as this company has always been, there's no way to use the coupon. I've confirm that I have the correct items in my cart but the coupon is still grayed out. I've contacted your customer service team and they were aware of the issues but did not have any tools to correct them, still over a decade after this problem first started appearing. This company hates customers. Try interacting with any of the employees that actually work at this location or any of the locations at their customer service and you will see this is a company that hates their customers. It makes sense. This is why they have treated me and my family so poorly over the last 10 plus years. I won't ever be back to this location and will try to avoid Checkers and Rallys for the rest of my life. I do have a call in to a regional person named Carol. I wasn't successful in getting in touch with her and have not heard back from her yet, but I really don't have any confidence that she'll be able to solve any of these chronic issues because I am convinced that Checkers and Rallys are operating in bad faith and intentionally have kept this bait and switch system in place for over a decade. The lady I dealt with tonight.... She definitely shocked me. I had to wait a bit longer for an incorrect order and she was so polite and offered me a complimentary drink. I was so shocked by that lol. That would never happen at the Lem Turner location. Staffing staffing, staffing, specifically miss Laquita! I eat here regularly since they're located up from my hotel and the staffing experience is just consistently, genuine southern hospitality, from this staff. I suspect the staff across the street at McDonald's were All rejected from the DMV, so yes, checkers has selected only the best employees The food is addictive and everyone else has those ridiculous freeze dried onions, checker's "cheese" contains fresh sliced lettuce and absolutely perfect slivers of onions $9 the combo, just can't be best for genuine fresh sliced lettuce and tomato. Plus there's a watermelon slushie, available absolutely, no where else!! read more

Horrible! I'm not a regular Checkers customer but I've been a few times. There has been a problem there every time! The last straw was signing up for their text club (for a free sandwich) and then spending my time and gas to go get the free sandwich and their coupon doesn't work! I stood in 96 degree heat for 10 minutes trying to get the coupon to show on my phone and finally gave up and went across the street to Burger King (where I've NEVER had a problem). 100 free hamburgers wouldn't be enough to ever get me to a Checkers again! First off I ordered a LARGE garlic Parmesan loaded fry and I got a small. I've ordered large before and the is not the container that it is put in. Also the gentleman at the drive thru looked to be in his 20's heavyset white guy was super nice and understanding with helping me with my coupon since the AI kiosk thing wouldn't take it. Now the lady that was on the fryer was absolutely unprofessional and rude swearing at him calling him a f*cking dumb a** amongst other extremely vulgar things just for adding on a fry that was part of my coupon. She continued to say things at him saying your dumb a** needs to be handing out those meals to the customers. I apologized to him for how he was treated by her and he said it's an everyday thing with her. Whoever she is I hope she gets fired. read more

Well Checkers seems to have stepped up its game as the food has greatly improved and the customer service is even better. I was craving a burger a while back so I opted to drive-thru and just went with the Big Buford....hey go Big Buford or go home I guess. I added a little more difficulty to the process to the order by making mine with no onion, extra tomato and extra pickle. Drive thru went quickly and service was with a smile from the super friendly Jeremy. I paid and got rolling checking out my burger a little while later. For a fast food burger it was really good. Much better than the other options on the block naminly McD's and BK and Hardees, but I would say this burger was really as good as a Five Guys, which I find sort of greasy and not as good as they were when they first appeared on the market. I have not ordered the fries here so I cannot comment on those, but I have had the same hamburger now a few more times and its consistently good and if you see Jeremy, he is always friendly and full of smiles and enthusiasm. read more

I had to post one star. It was sure poor customer service tonight The staff was busy but not very fast. And I assume the way the carry their fries to the cooker (a spoon full at a time) is also not very efficient. Fries are terrific! I usually have mine eaten before I get home! And their burgers are pretty good too. I've never tried their chicken so I don't know about that. I've heard their shakes are delicious when you can get one. Their shake & freeze machine are always down when I order one. It is the only place to order a banana flavor that I know of. That was what I wanted, but was told, our machine is down. If I could have driven away I would have, but they have you blocked in. So I just ordered iced tea (which they don't have that either....so a coke had to do). I waited 30 minutes to get to order what I really didn't want and then I know 30 more minutes to drive away. read more

They stay open late and the food is cheap. We're night owls and we're not rich, so those are two plusses for me! The burgers are pretty greasy and aren't the best in the world, but hey, they're cheap. I personally don't care for their fries because they have seasoned fries (I don't like seasoned fries from anywhere), but both of my daughters love them and they will come here just for fries. Wish I could recommend them myself. I also will pop by here when I'm craving a funnel cake and can't get to Disney. Yes, I said a funnel cake. Are they are good as the ones you get at Disney or a fair? No. But they are good and they do cure the whole funnel cake craving (which I seem to get all the time for some reason! Haha). They aren't huge and aren't really meant to share. Kinda like a personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut... they are personal little funnel cakes. Anyway, if you like funnel cakes, you should try one! I've never had bad customer service here. I've had indifference service from some of the people at the drive-thru; however, the majority of the time, I have really good customer service with a smile. read more

Not sure there has ever been a slower fast food restaurant. I've been sitting in the drive through for 20 minutes and no one is moving. This is truly incredible. I haven't even tasted the food yet and I already knew I'm going to be disappointed when I do. Not sure anyone is actually in the kitchen or if they all abandoned ship as soon as they too my order and locked me into a purgatory of waiting for my food. Wish me luck. read more

So my boyfriend and I ordered a DoorDash from checkers.. checkers accepted the order and then the door dasher called and said checkers was out of fries ... and slushies. So 3 out of 6 of our items weren't available and they didn't try to give us any replacement items or a refund): checkers is usually pretty good, big bummer for us. This place is so horrible! I went in to wake for food and the lady told me that I had an attitude because of my accent, I just asked for a burger with fries . Never thought I'd faced racism by a Sister. Just keep driving and don't even think you'll get food. read more

Terrible...Terrible...Terrible service. I've been twice and each time was awful. They took forever to get a simple two person order the first time and half wasn't correct. The second time, we pulled into the left lane(Checkers signature two side of the building service) three cars on the other side we helped before someone finally came on the speaker and asked us to go back around and get in line on the other side because they weren't serving both sides today. We were trying to make our order we got confused with about one if the items . Instead of calmly explaining the menu item to us, she yelled at us that they didn't have what we were asking for. And then further exclaimed that she would not be taking out orders because we were playing and wasting her time. The food here isn't the best in the world, but it's not terrible...The hamburgers are decent...Nothing special, but they are very cheap... The customer service at this location is good...The staff is friendly for the most part... The line is never very long.... A big plus about Checkers is that they are open late.... read more

Grease fest!!! I love the fries and the BLT but everything else seems to just taste like oil. The service is hit and miss!! They do not carry unsweetened iced tea which is disappointing to me. It's easy to get in and out of and they usually have specials but that's about all it has going for it. read more

Waited 10 minutes after ordering to be greeted at the window (we waited at the window for that whole 10 minutes) following that, we waited 5 minutes after we got out 2 drinks for food. Never once did the worker come to the window and say she need a moment because she was short staffed or whatever the situation was. I work in fast food, waiting, and the military. In each job, communication is key. This whole experience would not have been bad if the works had communicated with us. I will never return to this location. read more

Pretty typical for checkers. Ok food at fairly low prices. Service was a bit slow tonight to have just 1 car in front of me but they had my order as soon as I drove up. Have been here many times & most times it's been Ok. .. few exceptions were less than Ok. Good place for late night munchies & light pockets. ;) read more
