The tree put two holes in the roof that were leaking into the house. I called my insurance company and then called Big Timber (our first time needing a tree service), they were already on a job but committed to come out to to take a look at the mess. At 10pm they were here checking out the tree and the damage. Because the tree was so big and was on the second level roof a crane would be needed to keep from further damaging our house. By 9am this morning the crane and the team were here and working on the job. An hour and a half later they were finished. The tree was gone. My yard was cleaned up of every twig as if nothing happened. My roof was covered in a tarp which was fortunate because it's raining again as I type this review. There's not much more I can say, Denny and his crew did great and fast work exactly when I needed it. Don't hesitate to give them a call.

When I arrived at the arranged time she was not there, the employee on site informed me that I was wrong and too early. The employee calls Justin, ( I assume who has a position of authority?) Paraphrasing our phone conversation, he loaded my trailer and essentially is never wrong, I on the other hand was trying to cheat them and essentially lying. I was told /asked to come back in two hours, the time according to them I was to arrive, an offer I viewed as useless. Details!! On 10-2-2020 I purchased a "Cord" of wood from this operation, ( Cord is 128 cubic feet regardless of piece size.) The trailer is 8'x12' with 3' tube steel sides. The construction makes estimation of wood purchase simple, see photo. When I was leaving Justin, who I paid, bragged how I had over a cord, I knew different but needed to stack it to prove his error. As photos show, two full 8'x4'x14"racks and one ~14" high. *CF math is based on average 14" length size of wood supplied by Kane. All my math was rounded up giving benefit to Kane.* I was missing ~42+cf or ~$60.00+. Firewood purchase is a case of "Close Counts" as most online wood heat sites will attest to for inherent reasons. In this case Kane Wood Fuel wasn't close or more accurately their employees. (My apologies if I spelled anyone's name wrong.) * I gave one star to Kane Wood Fuel and one star to Margret for her attention and effort to correct the error. I choose to believe her actions were sincere and were circumvented by others.*

With our agreement of a very big job I put down a large deposit/down payment (and that comes with the territory when you want a big job done) but you are risking that money because you put it out without one hour of work done or any product delivered. that being said, these guys agree to do the work with the balance being paid at the completion of the job. Pretty simple right ? Not so much , I come home from work on the first day of the 3 day job and the owners son is already asking for chunks of money because he " needs to pay his guys". Not really my responsibility?! But you feel like being a good person and help the guy out....but then each day he keeps going to the well wanting more money $$$ . After all this, you would think that this guy would honor his work ? Nope , when I show him proof of a dead tree he claims it is alive... just dormant. Just no talking sense to this company , it's a shame , they're local and do good work but they can't get out of there own way. They tore up my property driving truck on it and scratched up expensive deck furniture. They ordered extra sod (after promising any extra would be used) but then refused to lay it and let it go bad. Won't replace the dead tree after finally admitting it was dead claiming there's a 30 day " warranty " on tree ! They planted it dormant and it never came to life like the others . Instead of working it out to finish the agreed upon job they just threaten you with court and lawsuits when you won't pay for unfinished work. Gladly will get a laugh out of the judge when they are shown this company's fraud!

They were the second lowest of five bids and we chose not to go with them because of the additional work they wanted to perform. Had that been the end of the story they probably would have gotten four or five stars but here's the reason for the two stars. When I called to advise them that we were going with a different company, the woman who I spoke with asked who we are going with and how much we were paying. When I advised her who we were using, the first words out of her mouth were, " you know, they use Mexicans" and at least was saying that they may not be covered by the insurance policy. The tone and ignorance in her voice made me realize that we actually did make a decent decision because had we gone with them i would have regretted it
