I usually never leave bad reviews, and I understand that it's McDonalds so I can't expect a whole lot. BUT my family and I just went through the drive thru and it took FOREVER (per usual for McDonald's). The first thing that bothered me was that the lady over the speaker was rude and trying to rush us. My husband was flustered trying to order. It was very unprofessional. My MIL ordered a Coke and they gave her Diet Coke. My Oreo frappe was half full when they handed it to me. I paid for a medium, I would have appreciated a medium amount of drink! To top it off, there were no straws or napkins in the bag. My FIL had to go inside to get some and the man at the counter (who was standing right next to the straws) told him to go get his own straws at the drink counter! He was RIGHT NEXT TO THE STRAWS!! Horrible customer service. Now I'm not trying to be a Karen, and I understand that when it's busy it can be easy to forget things, but the whole experience was just not good. If at all possible I strongly suggest you go somewhere else to grab a bite to eat, especially if you are in a hurry. Why you ask? Because plan on camping out so bring your tent and supplies cause it may take you all night long to get your food whether it be from the drive thru or going inside. I must say, probably the most poorly run McDonald's in Florida. Ive worked for McDonald's in key west FL for 2 years a decade ago. We had emphasis on quality food and customer satisfaction. This is the first McDonald's for me to see go against that. I guess it should be expected considering the sketchy part of Jacksonville its located in. Upon arriving to the order box, the girl who took our order was nasty and gave off a negative attitude. First off, we arrived and the drive thru wasn't packed much. That must've been red flag number 1. Then she told us, they were only taking cash..... One of the top food chain restaurants only taking cash today? That's odd. 2nd red flag! We ordered 3, 10 piece nuggets, 1 quarter pounder, a double quarter pounder meal and 2 big macs. Needless to say, she forgot a 10 piece and the quarter pounder. I drove from the window as we checked the bags and came around within 1 min of ordering!! We told her what was missing and she treated us like a couple of beggars lying for food. We just came back from a show so I didn't think we looked like hoodlums who'd be back in the line lying for a little mix and match deal but if that made or broke her paycheck then I guess so? She tried to tell us she bagged the food and didn't forget anything then called another lady, Shaquana, with a gray shirt, Her supervisor who also tried to convince us that she was the one who actually bagged the food. Who knows who bagged it honestly. We showed her all our food to help her realize all we had but it didn't matter. We clearly must've been hiding the missing food and wanted to get back in the drive thru instead of driving back to Savannah, GA like we wanted to. Shaquana told us she could ring the food back up but she couldn't give us the food and if we didnt like that we could see the GM in the morning. She was very rude with her tone and words but i guess this was life or death to them. No biggie, I hope that extra dollar an hr for overnight employees is worth it. It's McDonald's. You should know what to expect as far as the food is concerned. It's McDonald's. We always use the drive-thru to get our food. Since we've moved back to the northside of Jax, I haven't had any trouble here. Drive-thru has moved quickly and my order has been correct each time. I am most impressed by how very, very friendly the employees are at the drive-thru window. They even put napkins in the bag ... I am use to having to ask for them at pretty much any and all McDonalds. They are open 24 hours, but after a certain time, they have a limited menu. They do have a Redbox, but it is located inside. It sucks that it's located inside because if we want a movie after the lobby has closed for the night, then we are out of luck. But I can't blame McDonalds for where Redbox placed the thing, right? read more

I often frequent this McDonalds it's always clean and presentable. Customers service is quick and courteous. The food is usually hot. Sometimes the littlest of things can make or break a sale, like no croutons for salad or no French salad dressing. Sorry, I may be being petty but today's visit cost you a sale. 6pm on a Sunday, heavy rain so decided to order for counter pickup rather than try to order with the window open in the drive thru. First problem, no signs informing you of the locked and closed dining area; found that out while in the rain. So to the drive thru. One of the two lanes is closed as well. Ok. Finally reach the speaker to order and already knew this would be "fun" but sure enough, they seem entirely unaware of how the app works as they keep insisting I have a letter/number combo code to provide them. No, I've told them a few times already that we had ordered for pickup inside before finding the doors locked; for counter orders, the app simply shows you your name with a four-digit order #. They ask a few times if it's this order or that order; nope. They can't find our already placed and paid for order. I hear someone repeatedly in the background also asking "ask him for the code!"!Finally they agree it's best I pull up to the window. To which a different employee immediately goes "Kimberly? Yeah, I've got that!" Wow... But ok. She asks what the drink was, before coming back with a filled cup and "our coke is watered down... would you like something else?" Hey, I appreciate that. "Sprite?" "We're out of Sprite, too." "Sweet tea??" Ok. Get our food after a 15-20 minute ordeal and depart. Find that a double cheeseburger on the order was made a single. Just keep this negative service trend going... Doors locked, can't figure out their ordering system, sodas down, incorrectly made order... Yikes...the drive thru....I received the right drinks in the wrong sized cups. When I ordered 30 nuggets I only received 3 BBQ sauces and when I requested a few more the worker gave me an excuse. They didn't have their Value Menu posted on the drive-thru sign so I asked what was on the Value Menu. She then, in a loathsome tone, proceeded to run off the menu items, very quickly. I frequent this McDonald's solely because it is literally on my way home. There is no other McDonald's close by. Although I am used to waiting up to 30 minutes to get my order, tonight was simply the worse experience I have ever had at a quick serve restaurant. Assistant Manager, Shamika handled a situation so poorly, that I am leaving disgusted and knowing that their customer comment line is a virtual black hole, this is my only outlet for sharing this terrible experience. Here are the details. My family decided that we wanted dessert, but did not want to drive all the way to Cold Stone Creamery. We settled on McDonald's because it was on the way home. There was quite a line inside, not because they were busy but because they were moving at such slow speed as is usual. I finally was able to place my order for 4 sundaes and 6 cookies. I made a special request that half of the sundae topping be put on the bottom of the sundaes and half be placed on the top. I paid for my order and checked out my receipt as I waited and noticed that I was charged $.40 extra for each sundae (mind you that a sundae is only $.99) for extra topping. I asked the cashier about the charge and then explained that there was a misunderstanding in that I did not want extra topping, just the same amount split in half on the bottom and top. He called for a manager (Shamika) to process a refund and then started working on my order. He first got 3 oatmeal raisin cookies and called back for my 3 chocolate chip cookies as the display was empty. Manager Shamika came and processed the refund, and it was clear I was inconveniencing her. I did explain to her that I did not want extra topping, but the sae amount split between the top and the bottom. She commented that it is their policy to charge for extra topping when doing this. Then the cashier started making the sundaes as I ordered them with half of the topping on the bottom and half on top. After he was done making them Shamika noticed that he had divided the toppings in half and asked him why he did it since she refunded me for the extra toppings. He explained that he put half on the bottom and half on top as I had requested and she continued to argue with him directly in front of me. This made him anxious and he dropped one of the sundaes (caught it before it went far) but it would have to be made over as half of it was in his hands. He started making the dropped sundae with Shamika still berating him right in front of me and she told him to "just leave". I know I was done with the situation and he followed her instruction and left as he should not have to face this abuse either. Then Shamika took over taking care of my order. She finished making the dropped sundae and then put all 4 sundaes in a tray. I had not yet received the chocolate chip cookies so I asked her for these and she rudely pointed out the cookies I had in my hand (which were the oatmeal raisin cookies I had ordered) and I explained that I ordered 6 cookies, 3 of which were chocolate chip which were empty in the display and I had not yet received. She left and returned only to say that the cookies had to be made. Please keep in mind that 3 of the sundaes had already been sitting and melting for a good 15 minutes at this time. I asked her if she would be able to remake the order so that I would receive everything at once when the cookies were finished. She grabbed the sundaes out of the tray and stormed to the back throwing them in the trash dramatically. Finally the cookies were ready and she remade the sundaes (not as I had requested). She did tell me to have a good evening (clearly out of obligation) and she made it clear she was done with me. Clearly I should have asked for a refund and just left. I have asked Ms. Moreland, the owner, to contact me on numerous occasions, but I am always promised that she will call me and then the call never comes. I suspect the poor cashier that was trying his best to satisfy me as a guest no longer has a job, but it is Assistant Manager, Shamika that McDonald's should clearly retrain or ask to leave. The best thing for this location would be actual training (and probably the flushing out of all leadership for some fresh and properly trained talent). Simply disgusting.... read more
