PLEASE! DONT BUY FOOD HERE!!! My wife and I went in today with our 2y.o and saw they had a good deal on the food in the bins. Was digging around for not even 10 seconds and a freakin mouse went bolting towards the back of the bins under some boxes. My wife and I debated on whether to tell the staff about it and ended up telling some older man with glasses about it and he and the other guy working didn't express any emotion or hardly a response. Seems like they already knew about the issue but have not taken care of the issue. I went here once. They are a resale store for returned items- they buy returned items in bulk and resale. Obviously they go through the boxes and take out the best stuff. Forget about finding the Diamond in the rough here. This place is only good if you're looking for a specific item which you can get for half-off retail. Otherwise it's expensive and stuff you don't want l. They even have a section for food which is probably all outdated. I looked at a lot of stuff and everything I saw was past the expiration date sometimes by years!!! They have boxes or pallets you can buy for a set price. Forget them. The psychology of overpricing junk. I want to really like this place but I can't. Rummage through random bins to find good deals. I checked out this place once or twice and thought it was an odd place full of overpriced junk. A lot of poor-quality items here, damaged merchandise. I visited on a Friday afternoon - when the prices are highest. That being the case, I expected the bins would be well-stocked with new merchandise for the week. Nothing but junk. Nothing they advertise was available. Saw nothing in the bins worth $13. There are some interesting things here - never know what you will find. Total bait and switch tactics. The white older guy (Cheaper by the Day owner) is super rude, unfriendly, and very unprofessional. The CBTD owner doesn't value his business or customers. Seaun R. the store owner is a total grifter and smelled alcohol. If you find something like a great deal, they don't give it to you for the price of the bin. The owner changed the price on an item that was from the bin when I got to the register. Thought this would be nice but after buying 9 boxes, and one box that said: "guaranteed over $100". All items were broken, or trash. The "surprise boxes" were being filled while we were there and the dude was literally just scooping the broken stuff from the nearly empty bins into boxes. I've come here a couple times, my first time I didn't have a good experience with the owner but maybe he was having a bad day, I changed my mind on my review because he has nothing to do with the items, anyway, ur going to find things here way cheaper, you can see what you're getting unless its mystery box, so the people talking about the clothes being dirty or stained... pick up some clothes that aren't, I've purchased many clothes from there and they all perfect condition:) you can open the box and see what ur getting so how about you check it out first and then purchase. I've been here about 8 times now--I don't always find items that I purchase but when I have come across things, they're quality! The latest thing I bought here was a Target new Opal House brand 5x7 rug for $40. I would def recommend checking out the right hand section more than digging thru the bins unless it's the $1 day. Unlike some of these other reviews, I love the thrill of the chase! I'm not on the hunt to resell so I can't speak to the actual monetary gain if you tried to purchase a whole pallet, but for picking through, it's pretty fun :) read more

Don't expect to show up to a perfectly organized store. You're coming to dig through bins for deals. The bins have various items from clothing, pet items, home decor, etc. I have found tons of great items. Not every time, but most the time I walk out with something great! They do have bigger ticket items that are along the wall and in other bins. I have scored a brand new portable AC unit, new dyson fan and what looked like a returned (unused) Keurig for a fraction of the cost. My biggest and best find was a factory sealed iPad Pro for $400! And and Apple Pencil for $50!!While I don't find amazing big ticket items every time, I do find them. The bins are replenished on Thursday's and all items in the bins will be $11 for the whole day. Each day the bin price drops by $2, eventually the items will all be in $1 on Tuesday. I will warn you that Tuesday $1 days are absolutely insane! The line up begins early and the shoppers that day can be very aggressive. A lot of the items that come from Amazon come in boxes so they allow you to open and see what's inside and even test it at a changing station. A lot of people trash the place by pulling everything out of the box and leave it, causing missing pieces. Don't be an asshole like that. Just put the items back for the next person. Like I said before, you may not find something amazing every time, but the more you frequent the better your chances to find something awesome will happen. They are constantly filling the bins daily. If you like the hunt and a killer deal, this place is for you! Oh I forget to mention, on Saturday all bigger ticket items are an additional 20% off. Happy hunting! read more

I found several good things at this store, however, the mystery box was a total scam. My box was labeled "Costco". There was only one thing in the box that I could identify was from Costco, and it was a pack of 5 white towels - every one of which was damaged and stained (we're talking large holes and corners cut off of the towels). I wouldn't expect to find this in a mystery box where you cannot inspect for extreme damage before purchasing. read more

Im an avid thrifter and so as soon as I walked in I was excited to see the 11.00$ tiktok boxes advertised but as I walked the bins and then the outer parts of the store with furniture and appliances I was left with a very meh feeling. Lots of smart keypads for 50-250 - quite the range but ive gotten similar keypads like these in better condition at value village for under 10$ long story short pop in if you are local but id avoid if you are used to goodwill/thrift store prices. This place is a piece of crap. It is what it is, but the owner and side piece employee are the rudest humans to walk the planet ...and I don't say that often. You can be the only one in the store and they will walk by and not even look at you. Today, their Instagram roped me in. Said they close at 3pm. I'm shopping and they shout, closing in five minutes! No apologies, nothing. 20 min early. Then, I asked the mean employee of a clothing set was charged as a set (I heard the plastic tag snap when I dug for the bottoms). He said yes, absolutely. Get up at the rude owner tells me no way. No apology, no nothing. I told him the other guy said yes and that they should get on the same page. Again, not even a look. I like bargain stores and coming here, but I don't need that. I don't deserve to be treated this way. And I will spread the word in this community that these men don't care about their customers. Here's the thing: CBTD is a great concept, but it is so poorly executed here. The signage is lacking, so first timers will come in and be confused. The bins are full of returns and surplus/salvage from stores like Target, Amazon, Walmart. Many of the items are broken, inoperable, missing parts, etc., so you really have to dig to find things worth buying. But even then, why on earth would you pay $11, $9, $7, $5 for things clearly marked $1 or $3 from the Target 5 Spot? Why not have a sign saying anything marked at a price lower than that day's price point, will be sold at the listed price-- they've paid pennies for these items, so even $1 is profit for them. These guys have purchased pallets of surplus/salvage for pennies on the dollar, and are trying to sell at as high a profit as possible. They sell furniture and appliances as well-- all of it at prices WAY higher than you would find at a Best Buy scratch/dent section. Example, a cheap microwave that I've seen on sale at Lowes for $70 brand new, with a warranty, was marked $80 here, no box, no warranty, AND it was dented. Keurig machines that sell at Target for $75-80 are listed at $90+ here. And CBTD doesn't do returns or exchanges. Buyer beware! The furniture pricing is more than Costco prices, and everything is open and used. The other storefronts on either side of CBTD are FULL of more items they don't have room for, because their merchandise doesn't move, because it's way overpriced. If they were smart and really wanted to move products, they'd be selling things at a much lower price point. For example they're selling a cheap patio gazebo thing that looks like you'd see at Big Lots or a Walgreens (aka, low quality and inexpensive) for $250. They probably got it in a pallet of overstock or surplus for less than $20 each. Why not sell it at $50 or even $75 and make a decent profit, as opposed to them just sitting there for literally months. There was a sofa table that I've seen at Target for $100, and they wanted $180 for it. If you're even a mildly savvy consumer, you would just drive to Walmart or Target and do your shopping there! All that said, my teens both enjoy digging through the bins every now and then, and have found some fun things. We just go on the cheaper days ($5/$3) and ignore the appliance/furniture sections. read more

Similar experience to all the other reviews (poor customer service (stand-off'ish), trash heaped bins, saw the same waffled iron a year ago; the one thing of value I bought was an Insignia Air Fryer that cost about two-thirds of retail. I was happy with it until it caught fire while I was out walking the dog with my son. My daughter, who already has house fire trauma, was alone to extinguish the flames. She managed well since I keep extinguishers handy throughout the house, but it took a day or so for her to recover. Come to find out the air fryer was recalled due to it randomly catching fire. When you enter there are huge signs on the wall saying everything on the shelf is five dollars and everything in a bin is a dollar. Higher ticket items are marked with colored slashes, a purple/is $75 for example, or maybe it's a green/I don't remember. I picked up a few items out of the dollar bin, everything was extremely junky, opened merchandise spilling everywhere. However it is a bargain bins store. When I got up to pay, I was informed that the toothpaste I had was seven dollars and the other two items were seven dollars each because the small sign by the front door said that everything is seven dollars on Sundays. WHAT? Then why have signs on the wall? I don't think I need to pay seven dollars for a tube of Colgate toothpaste I can get at the dollar store for a dollar. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. Need a waffle iron? When I first learned about this concept, I was super intrigued. I'm very familiar with the owner's restaurants, and was super stoked to experience his new endeavor. This is a new concept to me, and I LOVE finding stuff on the cheap. The owner has customer service experience, and he has a keen eye for what customers like. I've been twice, and said I wasn't going to buy anything, but ended up with some awesome treasures. My favorite is a Brita water bottle I purchased on my last treasure hunt. I liken this experience to shopping at a much cleaner Goodwill Outlet. I love digging through the bins to find cool stuff. I hear he's taking over the former Grocery Outlet location. Older grey haired white guy (owner) is super rude, unfriendly, and very unprofessional. This business closes at 3pm. We were out the front door by 2:53pm. He rushed us out and treated us so rudely as if he wanted to leave before closing time. Yes, they don't follow their business hours. Prices are not all that great. You get what you pay for. Lots of generic face masks, and phone cases and broken items (JUNK); things you might find in a dumpster. Pet food/treats are all expired, yet they still charge $5 per small bag. It's 1:45 and the guy tells me we are closed though there's people shopping, he says I gotta leave in 5 minutes. We went last week, prices of items that you would be interested in are not the daily reduced prices. Example USED keurigs were $85 each (smallest ones) ... new ones were on sale a target were $70 tonight. We found allot of junk (water guns in winter and phone cases) We went on a Saturday. TikTok be damned! You get what you pay for. They have a lot of bins full of opened inventory and a lot of overpriced items in the bins. They also have some mystery boxes. The $11 mystery box is put together by them and since I bought two of them I ended up with a bunch of expired snacks and two undersized pillows. They didn't even fill the box past the bottom level. If I had more money and more guts I would probably try one of the larger Amazon return boxes that hadn't been opened by them. read more

It's a cool concept. I went on a Tuesday so all items were on sale for $1 (with the exception of the furniture and electronics). The store has a good system in place to make sure the store is not overcrowded and that all customers have some shopping time. The selection is a little lackluster by Tuesday since most of the name brand items are gone (closed on Wednesday's for restock - reopens on Thursdays @ the item price of $11 if I recall correctly). Will try to go again on a Thursday or Friday to see what the product selection looks like. Good finds nonetheless! read more
