This is such a cute store! I walked in here without really aiming to, and glad I did. They have masks at the entry, as well as hand sanitizer, so I felt very safe browsing around! The staff were welcoming, yet allowed me to browse without disturbing me. They have a great variety of items, so something for everyone, and at very reasonable prices! Love the relaxed vibe too, would be happy to shop here in the future whenever I was looking for some nice soaps, or clothes, or anything for the home! Plenty of street parking around too, and right in downtown Snohomish. read more

Don't get your hopes up, you'll fall in love with something and then be told it's "Not for Sale". Been here three times and two of those times were laughed at by the front desk women that we couldn't buy it. They also have no "Display Only" signs. Very disappointing and annoying. read more

I love the products at Joyworks and hate the experience. It's the type of store you can explore and get lost in, with unique items and great displays. The clothing section, is updated often and while it skews older, is often very stylish. The prices are on the high side though, and the service is non-existent. Often several people will be behind the counter and talk to each other while checking you out. As a younger shopper I've found the staff dismissive and condescending, even when making large purchases. read more

I absolutely adore the items this store carries and even buy items here to use as display in my own shop. My problem is the absolute and total disregard for customer service I've repeatedly experienced. The first time - I went in the day after Christmas to buy an ornament for my family's get together and ornament exchange. I picked up a gorgeous glass ice skate, the last one they had. AFTER I PAID FOR IT, the sales person (while talking to the other women behind the counter) broke the ornament while wrapping it. Accidents happen, and even though I was really bummed that I couldn't take that ornament to the exchange, I found a different one to take in its place. After finishing the transaction, I asked if I could take the broken, useless ornament THEY HAD BROKEN, to show my family what I had originally chosen - since I'd chosen it to commemorate my deceased grandfather, who'd been an ice skater. The woman who'd broken it explained the situation to a much older woman behind the counter... EXPLAINED THAT SHE HAD BROKEN IT... and the older woman told her I'd have to pay for it if I wanted to take it. Are you kidding me? The woman who originally broke the piece did give it to me to take, but I left with a bad taste in my mouth due to the attitude of what I perceived to be the owner. Second time - I went in the shop in mid-February to find a display piece for my shop, and picked up a neat bent wire rack priced at $13.99. It's extremely similar to another rack I'd picked up in the shop last summer for thhearmeroar.nete same price, so I thought nothing of it. While checking out, the woman behind the counter (when she stopped talking to the other employees long enough to acknowledge me) told me FOUR TIMES that she was sure the price was too good, and that it must have been mismarked. This wasn't a what-a-screaming-deal you got congratulations, this was a surely-you-switched-the-tags accusation. I know that everyone can have off days, and I certainly plan to shop at Joyworks again for now... but I do hope they can take notice of the fact that just having a fantastic store with wonderful displays and products isn't enough to insure great ratings. The customer's experience is more important than ever these days, and I think Joyworks has a little work to do in that arena. read more

Why? Why do I keep going in here and giving them my money for overpriced stuff when they are obviously irritated that I'm buying it? I mean, just today, I purchased 3 drawer pulls, 1 necklace, 4 shirts and because I was feeling yucky, a bag of caramels for a total of over $200!! I have purchased many things here over the past 12 years and each time I walk in the door no one says, "hello!", "how are you?" or even, "what the he** do you want?" They have an abundance of overpriced stuff I generally enjoy looking thru and carry clothing brands which are clearly not top of the line, but I'm stupidly willing to pay more than I should for them and yet the cranky middle aged employees still get irritated when I whip out my Visa! (Hey, I'm middle aged too, so I can say this!) But, in their defense, I have found that 90% of the shop employees in Snohomish are this way even though when people shop, they are making a day of it for fun. Not like having to buy plumbing fixtures or slugbait!! Is it because they know that selling a piece of wood for $29.99 with the word "Coffee" or "Laugh" is ridiculous? Or that selling a "vintage dresser" for $400 which was probably found on Offer Up for $10 and then covered in chalk paint? Drive around downtown Everett and you can pick up similar by the side of the road and have a great DIY day! So, I give them two stars. One for being able to stay in business with this service and one for idiots like me who keep shopping there even though we are unwanted. (P.S. Visited the store and purchase some unique finds. The store is huge (by downtown Snohomish standards) and you can easily get lost while browsing through their displays. Items range from signs to clothing to jewelry to food to antiques to knick knacks. There are two floors and a number of rooms (very "choppy" layout) with different themes (mostly by color). There was a line at the counter since there was only one cashier on a busy Sunday. It was hard to tell where the line started and ended because there were displays everywhere including the floor! Overall, one of the better stores downtown, but could certainly use more staff on busy days. read more

When I'm looking for something different I go here, I love to go here and browse their clothes. They have some really cool unique pieces. Some of their stuff is a bit pricey. I grew up in Snohomish and started going to Joyworks when I was old enough to drive myself there. I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews about the women that work there... Everyone that works there is very nice; some are more quiet than others, but everyone is helpful and very sweet. I have since moved out of the town of Snohomish, but I still go here to look for décor and clothes for myself and for gifts. Their clothing options have increased over the years and they are much trendier than they used to be. They even carry some of the same brands as Nordstrom, but also carry unique brands you've never heard of, so it's one of my favorite boutiques to go to when I don't want to drive all the way to the mall. I still have items I purchased years ago that I get compliments on and are still in great shape. The ladies are so helpful they even tell you when they should be receiving more of something you like and they show you other options they have ordered that you may be interested in as well. Their return policy is also a plus. read more

I live in Snohomish and would have loved to further shop here but the staff is so very unfriendly that I decided to never buy here again. After I asked them to gift wrap an item they packaged it in the ugliest possible way and were very unfriendly about it after I mentioned it and asked for a somewhat nicer packaging. Sorry Joyworks but the plastic bag and an half heartedly placed ribbon are ugly and didn't bring joy at all!!! read more

An example of a company with fabulous customer care and high end quality for reasonable prices. I live on the east coast so my experience is with the online shopping site. I found an adorable crochet hem tank extender and decided to purchase. Long story short the postal system delivered to wrong address or somehow lost item in shipping process. Amy ( who responded to my request for location) was a great help from the start. She went over & beyond to amend the situation which was no fault of her own or joyworks. When I quickly received a replacement tank with a handwritten note & adorable crochet trim socks as a surprise "sorry for delay" gift- I was floored. All this care for a customer who ordered one item! The extender is great quality. Many of my own boutique customers have already inquired about.
