We are extremely pleased and highly recommend them. They did an amazing job!! We had 20 trees cut down, and they did it all in 1 day!! (5 of those trees were huge, and within feet of our house) And because all of the trees were so high, they had to use great caution to avoid them hitting our house, deck, fence, our neighbors house, and the electrical wires on both sides of them. They also did all the stump grinding and they cleaned up as they went. My neighbors were even impressed with their work and are looking at using them in the near future for their tree work. I can't wtite enough great things about this company the guys were such professionals and and seemed to always have a smile on their face, even though they were working so incredibly hard they cut down three trees and trim down one in my front yard. We had a massive tree fall in our yard during a storm. My husband started the job but it became too big of a task. We also had a relatively large dead tree that needed to come down before it crushed our fence, so we started seeking professional help. When I got home from work one Friday and found the flyer from Cheap & Great Tree Services in my mailbox with a "Free Stump Grinding with Purchase" coupon, I immediately showed my husband. We had two trees removed previously but left the stumps for later. It was hard to say no! I called Cheap & Great Tree Services that Saturday afternoon and an estimator, Dani, came out to our home to assess everything later that same evening. We were quoted for not only our massive tree removal, but the dead tree, our two stumps from previous tree removals, and three debris piles of branches stacked high. We were advised they were able to get the job done the Monday following our estimate. It sounded too good to be true but it wasn't! Not only did Cheap & Great provide a quote that helped us in more ways than one during a difficult time but Manuel and his team provided top notch service!! Did good cutting trees however with their heavy equipment driving on my driveway it broke a chunk of it. My driveway was only 6 years old and was not damaged before they drove on it, I had 6 videos showing them where the crew drove in the damage area. They denied it and told me I was lying and not their problem But I texted and called over and over and they never responded and left me stuck with coming up with a way to fix my driveway. I guess I'll try small claims court and see how that goes. read more

Able to show up quickly and take care of my trees very quickly. They were extraordinarily proficient and capable. Literally able to drop trees I thought would be difficult and made it look simple and fast. They handled a big job with several large trees as well as some moderate sized ones. Took care of my existing stumps in top of the new ones as well. They gave me a good price and then went around the neighborhood offering to extend my neighbors a discount for work that day since they were already in the area. Very pleased with their work. The before is another season, but it gets across the idea. We have since planted around 11 cedars, 5 apples, 4 peach trees, and a fig. They totally ruined our yard and won't do anything about it, left trash everywhere, lied about coming back to fix what they messed up. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Extremely unprofessional will damage property . My neighbor used this company to trim branches on a tree in HIS YARD. This company drove a tractor thru my front yard over my grass and driveway to get to my neighbors yard instead of going up his driveway . I immediately asked them to remove the tractor from my yard and of course they all acted like none of the could speak English! My neighbor came out and reprimanded the company and made them move out of my yard. They also ran over a 2 ft by 3ft cable box in my front yard which immediately knocked out internet in the ENTIRE front portion of my subdivision. They didn't even bother to let us know they ran it over. No one knew until neighbors began to call each other and we noticed they ran over the box. I then called the Company to alert Rick of the situation . Rick had already spoke with my neighbor and was well aware of the situation but told me he didnt know what I was talking about. I asked Rick IF there was anyway he could assist myself or the neighbors " I work from home my internet was down two days" he hung up in my face. After providing an estimate, Daniel immediately pressured me for a $1,000 DEPOSIT Daniel left my home and came back which then changed the DEPOSIT to $500. When I decided not to move forward due to their poor reputation and reviews, Daniel became extremely aggressive. ​Despite being told multiple times to stop calling and texting me. I called my husband and told him about the harassing calls/texting from this guy.. It eventually escalated to a verbal altercation where the contractor was cussing at my husband. This company removed a tree from my yard illegally, without getting permits from the city. I received a fine for $2,400 as a result. I called them upon receiving it and they assured me that they had gotten permits and would promptly resolve the issue and call me back. Having not heard from them for several days, I tried calling again. Call went straight to voicemail. Odd. Called several more times over the next few days. All straight to voicemail. Tried calling from my wife's phone and it goes straight through and I talk to the guy at the office again. He tells me again everything was done right and he's follow up with me. Call back from my wife's phone and they had blocked her number as well. These guys are absolute scammers do not use their service. Last week my grandparents were looking to have a tree in their back yard cut down. My grandmother had an estimate done by this man in the morning and they quoted her $400. My grandmother told the man who quoted her this amount that she needed to talk to her husband about it, intending on getting some other estimates done-- not giving the man a direct yes/no answer. Later in day while my grandmother was not home, she missed a call from the man who did the estimate, but he left a voicemail informing her that his guys were in the way to our house. She listened to the voicemail a while later. Shocked, she called me and asked if there were people in our backyard taking down the tree. Which yes, there were. I went out and confronted the 5 men, 3 of which were lounging on our outdoor furniture. They directed me towards the man they claimed was their boss, and he said that they had a card in file and had the go ahead. I told him he was wrong. The tree was already down. My grandmother arrived, and being in an unfair situation and caught completely off guard, she shortly left thereafter to get $400 out of the bank for these men. After the entire ordeal, I checked the yelp reviews for this company, and saw that this business is notorious for abhorrent business practices. You should all be ashamed of yourselves. The tree is gone and the stump is grounded, BUT we went through some communication hurdles to get there. They are pushy and even when I told them I needed HOA approval and Utility 811 lines marked, they kept pushing to come out. I had a relatively small job that most other tree services wouldn't even quote me. They arrived the same day I called with a quote and started the work a few hours later. There was a lot of debris that didn't fit on their truck so they said they'd come back later. I expected them to come back the next day but they returned at 6:30pm to remove the debris and said they'd grind the stumps the following day. Which they did bright and early. Don't use them!!! We just used them today and they hung up on me when I called having an issue. They over charged and didn't do what they said they would. Tried to call to get info what went wrong and they hung up on me mid convo. They sent a 35% coupon in the mail and my husband didn't realize it so when I asked about it, he said it was the price with the coupon. They asked my husband what the other companies charges and he told them (he shouldn't have done that). This company reduced the price by $300 than other companies. When I called to say we had the coupon, they said they inclided the coupon. If thats truly the case, they are WAY OVERPRICED!!! We were going to have them cut down 3, 2 struck by lightning the insurance was going to pay for and one we were having done. They told my husband they'd come cut the one and wait for the other 2 for the insurance to give us the money. They got here this morning and cut ALL 3 DOWN, so we had to pay for all of them which we didn't have the insurance money yet. They they went right to work, they had a great system, they were safe and quick. Four large tress down in about 3 hours. They piled up all the trees and said they would be back later that day to take them away. That was six days ago. Several phone calls, broken promises and a lot of frustration. My mistake and recommendation... I should have paid them half of the bill when they finished the take down, with a promise to pay the rest when the trees were taken away. This is their Columbia SC operation. They are affiliated with Greenville SC and Georgia, but I don't know the relationship. Do not use this company. I asked them to top off my 6 magnolias and then thin out a few branches. I came outside after they had done 3 of them and saw they had cut almost ALL of the branches off, leaving a tall, almost bare 25 ft trunks! I call it a huge BUTCHER job. I was able to save the last 3 and manage the cutting, which was difficult since no one spoke english on the crew. I called the office number and asked the guy to come back out and take the 3 trunks down to the ground since they look so bad. After a big runaround conversation with him giving me attitude, he said if they get in the neighborhood sometime they will take them down. Welll.....we know where that will go! WARNING: Tree Service Company - Lack of Accountability Want to share a recent experience with Cheap & Great Tree Services in Woodstock, GA. They worked in our neighbor's yard and left unresolved damage and debris to our property...then went completely silent. During the work, massive amounts of debris fell into my yard - branches, trimmings, the works ..landing on top of the fresh pine straw I had just paid to have spread. I have video of their crew actively working as the debris was falling onto my property. Branch feel on our fence and fence was damaged in the process. I have video of one of their crew members attempting to fix it on the spot - and failing. The fence came down. When I contacted the company: They acknowledged the damage They promised to come back and make it right They never showed up They stopped responding entirely I sent photos. I sent video. Complete silence. A reputable company does not leave your yard & fence a mess and ghost them when it's time to be accountable.
