Went for the usual double fish sandwich, a good deal served hot and crispy. My complaint is directed toward the IGNORANCE DISPLAYED by the staff being unable to understand or supply the amount of sodium in the sandwich. (I readily found the nutrition values for ALL their sandwiches on the internet) A follow up call to suggest they keep this info in printed form available to staff was unanswered and a recorded message stated "the mailbox is full". This means to me that management should be admonished to DO THEIR JOB by answering the phone and allowing messages to be made. read more

Decent fast food. Tastes much better than McGarbage and Burger Thing. And seasoned fries... who doesn't love those? (even there there was just a bit too much salt on mine last time). The service is pretty good too...given the neighborhood, that is. They have a chicken sandwich on sourdough bread that I really like, but it's only offered for a limited time. I don't usually eat Checkers but my parents were raving about the fish sandwich. I popped up at this location on Ash Wednesday so that I could get a good fish sandwich at a reasonable price. I ordered the double fish meal combo since I couldn't have meat. When my order came up, I hastily raced to the car because it was quite cold out in the DMV on this particular night. I knew I should have checked my bag before I left but I didn't. If I had checked my bag I would have noticed before I got home that I only had 1 fish patty and there was no cheese on it. I was too tired and hungry to go back up to the restaurant. All in all, the fish sandwich did live up to the hype but I wish that had gotten my correct order...maybe next time. read more

Every time I come to this particular checkers,I get one of the fish sandwiches and it sucks bruh. It's dry flavorless and looks 5 days old. Dry is an understatement. I know a Checkers is a Checkers but I just found out that they have the cutest little $1 milkshakes. They're not Top 10 good but they hit the spot when you're craving something sweet and cheap. The burgers are somewhere along the lines of Burger King instead of McDonald's. I haven't had a hot dog with chili and cheese from there in years but I'm sure the bout of heartburn you get later is still worth it. The service is always hit or miss but usually pretty nice for folks who are cooped up in a small space for their entire shift. Damn, I shouldn't have written this when I was hungry. *no stars* Customer service was awful. My friend and I ordered two lemon pepper chicken combos. A dark-skinned, young man (I forgot his name) brought out our food and I checked the bags. Only one chicken combo was in the bag. I went up to the window and told the man that we were missing one and he said both were there. I'm thinking that if I checked the bag and I'm at the window, I KNOW that everything is not in the bag. He then told me to bring the bags to him. By the time I went to get the the bags the food was already halfway gone. Instead of giving me a second chicken combo, just to have good customer service, he argued with me saying that he put everything in the bag, but it couldn't be true because the second combo was NOT even on the receipt. All I wanted to do was get another combo and I had my money to pay. Due to his stubbornness I told him never mind and he SLAMMED his window while I walked away.
